This is what I wore to my Aunt's house this past weekend for my cousin's birthday party. It was an unseasonably warm day so I could have done without the vest, but I wanted to add some more dimension to the outfit. The dress is actually a little big on me and used to be longer, but I had my mom shorten it for me since the previous length hit the middle of my calves. Not a good look for a short girl.

Those of you that read my blog regularly will know I have a slight obsession with designer jeans. I have almost 20 pairs and always want more, not a lot considering some people have hundreds, but still a large number. Right now, True Religion is having a 25% off sale on many of their womens jeans. They have everything from ripped jeans, bootcut jeans and skinny jeans for women. I'm most partial to skinny jeans but I've created a few looks using different pairs available on their site.
Look #1: First up is a fun outfit with the 'Casey Vintage Coated Dark No Flap Womens Jean' that features an ombre effect. Ombre tops, skirts and dresses have been a trend for the past few seasons so why not take it to the next level and apply it to your jeans. These are definitely a statement piece, so I've styled them to be the centerpiece of the outfit.
Look #2: Coated jeans are another style that I see sticking around for quite a while. They come in all different colors and styles, but I prefer skinny jeans, surprise, surprise. This style, the 'Halle Super Skinny Womens Jean' has a great worn-in feeling and is in the maroon hue that everyone has been into lately (especially me, but I've loved burgundy for years.) I paired this with a printed tank top and a leather jacket, but you could also top it off with a cute cardigan instead if double leather frightens you. When wearing jeans like this I think it's important to embrace the uniqueness and just go for it! Pretend they're just plain denim jeans and go crazy!
Look #3: I promised I wouldn't just feature skinny jeans, so here we have a nice flare, my second favorite style! The 'Charlie Flare Womens Jean' is a really fun 70s style jean in a super light wash. With this style of jean it's really fun to go all out with 70s style, bold graphics or aztec designs to give off that nature-loving vibe. For this look I paired it with a pretty epic knitted coat. Since this is a long coat and the pants are wide legged, you want to be careful about proportions so I would style it with super tall heels to get the length back into your legs. A pointed toe will also help in this instance, although you will only be able to see a peek of it through the jeans. You'll also notice I broke a "rule" and paired navy with brown - but I say anything goes!
I've been trying to experiment more with layering my clothes. So to get more wear out of this peplum top I decided to wear a matching long sleeve top underneath. I also wanted to wear these Cole Haan sandals at least once before it gets too cold for wearing sandals without socks or tights.

I've been going to a lot of weddings this year. I went to my third last Saturday, another cousin got married! It was a beautiful Fall day and I decided to wear the brown Edun dress I bought at The Outnet a couple years ago. I've worn it twice before, during LuckyFabb 2012 and at the Grand Opening of the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London. It definitely deserves to be worn more than that, I don't know why I always pass it by on dressier occasions! Too many options, I suppose.

It's getting chilly out there, folks! Lately, while I've been working, my hands have been freezing cold! We haven't turned the heat on in the house yet, trying to hold out. And I also don't want to start using my mini space heater for a few more weeks because once it goes on I will become addicted! This Witchery sweater is definitely helpful on cold days, it's super warm and perfectly oversized!
It's almost been one year since I added these Burberry Prorsum loafers to my wardrobe and I'm still so glad I splurged on them last year. Is it weird that I remember when I bought certain pieces of clothing? I guess that's a good thing, because it shows I made a good choice in buying something if I make the effort to remember our anniversary. (Yes, I realize I am very strange)

I took over 100 pictures at the pumpkin patch this past weekend, so narrowing it down to under 15 is a huge feat! I go a bit camera crazy, so when I print my pictures I have hundreds to print from one event, where normal people would have 50 or so. Whatever, I realize I have a problem, but things could be worse. I could be addicted to something that could kill me. Enough rambling, enjoy the photos and see the outfit post here!
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year (along with the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas,) so it should come as no surprise to you that one of my favorite traditions is going to the pumpkin patch! My family has been going to the same one since I was a youngin', Jones Family Farms (it is also where we get our Christmas Tree every year.) This year I just went with my sister and her boyfriend, but there's plenty of time to go again, so maybe the whole family will go one weekend.
It was super chilly and windy when we went, but was still a lot of fun! We went early in the morning to avoid the crowds but by the time we left the place was PACKED. It is insanity! I went a little light this year and just bought 2 small gourds and a bundle of Indian corn, only $6 for all of it. I'm sharing my outfit today and will share some general snaps tomorrow!

I'm wearing a few new pieces in this outfit. The first is a purple leopard sweater I picked up at the Jersey Gardens outlet mall two weekends ago, for $19.50! Moving downward we get to this fun bracelet I got during New York Fashion Week which, up until now, I had been afraid to wear in fear of it getting caught on things. FYI: It didn't, but I had to make sure it didn't go into my ketchup pile at dinner.
Finally, we get to my feet and these amazing Phillip Lim boots I bought months ago during the Barney's Warehouse Memorial Day sale. The non-fur parts are a little plasticy looking but I think the calf hair makes up for it! They also make a plain leather version and metallic gold, but I think these are a mix of both - fun and practical.

This blazer has been in my closet for 8 years and my love for it has never faltered. It was my first designer buy and it's longevity proves I made the right choice all those years ago! I wore this for a quick trip to NYC last week to see a friend I haven't seen since our trip to London 2 years ago! After that I headed to New Jersey for dinner at a friends house.
I can already tell that these boots my mom bought at Marshalls for my birthday are going to be getting a LOT of wear this Fall/Winter! They are classic, basic and super comfortable! I walked through NYC and an outlet mall in Jersey in them with no pain. And these Mother Denim jeans are more like sweatpants because they're so soft! I'm not even sure if I should consider them jeans, but I do.
