A quick two-photo post today to share what I wore to celebrate my Grandma's birthday this past weekend. The family went to one of our favorite restaurants for lunch then back to her house for cake! not sure this was the best color combo, but none of the shoes I wanted to wear were working, so I settled for these.

P.S. Today is my sister's birthday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALAINA! :) (even though she doesn't read this)

Cashmere Sweater: Paolo Rodesco (Roundabout Resale), Pants: Kenar c/o Marshalls, Heels: Manolo Blahnik (Roundabout Resale), Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted), Watch c/o Movado & Lucky

Another concert outfit today! I was on a roll last week. This is what I wore to go see Steely Dan with my parents, sister and some other relatives. We're SUPER cool, ha ha. (The title of the post is one of their songs.)  How convenient is it that the yarn details on this sweater match this top perfectly?! I was at a loss for what to wear on top of this tank until I remembered that. It might be a bit of a weird color combo, but I went with it!

Sweater: Marc Jacobs (Roundabout Resale), Top: Mexx (Coco's $10 sale), Jeans: Free People, Sandals: Sam Edelman c/o ThredUp, Watch c/o Movado

This outfit is the definition of high-low dressing. The top half of my outfit was thrifted - I paid under $5 for both pieces together. The jeans are from Marshalls so they were probably half off retail. Then you get to my feet and the crazy expensive Chanel flats.  But you would never know from looking at this outfit that there is such a price discrepancy.  I love when outfits happen to work out like this, it shows that you don't need a ton of money to dress well, you just have to work with what you've got! Even if I didn't have my flats, this would still be a great outfit! In my totally unbiased opinion...

Silk Top: thrifted, Kimono: thrifted, Jeans: Mother c/o Marshalls, Flats: Chanel (eBay), Necklace: Marrin Costello (availble soon!), Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Gilt)

Here's what I wore to go see The Eagles at Madison Square Garden 2 weekends ago!  They are one of my favorite bands so I was super excited to see them! I've only ever been to 5 concerts in my life, 4 have been this year, ha ha.  And, by reading the list I'm not sure you could correctly guess my age.  What would you guess someone's age is if they have seen Billy Joel, The Eagles, Steely Dan, The Beach Boys and John Mayer in concert? Definitely not 25, right?

This outfit also sees the return of my beloved Free People skinny jeans. For over a year you heard my whine about trying to find a replacement for them. I have tried many pairs that I have loved, but none have ever been "the same." Luckily I found the exact model on eBay. They're lightly used, but that's better than my overly used pair.

Top: Philosophy (Marshalls), Jeans: Free People (eBay), Sandals: Isola c/o Marshalls,  Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Saks Friends & Family Sale), Watch c/o Movado

This past weekend we were given a taste of Fall with cooler temperatures so I decided to wear one of my favorite lighter sweaters. I got so many great accessories during fashion week and find myself wearing them every day, so don't be surprised if you see them quite a bit.  I wore this outfit to check out the Altuzarra for Target collection. I was bad and bought 6 things (2 in store, 4 online.) When the online order arrives I'll choose a couple things to keep, if what I bought online doesn't fit it will be that much easier to decide, haha.  I wasn't expecting the cooler weather to last, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that Fall is finally here to stay!

Sweater: Madewell, Jeans: Free People, Flats: Liz Claiborne (DSW), Sunglasses: Cole Haan c/o Marshalls, Watch c/o Movado & Lucky, Bracelets c/o Lucky Magazine,  Necklace c/o Marrin Costello, Ring c/o Kendra Scott

Rather than doing a ton of posts featuring collections from New York Fashion Week like I usually do, I decided to be SUPER picky and just share some favorites from the whole week. Will hopefully do the same for the other cities. I went through as many collections as possible but there are far too many to go through them all. Ha ha.

Here's my last fashion week outfit! I only went to 3 events because I didn't want to have to keep going back and forth to the city, I'm so lazy! This outfit is from the Lucky Magazine x Movado Watch party! We were able to pick out a new Movado Bold watch and style it with bracelets from Lucky's "bracelet bar"! I chose this beautiful Rose Gold Bangle Bracelet Watch and styled it with some pink/gold/burgundy bracelets.  It will definitely be appearing in many outfit posts to come!  We were also able to get manicures and accent nails to go with our watches! I got mine painted in a nice navy blue with silver accents with crystals! So cute!

By the time we got around to taking photos it was getting a bit dark and my makeup and hair had severely lessened in quality. Luckily I took some outfit photos before leaving in the afternoon, so you get the benefit of both! Thanks to Jackie for the pictures in the street!

Dress: Jason Wu (Roundabout Resale), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Shoes: Miu Miu (eBay), Necklace: Acanthus Jewelry (giveaway), Double Finger Ring c/o Kendra Scott

And a couple party snaps! It was dark inside so most of my shots didn't come out well.

Movado also sent over this video featuring Kerry Washington, who has been working with the brand for NINE years. The 'Modern Ahead of its Time' campaign was shot by renowned fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski and styled by celebrity stylist Erin Walsh. The video features the new women’s Movado Sapphire collection.

"Taking its inspiration from the original Sapphire created in the late 1970’s to early 1980’s, Movado went back to its historically rich archives and restyled one of the first watches ever made that incorporates a sleek edge-to-edge crystal and bezel-free case. For 2014, the design has been reimagined with a jewelry-look and feel that epitomizes femininity and sensuality in a manner that is consistent with Movado’s modern design aesthetic."

Emma Stone has been stepping out in a lot (well, 3) of black and white outfits recently! Below are three gorgeous looks I would love to recreate.  How amazing are the Proenza Schouler pants in the first look?! They aren't online yet so sadly I don't know how much they are (not that I could afford them anyhow.)

Wearing Proenza Schouler crop top, Proenza Schouler pants and Christian Louboutin pumps.
