Theyskens' Theory was one of my FAVORITE Spring 2012 collections, I would wear seriously all of the looks below.  This collection is so wearable from the colors and fabrics to the pieces themselves and the styling all the way down to hair and makeup.  It is full of amazing jackets, pants and tops! I love it so much that I can't even think of anything else to say about it, ha ha.

Love Your Body Day 2011!

Today is Love Your Body Day and Ashley over at Two Eyes in the Mirror has asked all her followers to do a post about why we love our bodies or how we learned to love them! To be honest I am never good at writing meaningful blog posts so this is a little hard for me, but it is definitely important for me to do this post. Society has put too much pressure on girls, and boys, to be perfect.  But the thing is, there is no such thing as perfect in the way that society wants us to think.  We are all perfect in our own ways. I am short, with man shoulders and sometimes I wish I had a smaller chest, but I wouldn't want myself any other way when I really think about it.

I have slowly started accepting my body for what it is and I embrace my shortness.  It means that I can wear super tall shoes and not be a giant, but I can also wear flats and be proud of being a shorty.  When I was younger, until I was 17, I did gymnastics and that stunts your growth and puberty so I never really had a chest until I stopped, it has taken me a long while to get used to the fact that I now have more curves but I am starting to get used to it.  It does mean that I cannot wear certain kinds of tops [I don't like showing too much] so I can't really wear v-necks or deep scoops; but I don't really care for those anyway so it works!

Some things that I LOVE about my body are my legs and awesome hair and my butt. Do you like how I made that last bit smaller, it feels a bit weird to say it, but I really do enjoy my tuckus, it looks lovely in jeans ;)

So no matter if you are tall, short, skinny, normal sized, flat chested, not flat chested, have big eyes, a big butt or man shoulders EMBRACE your differences and love them! They are what makes you, you!

Why do you love your body?!
Here we are with my Alexander Wang booties again, I can't help it, I'm obsessed! But today was the first time I actually wore them out and about, aka to work.  I decided to keep this outfit simple to really focus on the shoes, but over the fall/winter I will try some crazier outfits!  I can wear them with socks and tights so they can carry me all the way though winter...meaning they are a year round shoe, PERFECTION!

You guys hardly get to see my hair in it's natural state, but here it is! My hair is naturally straight if I let it dry on its own. But I'm usually too lazy and I put it in a bun after I shower and just go to bed and let it dry that way. I take my showers at night because I am NOT a morning person, I prefer to just get up, get dressed and go. That's also why I do my posts a day early, ha ha.

Who else LOVES Halloween?! Last night I decided to start watching all my Halloween related movies in anticipation.  Last night I watched Halloweentown, tonight its Halloweentown 2, and then I have to watch Return to Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus, Casper, Beetlejuice, Teen Witch and lots more that aren't really Halloween themed but they are magical! And of course I'll watch some on tv that I don't own on DVD. I'm not doing anything on Halloween this year because I'm a bum, but I will definitely be watching my favorites that night.

I really need to get better at picking what pictures to post, but I always have a hard time narrowing them down!  One of these photos I did some major photoshop work on [not color correcting], can you guys guess which it is?!  I'm going to post the original on my Facebook later so you can see ;)

Sweater: Willi Smith hand me down, Jeans: American Eagle $0, Booties Alexander Wang via The Outnet gift, Ring: Forever 21 gift from sister, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Fingernails: Chanel Paradoxal
Toenails: Chanel Vamp
Here are some detail shots of me new Alexander Wang Freja booties from The Outnet! I only just got them (as a birthday present), but they are already one of my favorite pieces!  Weather permitting I will wear them today and take outfit pictures to post! So cross your fingers.

I LOVE the color of these, now I need to buy more burgundy/maroon (what a shame ;) )  I also love that I can wear them folded down or up, I prefer up, but they also look really cool down as well so it's nice to have options!  I have been wearing them every night with thick socks to stretch them out a bit more because they feel a little tight around my toes when I have bare feet...

Today we have a lovely giveaway from Shabby Apple, an online vintage inspired clothing boutique! But before that a quick review of another Shabby Apple product! I chose to review the White Rabbit's Time Keeper, a pocket watch! I am a sucker for any type of watch or clock so I love this! The detailing of the case is wonderful, especially on the back. The opening function of the watch works, so you can feel just like the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, oh how I love him.  The only thing I didn't like was the clock doesn't work, but all the positives outweigh that one tiny detail.

For the giveaway I chose the Coco Bean dress, one of you lucky ladies will win this dress in your size!

To Enter: Follow Closet Fashionista with google or bloglovin and "Like" Shabby Apple on Facebook. Leave a comment telling me how you follow me, and leave your email so I can contact you if you win!
You must live in the USA to win.

Extra Entries:
Leave one comment for EACH additional entry. Each comment counts as an entry so if you put all your extra entries in one comment that only counts as 1 entry...

Giveaway Ends: October 23rd 2011 at 11:59pm
This was quite a boring week as usual, I worked every day as usual and then came home, ate dinner and watched movies.  Tuesday, as you know, was my birthday and I was hoping my co-workers would forget, but someone reminded everyone. We had some cake and everyone bugged me for trying to hide the fact that it was my birthday, ha ha.

On Monday night I ordered the Alexander Wang Freja booties from The Outnet and they got to my house on Thursday so I went to pick them up [if you look closely at Friday's picture you can see them]! They fit perfectly with tights on but they are a little tight when I have nothing on my feet...but I like how they look with my toes sticking out so I'll have to see if they stretch a bit.

As for my outfits...I love Monday and Tuesday, I'm not sure about Wednesday (I think I like it) and I really don't like Thursday or Friday, too frumpy, but whatever...I was lazy.

Ugh, I've been such a bad blogger this week, I didn't take outfit pictures yesterday.  But it was raining when I got home...so that would have been kinda hard.  So instead I have decided to do a dress for less outfit! :)  We all know how into purple I am lately so I made an outfit centered around these awesome purple pants. This took FOREVER, I couldn't even find accessories, and I'm going to bed super late, so you better like it :p Aren't those pink shoes amazing!
Pants - ASOS $34.92
Sweater - ASOS $34.92
Blazer - ASOS $48.02
Shoes - ASOS $36.67
TOTAL -$154.53
[I went a bit ASOS crazy]
I was going to post an outfit today but I didn't have time on Monday and I was too lazy yesterday, ha ha...so I'll have to photograph today's outfit unless something insane happens.

Today I'm posting some more Spring 2012 looks that could also work for fall because of their color palettes. First up is the Rodarte collection. I love how they used Van Gogh paintings as inspiration and the dramatic makeup used. And as you all know I LOVE wearing purple, so that makes me love this collection even more.

Next we have Yves Saint Laurent, once again TONS of purple, YES! There are a lot of separates which is great because you can then mix and match all these great pieces together for many more looks. I'm glad to see the jewel tone trend is going to continue because those are the types of colors that look great on me.

Today is my 23rd birthday! Yay! Sadly I will be spending it at work and won't really be celebrating, but I don't really make a big deal out of my birthday anyway. I don't like being the center of attention and actually dread when my family sings Happy Birthday, ha ha. So yea, no real post today...but here's a cute picture of me when I was little, wasn't I adorable ;)
22 was a pretty darn good year, I'm not sure if anything can ever top the awesomeness...let's do a short recap in order of occurrence, shall we? [it will link to a post if there is one]
P.S. I FINALLY bought the Alexander Wang Freja Booties from The Outnet with my birthday money...It has taken me ALL weekend to hit the "Purchase" button... I just feel SO bad spending all that money on one item (they were $220 with the 20% off coupon, and my birthday money paid for them, but I still feel weird) I'd been staring at them since they were on net-a-porter and then since last month when they got to The Outnet....they better meet my expectations when they come! :p
I'm way late to the Spring 2012 fashion week party, I was going to try not to post any collections, sadly I fell in love with FAR too many!  There are looks from 26 collections that I want to share but I am not going to do them all the usual way.  I've made collages of all the looks from each collection that I liked and will be posting them in groups, except for Burberry, Chanel and Theysken's Theory because I couldn't narrow down my choices enough. I'm going to try to spread them out though so you won't be inundated with Spring looks, we are in Fall after-all.

Moving on, first up in the recaps is Burberry Prorsum, aka one of my favorites! I actually think most of the looks in this collection could be worn right now during fall, which is a plus in my book because I always love Fall ;)  The rich colors Christopher Bailey used are perfection and I also love how he is starting to use more prints in his pieces, it's still Burberry but with a twist. So without further ado, here are my favorite looks from the collection! Click to enlarge.
