WELCOME TO JUNE!!! :D

This might be my last This Week in Fashion for a while because today is my last day of work and I won't necessarily be getting dressed every day. BUT you can expect to see a lot more outfit posts around these parts because I will have more time for photos and experimenting with my clothes!  I won't get into the details but the short version is:  I decided to pursue my dream job in fashion so I left my job in order to devote more time to it. This is a very big step and an extremely hard decision to make.  If you want to read more, check out this note I posted on Facebook.

Do you gals have any exciting plans for the weekend? I might go to my brother's baseball game but other than that I don't really have anything going on, surprise, surprise...

Also, my Net-a-Porter sale order was delivered yesterday so I stopped at my parent's to pick it up! Sadly the Valentino heels were too small but the Burberry dress fit like a GLOVE! I am keeping the dress because it was MADE for me (okay, not really...but i love love love it!!!), so I need to find places to wear it! I will probably wear it to my cousin's wedding in July (since I can't wear the shoes, why not the dress?! :) )

The international model, editor and entrepreneur talks about Chic Outlet Shopping® Europe’s leading collection of luxury outlet shopping destinations, and brings you her Chic Guide to Europe.

Having worked in fashion for the past six years, the 26-year-old has become known around the world for her impeccable style and natural beauty. Now the face of several fashion labels, and editor of her own fashion and lifestyle website, she knows exactlywhat luxury shopping should feel like.

WHAT DOES EUROPE MEAN TO YOU?
Fashion has always been important to me – growing up in New York, I made regular trips to Europe and quickly realized how stylish and on-trend Europeans are. So when I started studying in Paris, I was immersed immediately. I haven’t been able to resist since then – I work regularly in Paris, Milan, and London which provides my fix of fashion and culture. Plus shopping, of course; after all, a girl should treat herself occasionally!

WHAT MAKES A MEMORABLE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE?
I am so busy that shopping is something I have to plan. I always look for great service, but I don’t just mean being fast and efficient, like I get in Manhattan. When I do treat myself to some retail therapy, I like the kind of hospitality that makes me feel special, the kind I find at the Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages. No rush, no hassle, and very VIP treatment – including personal shopping on hand, which means I get all the time I need to research the labels I love.

WHY WOULD YOU GO THE EXTRA MILE?
When I’ve just stepped off a long haul flight, who needs all the stress of the city then? That’s why I always head to the nearest Village. Just a short drive and I get that perfect combination – somewhere close enough to fit in with my packed schedule, but with the peace of the countryside, away from the bustle of the city.

I know, I know, I just posted some of my favorite pieces from net-a-porter, BUT their End of Season sale started yesterday morning and you guys know I've been waiting for it for MONTHS!  I got the email when I woke up yesterday and was so excited about making my purchase that I forgot to eat breakfast!  You guys are going to think I'm insane but I bought these two pieces (click the image go to to the product pages.)

For those of you that don't know how it works, the sale starts with reductions up to 50%, then after a few weeks they reduce the prices even more and then after a few more they reduce one more time! So you can either wait and hope what you want doesn't sell out, or buy it and not wear it until you know whether or not the price is reduced. It does take a bit of self control to not wear the item right when you get it, but it can save you a lot of money in the end.

My strategy, (and what I suggest you guys do if you can afford to) was to buy 2 things I REALLY wanted now and then wait for further reductions to buy more stuff I want. Then, if the things I already bought are reduced and still available in my size to buy them again and return the originals.
Good thing I didn't wait to buy the Burberry London dress because I bought the.absolute.last.one!!!! It was a bit out of my budget, but I love it so much and I've wanted it for months. So I half hope it fits and I half don't because then I'll have to keep it!  I want the shoes to wear to my cousin's wedding in July, but I'm hoping they're more dark pink than red. If they are red red I'm going to return them because I already have red pumps.

And here are some other pieces I'm keeping an eye out for, as well as the pieces in this post! I put them in order from least expensive to most expensive for your convenience. (I only got through 20 pages of the clothes out of 82, so I may post some more pics on Facebook tomorrow rather than torturing you guys with another post...unless you want another full post!)  There are pieces in every price range so don't be afraid to check out the sale if you don't have a lot to spend! There are tons of pieces in the $18 to $100 range.
Have you bought anything in the sale?! Or will you?
This weekend was AWESOME! The weather was perfect and I got to spend time with my family and best friends...what is better than that?! I was a very bad blogger and didn't take any outfit pictures... *gasp* So last night before my best friends and I watched Crazy, Stupid, Love (LOVE that movie so much) I had one of them take a picture of my boring outfit (I forgot to put my jewelry back on...and I look weirdly proportioned because of the angle, but oh wells)

Tank: American Eagle $5, Shorts: Zara, Wedges: Madden Girl (Target) $20, Necklaces: from friend & Vanessa Mooney, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Rings: Mom's, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

The other great thing about Memorial Day is, of course, all the amazing sales going on!!! Make sure to check these out, there are tons more but these are my favorites (I am trying to resist):

P.S. I know Memorial Day is not really about all of these things, so let's take some time to remember our fallen soldiers who gave their lives for us.
It's a three day weekend!! WOOHOO! Let's hope the weather gets better and stays sunny!  This was a jeans week for me, but none of them are regular jeans! I love how much variety there is these days in jeans...printed, floral, textured, brights skinny, flare, etc.  Nothing really exciting happened this week, except for what you'll read below.  There may or may not be a Friday outfit because I wasn't feeling well last night (aka right now, because I'm writing this on Thursday night) and may not feel up to going to work...at least we are a little slow right now so they'll be okay without me. But let's hope I feel better!

Here's an awkward story for your enjoyment: Wednesday when I got to work a guy made it to the door before me so he held it open.  Obviously I was polite and said thank you while smiling.  Then later in the day when I was on my way to the potty (yes...I say potty) I saw him again so I smiled and waved (again, to be polite.  Then as I was getting into my car on Thursday I saw a business card stuck to the window, I picked it up and threw it in my car thinking nothing of it.  I stopped at my parent's for a couple hours and when I got back in my car to head home and I noticed there was writing on the back of the card.  It said:
"Hi, I'm not sure if you have a man, but if you do he's a lucky man! I like your style! If not, I would love the chance to buy you coffee, lunch of dinner. Cell # xxx-xxx-xxxx
Umm...awkward!!! I pretty much died laughing the whole way home. Yes, I know I'm mean for laughing at his expense but I can't help it. Now, this story would be completely different if he was tall and handsome, sadly he was short and awkward...depressing!   It's not like I get asked out every day either, this is  the first time, albeit weird, that I've been officially asked out by a boy.  Why is it always the weird ones?!! Any cute, normal guys out there interested in a date? ;)
