It is finally time for me to go Christmas crazy, I always make sure to wait until after Thanksgiving is over. But now I will be listening Christmas music every day and watching tons of Christmas movies!!! We're getting our Christmas tree today! Every year we go to Jones Family Farms the day after Thanksgiving to get our Christmas tree. It is one of my favorite traditions [the other is the 3 movies we watch in the days leading up to Christmas Eve (Holiday Inn, White Christmas and Scrooge with Albert Finney)]. Then later today we're going to my Aunt's to celebrate Thanksgiving with my Dad's side of the family. Yesterday we went to my Grandmother's for my Mom's side. We split it up so we don't have to rush to be 2 places in one day.

Here are my outfits from the week, I had Jury Duty on Tuesday...GROSS and Wednesday was my bosses' last day at work. I am SO depressed, he is one of the main reasons I love my job so much, but he had to move back to his home state :/ I have no idea how I am going to survive at work without him. If Thursday and Friday of last week are any indication of what it's going to be like I will die...it may be time to try and get my dream job in fashion...I'll give it a few months to see if I can handle it though ;)

BUT on the plus side some amazingness occurred on Monday! If you read my Twitter you already know, but if not here's the story: As you know from this post, I've been obsessed with the Miu Miu leopard sandals since I saw them.  I have eBay email me whenever an item is listed with "Miu Miu leopard" in the name.  Every day I would get a couple emails saying "New items matched ..." and every time I would look and be disappointed because my beloved shoes would not be there. But Monday morning was different, I checked the email and there they were!! THE SHOES!! I held my breath and looked at the size and they were MY SIZE! So I hurriedly called over a coworker and asked her "am I crazy for buying these" And being the fashion lover she is she said, "Of course not!"  So I pulled the trigger and bought them, they were expensive but totally worth it because I LOVE them! They arrived on Wednesday and fit perfectly! So of course I wore them for both my Thanksgiving celebrations ;)

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the USA!!! I hope you are all able to spend time with your family and loved ones! Today I am off to my Grandmother's and tomorrow night we're going to my Aunt's. So I get to have two delicious turkey dinners...mmmmm!

Today is the day that we all voice what we are thankful for every day of our lives.  I am thankful for my amazing family and friends (that includes blogging friends as well).  I wouldn't last a day without them.  I am also thankful that I am able to spend my time doing what I love; fashion blogging and working on my Potter sites.

I am blessed to not have to worry about having enough money to afford to live the way I do.  These are the types of things we don't appreciate nearly enough. There are people who go hungry, have no homes and no clothing. We all need to remember to help out those in need when we can.  I don't do that nearly as often as I should, but I am going to make a point of doing it more.

P.S. What is it with me on Holidays? I always post a cartoon image... :p

This is the last of the Spring 2012 collections that I'm posting. First up is Matthew Williamson. I love the colors and prints in this collection. A lot of these looks would totally work for Fall, but Fall is pretty much coming to a close now so they would need a heavy jacket.

Issa:The bottom three looks I chose are my favorites, the print is amazing and would look wonderful at the beach.  The top 3 are more upscale and would work for dinner parties or other fancy events.

Elie Saab: I loved the rich colors of this collection. It is so glamorous, I just wish I had an occasion to wear something like this.  The cuts are so amazing and would flatter almost anyone.  If you switched out the fabrics in the shorter dresses to jersey or another more casual material they would definitely be great for work environments as well.

Prada: This collection was so fun, I loved all the car themed shoes. But I decided to post some more wearable looks.  The length of the skirts is perfect, they aren't too short and they aren't too long.  And the bathing suit has an amazing cut, I would definitely rock that on the beach.

You get two posts today, how exciting! :D

A lot of the spring looks I posted previously were more Fall than Spring, but these looks are VERY Spring.  The Ralph Lauren, Erdem and Oscar de la Renta collections were full of soft colors, florals and flowy dresses and skirts.  The Erdem collection is my favorite, such perfection.

The holiday season is fast approaching and I know what is on many of your minds; how can I get the best present for [insert person here] for the best deal!  One of your options is going out on Black Friday and being trampled by other shoppers. Or you can shop online and find coupon codes! One of the ways to get more bang for your buck is with a coupon code. There are many websites available that gather coupon codes for various online stores so it is always a good idea to search for coupon codes before you buy anything from clothes, to books and even electronics! There are codes for pretty much anything, that is one of my main shopping tips for anyone.

Once you find a good coupon the next question is...'what do I get?!'  Well, if you are shopping for a friend or sister, you can't go wrong with beauty products or accessories! Here are some great choices from Nordstrom, all of them are under $50 with the exception of the YSL set which is $59. And don't forget to save with a Nordstrom coupon!
[I highly recommend the L'Occitane gift set, the scent smells like Lemon Pez, I love it so much (I got it from a hotel last November at the Harry Potter premiere)!]

[Hopefully I will do some more gift guides over the next few weeks. Anyone have any categories they would like to see me feature? Ex. coats, hats, for girls, for geeky guys, etc.]
Here's my outfit from last Tuesday. This outfit is full of some of my favorite pieces!  I wish I could wear these Alexander Wang's every day...but then all my other shoes would be neglected so I'm limiting myself to once a week ;)  I also love color-blocking and this shirt from Express is perfect, it has great colors and different fabrics mixed in which I adore.  This blazer is also perfection, it fits great and is so comfortable!  And of course I LOVE these Free People skinny jeans I got from Gilt Groupe, they are the perfect color and are nice and stretchy.

Blazer: Necessary Objects $30, Top: Express $35, Jeans: Free People via Gilt Groupe gift card, Booties: Alexander Wang via The Outnet birthday gift, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Fingers: Chanel Paradoxal, Toes: Chanel Vamp

Only 2 more Spring 2012 posts left after this one!  The Chanel collection this season was so pretty and full of flowing pieces mixed with harder textures.  I am also totally in love with the hair and makeup, the models look beautiful!  The underwater set was also pretty amazing. I did find the pearls on some of the model's faces a bit weird though, the ones in their hair look nice though.

This week was going pretty well until yesterday [minus the rain]. Let's just say that it was the worst work day...ever. First of all, my boss was out because his kids were sick, so that meant I was in charge. Then all hell broke loose.  I had a ton of work to begin with but then, two of the movie theatre sites we manage decided to have issues with ticket purchases for the Twilight midnight shows. That just makes me hate Twilight even more than I already do (which is a LOT). So that meant I had to stop doing all the stuff I was originally supposed to do to try and fix that. So today is going to be a rush to finish what I should have done yesterday...oh the joys of being a web programmer :p

Anyway, enough about that unpleasantness...here are my outfits for the week! I didn't take today's outfit because I usually do those on Thursday night and I was dead after not getting home until 7...I quite enjoy all of these! And look, I went 2 days without wearing purple (not counting my purse...haha...)  This weekend I plan on relaxing and watching movies. I also need to clean up the leaves in our yard and my roommate and I are hopefully going to Target tomorrow to get a fake Christmas tree for our house [one is on sale for $50, hopefully there are some left]!

P.S. My lovely blogging friend Nora attended a Harry Potter event in Sydney, Australia on behalf of my site Magical-Menagerie, check out her report here, more photos are coming! (she will probably do a blog post on it soon, too!)

Monday: Dress: H&M $20, Sweater: Tahari (Marshalls) $20, Boots: Vintage (eBay) $11, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Tuesday: Blazer: Necessary Objects $30, Top: Express $35, Jeans: Free People via  Gilt Groupe gift card, Booties:  Alexander Wang via The Outnet birthday gift, Watch: Michael Kors , Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Wednesday: Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay) $27, Sweater:  Madewell via ShopBop gift card, Boots: Vintage (eBay) $12, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Thursday: Sweater: American Eagle gift, Pants: ?, Scarf: Target $6, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Here is what I wore yesterday, it was a rainy, dark, nasty day so I decided to wear something really bright and happy!  I threw on my bright red Madewell sweater over my purple Marc by Marc Jacobs dress and finished it off with brown boots and a leopard scarf!  For some reason the color of this sweater never photographs properly, it is really red, not orange. I took photos of my Monday and Tuesday outfits too, but I'll save those for a, if you'll pardon the pun, rainy day [aka when I'm too lazy to shoot another outfit ;) ].  I'm getting sick of all the rain this week, quite annoying! On the plus side...one week until Thanksgiving!! WEEE!

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay) $27, Sweater: Madewell via ShopBop gift card, Boots: Vintage (eBay) $12, Scarf c/o Fashion Flirts, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Today's collections all contain looks with maroon as the main color! First up is Edun.  The prints in this collection were amazing, and the mixing of prints while keeping the looks monochromatic was a great styling choice.  It makes the looks super wearable because even though the prints are out there the color palette keeps things simple.  I think this may be one of my favorite collections from Spring 2012.

Next we have the J Crew collection. J Crew has been getting better and better every season and I'm loving it!  These four outfits are, in my opinion, perfection! I love how bright and pretty the first is, the second is a great mixture of prints and colors, the third has an amazing print yet is very simple! And the last look is overall perfection, shorts, a sweater, monochromatic! LOVE!

Finally we have the lovely Lanvin! This collection was so cool, I loved the mix of pretty and edgy.  One thing I don't really like is the weird slick-back hair of the models, but it does make the looks standout. Even though the third look is totally sheer on bottom I could see myself wearing it, which is a rather odd thing for me to say because I'm very modest with my clothes most of the time.
