Quick post today, my cousins are visiting from Ohio so I'm spending the day with them! YAY!

Yesterday I got my hair cut.........8 inches....GONE!! Its a little shorter than I wanted it to be but I still like it. I needed a big change and now I won't need another haircut for a long time ha ha. (my last haircut was in March I think...) My after picture came out like garbage because I didn't bring my tripod home and took the picture fast, ha ha. So just focus on the hair.

This was a pretty good week, nice weather, work wasn't TOO crazy and I had nice relaxing evenings. Tomorrow I'm headed home (to my parents house, which is only 15 minutes away) until after Christmas.  My cousins from Ohio are visiting from Sunday-Monday and then Tuesday-Friday are family movie nights (when we watch It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn, White Christmas and finally Scrooge with Albert Finney). It's my favorite tradition so I HAD to go home for it.  Do you have any traditions as it gets closer to the holidays?

I think I'm going to make myself get a haircut tomorrow, I just have NO idea what to do...I've been thinking for months of what to do but I can't decide. I want to keep it long and easy to manage though. But just watch, I won't do it, ha ha. If I do you guys will be seeing a before and after. [I am thinking about getting it cut like Kendi's but longer...]

Before we get to Tuesday's outfit an update on the Pants Situation. They were supposed to arrive yesterday so I stopped home after work. The UPS guy didn't come until 8:30...UGH! But the pants fit perfectly except the length, but I knew they would be too long because the model was 5'9" in the size 2 and I'm 5'2"...so it was kind of a given. [I watched Ernest Saves Christmas with my parents while we waited for UPS, ha ha, LOVE that movie]

On Tuesday I wore a simple outfit, dress + blazer + crazy shoes.  Definitely a go to outfit for me, except sometimes I switch out the blazer for a sweater.  Do you have a go to outfit that you gravitate toward on mornings where you are too tired to think?

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay) $27, Blazer: Necessary Objects via RueLaLa $25, Heels: Miu Miu via eBay, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs

One of the things we all worry about during the holiday season is what to wear for all our various outings.  I only have two parties to go to (Christmas Eve at my parents house and Christmas at my Grandmas...no New Years party for me) and I will wear the same thing twice, don't judge!  Most girls wear dresses, but why not switch it up with some fun dress pants!  Pants can be just as dressy as a dress, you just have to find the right pair, for example VELVET! This outfit is more expensive than my Dress for Less posts (it is a Dream Outfit, afterall) BUT everything is on sale, so that's a plus. I went a little crazy with all the textures and colors, but it's the holiday's, you can be crazy!

For this dream outfit I chose a pair of pants that I actually bought for myself on Sunday with a gift card I won from Lydia!  My outfit won't be this awesome though, sadly (I am planning to wear mine with my leopard Miu Mius and no idea what I'll wear on the top). Unless, of course, the pants don't fit and I'll have to exchange them (they should arrive at my house today)

Pants: Elie Tahari via Shopbop $124 [50%] or $99.20 [if you order by Thursday & use the coupon code EXTRA20]
Top: Theyskens' Theory via Net-a-Porter $150 [60% off]
Pumps: Miu Miu via Net-a-Porter $378 [50% off]
Necklace: By Malene Birger via Shopbop $73.50 [30% off]

Annoyingly, just two days after I bought these ShopBop decided to have a coupon code for an extra 20% off sale items, meaning I could have gotten these for $99 as opposed to $124 (I had my $100 gift card so I really paid $24, but that doesn't matter).  So I emailed them to ask for a price adjustment. RIGHT as I was in the middle of this blog post they emailed back and said they would make a one time exception...THIS is why I love Shopbop so much! They have such amazing Customer Service!

P.S. Here are some more pant ideas for Christmas/Holiday Parties (of course these are expensive options, so you will probably want to find cheaper versions, but hey, if you can afford them go for it!)
J.Crew $250
Alice & Olivia $330
Lanvin $1555
Stella McCartney $1,495

P.P.S. A ton of items in Net-a-Porter's End of Season Sale have been reduced further! Make sure to check it out!!

Here is my outfit from yesterday, it was the first really cold day we've had. When I was driving to work it was 27°F, yowza, and its going to get colder!  Decided to take today's photos in my coat and gloves since it was my first time wearing it this fall/winter. I got it for Christmas last year but I actually bought it myself.  I bought it for $40 at Marshalls and then my mom offered to pay for it and put it under the tree, ha ha.  I love the print of it, its not the normal leopard print that you see everywhere so that makes it unique. It is SO soft too, I could sleep in it!

Coat: unknown (Marshalls) gift, Sweater: American Eagle gift, Jeans: Free People (TJ Maxx) $20, Booties: no.704b. (DSW) $20,  Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Here is a photo of my car covered in frost, 10 points if you can guess who is on the sticker, it's pretty easy ;)

Here are 2 more of my favorite Pre-Fall 2012 collections! First up is Chanel which, as always, was very theatrical and theme centric.  This show was centered around India and is just gorgeous! Most of the looks are a bit much for every day wear but if you take the separate pieces they would fit in amazingly well with other pieces. As you can probably guess, the maroon look below is my favorite, but the look with grey pants is also AMAZING!

As a contrast to Chanel, Jason Wu's collection was totally wearable but still high fashion! I would be happy to wear any of these looks! And don't even get me started on the shoes, gorgeous!! One of my favoite things about Jason Wu is that he always has a muted color palette but then throws in one or two bright colors to add some fun!

Last week Eco Natural Soap sent me a few of their all natural organic products to try out and review. They are a family owned business and the idea came to them after trying out some home made wool balls for the dryer. They then moved on to removing chemicals from products in their home like in laundry detergent, then they eventually started making soaps and lip/body balms (read the full story here). I tried out “Lip Relief” All Natural Lip Balm Citrus Sunrise, AM Moisturizer, Exotic Butters Luxury Skin Balm (Citrus Sunrise), and Bath & Body Soap (Citrus Sunrise). So for the week I switched out my usual Chapstick, soap and lotion for those products. So here are some quick thoughts about the products:

Organic Lip Balm: I am addicted to chapstick, and I mean really addicted* (I have 2 in my purse, 2 at work, and 1 next to me at all times).   I was very eager to try out a flavored lip balm again so I chose Citris Sunrise and the smell does not disappoint! It is very fragrant and goes on nice and smooth and keeps my lips hydrated without the need to reapply often (though I must admit I am so used to reapplying that I still did it anyway).  This is definitely my favorite of the 4 products, but I am going to have to switch using this with my chapstick to avoid the lip smackers debacle*.

Bath & Body Bar: I am not usually one to use bars of soap but the wonderful smell of this soap was enough to suck me in. The soap lathered up great but my skin did feel a little weird after using it, not as smooth as usual.  But once I was dry and out of the shower I didn't notice, so maybe it is just me...

Exotic Butters Luxury Skin Balm: I am very prone to dry skin, especially on my elbows and knees so I was looking forward to seeing how this worked.  The product was a little hard to get out at first (all skin balms are so that's normal) but once I had used it more it came out very easily.  You only need to use a small amount; if you use too much, like I did the first time (even though Alicia of Eco Natural Soaps warned me), your skin will be a little greasy.  Overall this product worked great and i will definitely keep using it to soothe my stupid dry skin!

A.M. Moisturizer: This product is for use on your lovely face, as the label says it is "designed for wear under make-up."  It definitely does the job well and doesn't have a scent which is good when you're using it on your face. You don't want your whole face smelling, now do you? When I didn't use makeup it just left my skin feeling fresh for my lovely day at work, if I added makeup it was a great way to prepare my face.

What You Get: 1 Soap, 1 Body Balm and 1 Lip Balm

To Win: The giveaway is open to my readers in the United States and will close on December 18th. The winner will be announced on Twitter late on the 18th or on the 19th and will be chosen by random.or.

Mandatory: You must be a follower of my blog with google or bloglovin. You must also visit the Eco Natural Soap website and choose THREE products you would like to win [1 Soap, 1 Body Balm and 1 Lip Balm].

Bonus Entries: Leave one comment for EACH additional entry. Each comment counts as an entry so if you put all your extra entries in one comment that only counts as 1 entry...
* I used to use Lip Smackers but I had to stop because after a while I stopped smelling it when I put it on because I was so used to it. People would comment on the watermelon smell of my lips and I would be like "Huh?...I can't smell anything" So I had to start using plain Chapstick.
This week was rather icky weather-wise but ignoring that it was okay.  I was far too lazy to put on makeup after Monday so I look like death, ha ha. Same stuff as usual...work, blog stuff, posting tons of Harry Potter and Matt Lewis news [they're making a Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Hollywood now ;) ] and watching Christmas movies. I also rented Crazy, Stupid, Love and watched it with my roommate, it was quite enjoyable. Gotta love Ryan Gosling (even if I hate The Notebook.) This weekend I plan on doing nothing, maybe a quick run to Marshalls but probably not, I need to be a good girl and not spend money.

I am finished with all my Christmas shopping, just waiting for one more gift to arrive so I can wrap it! I have fun vintage-y looking reindeer wrapping paper! I also got a little something for myself too. A Necessary Objects blazer, like the one I wore on Monday except black, for $25 on RueLaLa!

I was planning on posting something completely different today but decided to check out style.com and fell in LOVE with these Pre-Fall 2012 collections.   I always seem to like Pre-Fall collections best, especially Burberry Prorsum.  So here is a selection of my favorite looks from a couple collections, I tried to narrow Burberry down but it was just so hard!

First we have Burberry Prorsum. There isn't much to say about this colelction because in my opinion it is PERFECTION! Christopher Bailey is a genius and he never disappoints.  This color palette is amazing and as usual the mix of textures is done so well. The bow belts are adorable and I can definitely see a ton of bloggers DIYing these (I would if I was any good at DIYs...) And don't even get me started on the amazing bags!

Next up we have Pringle of Scotland which I always look forward to. My favorites were, of course, the ones with burgundy since I have a slight obsession with it. It is second to purple for me, though I don't own as many burgundy pieces as I would like.  These knit pieces are wonderful and the styling is very laid back and cool.

I have been saving this post for a rainy day, and I guess that day is today (and ironically it's raining!). I was so dead yesterday that I didn't have time for a post. So I guess it's a good thing when I take extra outfit photos even though I know I won't post them right away.  This outfit is from a few weeks ago but I actually wore a pretty similar outfit yesterday, just a different belt, sweater and shoes. I also think I need a haircut...any ideas? (I still want it at or below my shoulders...)

I decided to pair my H&M sweater dress with a black and white leopard sweater.  This outfit was so incredibly comfortable!  I am a comfort girl more than anything, if I'm not comfortable in something, I won't wear it. I know what some of you are thinking, "but what about your psycho shoes!?" Oddly enough I'm quite comfortable in all my shoes, EXCEPT if I am walking ALL day...then that is a problem. Do you bleed for fashion?

Dress: H&M $20, Sweater: Tahari (Marshalls) $20, Boots: Vintage (eBay) $11, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs via Shopbop gift card
