I've tried to group the collections into similar themes/trends, so this post is the black and white collections! First is Givenchy, I've never been a huge fan of Givenchy but the last few collections have been changing my mind, all these looks are super cool and I could totally see myself wearing these looks, even the all white one which is saying something since I never wear white.

Next up is one of my favorite designers, Jason Wu! Jason never disappoints, his looks are always pretty, polished and a great mix of girly and edgy.  I would wear the whole collection, especially the 8 looks below.

Finally we have Pringle of Scotland, this collection which is so perfectly wearable!  I know fashion week is usually about grand shows with crazy pieces but I always love seeing collections where I can wear the looks right off the runway, and with Pringle of Scotland I know that's what I'm going to get.

A couple weeks ago, Misikko asked if I would like to review one of their Blow Dryers. I got to try out the Hana HANAair Professional Hair Dryer; but they also carry other items such as a CHI Hair Dryer or Straightener. I'm not usually one to blow dry my hair because 1. It takes FOREVER because I have a LOT of hair and 2. My hair is always really frizzy for some reason when I do it. So normally I let my hair dry on its own.  But when Misikko asked me to do a review I figured I would try it out, it is a "Professional Hair Dryer" after-all, what was there to lose.  So here is a lovely progression of me blow drying my hair...excuse my sweater...it used to be my little brothers and it is my pj top ;)

1. Brushing out the millions of knots

2. Begin blow drying...

3. Blow dry some more!

4. And we're done!

My hair came out SO soft and shiny and it wasn't frizzy like it usually is when I use a blow dryer. But the best part was it only took me 15 minutes, probably less because I was taking pictures!! You do not understand how fast that is for me, usually it takes much longer!  This blow dryer comes with an awesome directional concentrator so I could blow dry my hair better in sections. [I didn't get a picture of that though, but it is in the product photo at the top]. And you can blow dry your hair with cool or warm air, I chose warm because my house is freezing.  I also used the HANA Shine Shield Thermal Protectant which is great because it isn't slimy when you use it and it protects your hair from the heat of blow drying (or straightening, but I don't straighten my hair).

In short, this blow dryer is a keeper! I totally recommend it. I am definitely going to be blow drying my hair more often!

This post was sponsored but my opinions are my own.
I am so excited for this weekend! I have the house all to myself (since last night) and I'm planning on having a Halloween movie marathon and watching all my Halloween movies! I have to go grocery shopping first though, I'm running out of food! And I'll need tons of candy to pig out on while watching too.  AND I have to make some French Macarons for our work Halloween party on Monday. That's just for Saturday though, Sunday I'm going to my Grandmother's (probably...) or hanging around the house again.

It was quite chilly this week, my hands are freezing cold as I type this...but I'll survive, after-all the cold allows me to wear fun sweaters, tights and coats. SO excited to bring out my favorite jacket again (a purple DKNY Pea Coat I got last year for my birthday)!

This week I did something quite different with my outfit posts. I recreated outfits by different bloggers, it was hard to choose what outfits to recreate. Partly because I love so many outfits and partly because I didn't have the pieces to do them. I even did the same poses because I'm crazy like that. What do you think, did I succeed?!

Today we have a Dress for Less requested by Jaymee! She wanted me to find this Fall 2011 Jason Wu dress in a bright color with the slit!  I tried to find inexpensive options but I threw in a gorgeous expensive one too. It was also hard to find dresses with slits that still had the correct look down at the bottom...but I assume a tailor would be able to add a slit, maybe. The colors got a bit more muted when I saved them, so go to the product pages (linked below) to see actual color.
Marchesa via The Outnet $2090
Robert Rodriguez via The Outnet $358
ML Monique Lhuillier via Nordstrom $198
Yesterday's outfit was inspired by Natalie of Natalie Off Duty, one of my favorite looks of hers! It is such a nice basic look that anyone can wear.  I decided to wear one of my favorite blazers, it is by Moschino Cheap & Chic and I got on eBay last year for a steal!  This is my first time wearing this crazy scarf by Yarnz, I got it as a gift from Net-a-Porter at their Affiliate Tea in July.  The print is quite odd, seeing as it has designers' faces all over it, but when its on you can't tell. I did have a bit of fun with it in my photos though...I could be a designer ghost for Halloween!

Accidentally got a car in the first shot, but the other shots like this were bad. Click to enlarge

I got these vintage boots off eBay a couple years ago and didn't wear them much at first. I liked them, but that was back when I was in college, a Closet Fashionista still dressing to conform...which is how this blog got its title! I decided I was going to come out of my closet and dress how I wanted ;) So now I wear them a lot more but I've never photographed them really well for the blog so here are some more shots.
I mentioned on Friday that this week I was going to try to recreate a different bloggers outfit every day of the week! I started off yesterday with an outfit inspired by Jen of her waise choice! I had actually been meaning to wear this sweater with this skirt for a while anyway so it worked out great!  I probably won't do dedicated outfit posts for each outfit but as usual I will post them on Friday (next to the outfit I recreated!)  Not all of them will be this dead on sadly, ha ha. Click all the photos to enlarge (as usual)

To say that I am obsessed with these Miu Miu Calf hair leopard sandals would be a major understatement. Ever since I laid my eyes on them I have wanted, no...NEEDED them in my closet. I will have no other leopard sandal, none can measure up to the awesomeness of these. They are gorgeous, the leopard print is perfect, the shape of the shoe and the design of it is just amazing. You can wear them alone, with tights or socks....and if you're the Man Repeller you can wear them with ANYTHING.

When these came out I could just not afford to spend the $795 on them (well...I could have, but that is an insane amount of money to pay for shoes so I couldn't justify it). Sadly I cannot get them out of my mind so for the past, I dunno, 6 months I have been scouring ebay to find them.  Whenever I see them my heart skips a beat and then I look at the size, most of the time they aren't my size and I get very depressed. BUT if they are my size my stomach drops as I look at the price, the last pair I found was $1200...UM NO!  So I am still on the hunt and on Friday I saw a pair for $500 (still WAY too much but that is how bady I want these) but sadly they were a half size too small...and they sold less than an hour after I saw them, so I need to be fast when I find my size!

So if anyone ever sees these in a size 38 - 39 PLEASE let me know! I will love you forever! My real size is a 38.5, but sometimes these run small so a 39 could possibly fit.  What would be REALLY amazing is if The Outnet got these in stock soon since they usually get items after Net-a-Porter, but these were so popular that I doubt there are any left... *sigh*

Since this post is mostly text here are photos of two of my favorite bloggers wearing these ;)

P.S. The winner of the Shabby Apple Giveaway was comment number 36, Nnenna!! Congrats :D You should be getting an email from me soon!
I was a bad girl yesterday, like I posted on Friday I was going to a Chanel Master Class for makeup. I got to the mall an hour early because I wanted to check out H&M to see if they had the amazing leggings that Lindsey of Saucy Glossie wore last week.  They were only $14.99 so I knew I had to have them if they were in my store and fit! And they did!! I also tried on some amazing black pants, a sweater dress and a printed dress. The black pants fit great except for at my waist where they were a bit tight, so they had to stay in the store.  The printed dress was really pretty, but $34.95...so it too was put back.  The sweater dress on the other hand was only $19.95, very comfortable and in a neutral color...SCORE!

Last week I ordered purple pants from ASOS that I featured in this Dress for Less because I had some money lying around in my paypal from advertising on my HP site.  They are a little wilder than I would normally buy but that's why I love them! Everyone at work is going to think I am insane when I wear them, another plus.
Then, of course, I headed to Lord and Taylor for my Chanel class. But, come to find, the class was moved to 9AM because they thought it would be too busy at noon. It worked out in my favor though because I got a one on one lesson!  The makeup artist sat with me for an hour helping me choose colors and putting on my makeup. It came out great, a bit more severe than I usually do but I like it.  I think it is safe to say that I am obsessed with Chanel makeup...why couldn't I be obsessed with cheaper makeup...UGH! XD

You can't go to one of these things without buying something (unless you want to be rude)...so I was VERY bad and got a new foundation (I was running out), blush (I don't have any) and a concealer pen (I have really bad under-eye circles. I resisted on the eye shadow because I have plenty of my Chanel Spices Palette left and I have mascara and lipstick already.  But they were having a sale so I got 10% off everything, and on top of that I got a bunch of free samples for being in the class!! CHA-CHING!  So here's the list of what I got:
  • Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup with SPF 15 in 20 Beige
  • Éclat Lumiere Highlighter Face Pen in 35 Medium
  • Joues Contraste Powder Blush in 68 Rose Ecrin
  • Sample Of Ultra Correction Lift Total Eye Lift
  • Sample Of Ultra Correction Lift Intensive Lifting Concentrate
  • Sample Of Ultra Correction Line Repair Anti-Wrinkle Day Fluid With SPF 15
  • Sample Of Body Excellence Nourishing And Rejuvenating Hand Cream
  • Sample Of Lotion Douceur Gentle Hydrating Toner Balance + Anti-Pollution
  • Sample Of Mousse Douceur Rinse-Off Foaming Mousse Cleanser Balance + Anti-Pollution
  • Sample Of Lait Confort Creamy Cleansing Milk Comfort + Anti-Pollution Face And Eyes
And here's my awesome makeup! WOOO!!! I'll never be able to do it like this...but oh wells XD  I don't really have any tips to share though because she just did basic stuff...but even though it was basic I didn't know most of it because I can't put on makeup, ha ha.
Well this was a lovely week, the weather was really nice except for the little bit of rain we had on Wednesday. I actually enjoy all of my outfits this week, but the first 3 are my favorites. I'm thinking that next week I'll try to do all outfits inspired by other bloggers! If I can find enough looks that I'll be able to pull off, that is, I'm having difficulty with that at the moment... ;)

This weekend is going to be fun, tomorrow I'm going to a Chanel Master Class at my local Lord & Taylor but I'm a little nervous because I don't usually do stuff like that and I STINK at putting on makeup. But the point of the class is to teach us so hopefully it helps! There are only 10 of us so there won't be that many strangers ;)  Then on Sunday it's my cousin's 11th birthday party...he is making me feel so old!!! Do you guys have any exciting plans for the weekend?

Also, don't forget to enter the Shabby Apple Giveaway to win a Coco Bean dress!

AND if anyone sees these Miu Miu leopard sandals in a size 38 - 39 PLEASE let me know, I've been searching for them for months and can't stop thinking about them so I don't even care how much they cost. I search on eBay every day and my heart stops when I see a pair, but they are never my size :( [well...cost is an issue but I'm desperate so I'd pay more than I normally would...]
