Last night I drove to my Aunt's house to start my week long vacation! We left for Wilmington, North Carolina late last night (and are probably still driving right now) to see our cousins who moved there last summer. Then Saturday we are heading to Myrtle Beach to meet up with the rest of my family! We will be spending the week in a timeshare right on the beach! I love spending time with my extended family, we always have so much fun! It's going to be my family (minus one brother) and my dad's brothers and sister and their families. There will be 16 people at most when we're all together (not everyone will be together the whole time.) Should be a jolly good time!
Keep an eye on my instagram (Closet_Fashion) and Twitter (Closet_Fashion) for up to the minute updates.
But don't worry I've scheduled some summer vacation and beach related posts for you guys to enjoy while I'm gone and I'll probably check up on blogs at night before bed! See you on the flip side (hopefully with outfit photos if I can coerce my family into taking some!)

In other news, I made a new purchase with my net-a-porter credit (from when I returned the Valentino heels) on Tuesday! I still have a bit of credit left over too, gotta love that. It came yesterday before I left and it all fit so I don't have to return again (I had to return this order because of sizing...sad)
The sale ends on Sunday so make sure to check out the final reductions!
As you can see I pulled the trigger on the T by Alexander Wang ruched skirt. It has been on my wishlist for a long time and after I tried one on last weekend I was even more in love. It will go great with the jacket too, WAHOOO!!

As I posted in the beginning of the week I got an AMAZING deal when I went to Nordstrom Rack with Courtney, Lydia and Christine! I am delighted to share with you my newest item: a Theyskens' Theory leather jacket!!! I did some research and I believe it is the Juno which retailed for $1150, I paid $172....that's 85% off! My strategy is to comb the clearance racks and go through my favorite sections, no extraneous shopping.
For example, this time I tried on a ton of T by Alexander Wang and some Free People pieces that weren't on clearance and then when I was looking at clearance they had some leather jackets (which I have had on my wishlist for a while). This one stood out to me and I looked at the label and literally squealed because of the designer and the price. It was the only one there and in my size! (Well, I actually should have been a small, but since I'll be layering it over sweaters it should be perfect) How lucky is that?!
I keep finding myself in my closet room trying it on, even though we are in the middle of Summer. I think this is love :)
And here are some professional shots of the jacket from The Outnet:

When I got this snakeskin tank from sheinside last week I knew it was the perfect piece to try some print mixing! I decided to keep everything neutral with a tan skirt as the base of the outfit. Then I added a map printed purse and my leopard sandals! I think it came out pretty good, but I'm not sure if the heels will work for real life wear. This also works with flats and sandals so I'll definitely wear this again (I wore it with leopard flats but for the post I threw on the heels, I know...shame on me)!
Tank c/o sheinside, Skirt: Old Navy hand-me-down, Bag: Fossil hand-me-down, Shoes: Miu Miu (eBay), Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Marshalls) $20

We all know how obsessed I am with Marc Jacobs, so when Shopbop released a lookbook full of Marc by Marc Jacobs Pre-Fall 2012 pieces I fell in love. I would seriously wear every single look! And I love the location and props! Visit Shopbop to see the full lookbook and shop Marc by Marc Jacobs here!
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of going on an outing with 5 other bloggers! I met up with Lydia, Courtney, Christine, Amber and Bethany in West Hartford for some food, shopping and photos! It was our last meetup with Courtney because she is moving back to Canada next week, so sad!
We started off the day at La Petite France, a French bakery on Farmington Avenue, where we all had crepes! I got an almond and chocolate crepe because I'm a picky eater and all the regular ones disgusted me ;) After that we walked around a bit and went to Charming Charlie and Second Time Around. I was a good girl and didn't buy anything...
After that it was time for photos and a quick stop at Pinkberry for Lydia and myself while Courtney and Christine got Starbucks. On our way home (the four of us carpooled) we stopped at Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx and finally Eli's on Whitney for a late dinner. It was quite a long day but so much fun! (Check back later this week to see the AMAZING deal I got at Nordstrom)
Time for photos! All of these are by Lydia. For more photos check out the other girls blogs! I'll update this post with links to their posts when they are available: Courtney, Lydia, Amber, Christine, Bethany.
Amber and I both wore some Jason Wu for Target, YAY!
Dress: Jason Wu for Target $30, Wedges: Madden Girl (TJ Maxx) $20, Necklace c/o Shop NBC, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Rings: Mom's, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop) gift card, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs (net-a-porter) gift card

The crazy heat of Summer has finally arrived! Wednesday was my little brother's 16th birthday (YOWZA, I'm getting old!) I went home for some cake and to give him a gag gift: a Dragon Tales DVD because he used to be obsessed with it.
I wanted to wear as little clothing as possible so I opted for my Michael Kors skirt and a same color tank top to create a pseudo dress. To add some interest to the look I added gold touches with the belt, shoes, bracelet, ring and chain of my lovely Chanel, named Sirius (after Sirius Black in Harry Potter.)
P.S. Am I the only one stuck in the old days of music? I just can't seem to get into the new artists, give me Sting, The Beatles, James Taylor, Michael Jackson, Eagles, etc. any day! You can also throw in some Michael Buble for good measure, ha ha. (weird, I only listed boy groups...rest assured I like girl Rock and Roll too: Heart, Pat Benatar...) The title of this post is a Sting song, I posted it below so you can listen.
Skirt: Michael Kors (Marshalls) $10, Tank: Forever 21 $5, Flats: Seychelles (DSW) $35, Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls) $7, Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Marshalls) $20, Cuff c/o The Missing Piece, Watch: Michael Kors, Ring: Forever 21 $5, Bag: Chanel
And a bit of nature for you all to "awww" at. This deer showed up at my Grandma's house on Sunday...isn't she cute!

I have a lovely surprise for everyone today, my first video!!! While I was taking photos of my outfit on Sunday I decided to shoot some video as well and I think it came out pretty good! I used to make movies all the time when I was younger and I originally wanted to go into filmography, then I decided on graphic design. Hopefully I'll be able to do more videos in the future. What do you think?!
I wore my new-to-me thrifted dress and decided to go for a bohemian look. Even though this dress is really old I feel like it totally works with the current bohemian/tribal/wild print trend. I used the song Norwegian Wood by The Beatles because I think the vibe of the song goes with my outfit (at least the background music).
Dress: Thrifted $6, Denim Jacket: Mudd $8, Sandals c/o Sseko, Bracelet: 31 Bits, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop) gift card, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: LAUREN Ralph Lauren gift
UPDATE: Something got messed up with the video.
And here are some stills of the outfit:
