This shirt, like the Zara top I posted last week, is one that doesn't get much wear. But for a different reason. I don't really like this shirt all that much but I keep it around because it's purple and it's soft. I got it on super sale, but I think it might be time to let it go to a new home. Still haven't decided because when I do wear it, it's really comfortable. So it could just be a 'hang around the house' top.

Top: Michael by Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Ikaria' (Forward),  Necklace: BubuRuby (etsy), Ring c/o Kendra Scott
Whenever I wear these boyfriend jeans I feel the need to wear super tall heels to dress them up a bit. I feel frumpy when I wear them with flats, although I do wear them with flats 50% of the time. I guess what they say is true, opposites attract. These are anything but dressy/girly and I've paired them with a few girly pieces and it works! (at least in my opinion)

Top: Equipment (Sample Sale), Jeans: American Eagle, Espadrilles: Burberry (The Outnet), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (NET-A-PORTER sale), Sunglasses: Cole Haan c/o Marshalls, Necklace: etsy

This outfit features two new basics that should get a lot of wear this Summer! First up is the navy tee which I have been wanting for quite some time but was never able to find. You know how it is, the perfect basic is so hard to find! The same with these navy sandals. I have a bunch of navy pieces but no navy shoes so I searched high and low and ended up splurging on my FIFTH pair of Ancient Greek Sandals. What can I say? If you like a brand, stick with it.

Have you bought anything in Net-a-Porter's End of Season sale yet? I'm still holding out for lower prices, but you can see my favorite pieces here. I bought this skirt during last year's sale and although it has only made it on the blog a couple of times it has been worn quite a bit!

Tee: Madewell, Skirt: Carven (Net-a-Porter Sale, also here), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Clio' (Nordstrom), Necklace: Marrin Costello
When I bought this Zara top a few years ago I bought it knowing it wasn't totally 'me' but something about it drew me in.  I still really like it but feel strange wearing it so it only gets a few wears a year. Isn't it funny how you can love something yet not wear it? I have a few dresses like that as well. So strange.

Well, we've entered Summer weather territory with temperatures in the 80s recently! On this particular day I wore my new dress from Aeropostale and layered this cashmere sweater on top for some more coverage. The dress is more appropriate for the beach being so short and very skimpy up top. But it is so comfortable, I love the softness of the fabric!

You know those pieces that you buy and want to wear all the time? This sweater is one of them! It's so comfortable, since it's cashmere, and it's nice and thin so I can even wear it on warmer days. And isn't the back perfect?! If I get too hot in it I can just undo a few of the bottom buttons to get a nice breeze. I've worn it with jeans at least 4 times since buying the sweater last month. Not at all ashamed. But for this particular outing I decided to dress it up. My mom didn't like the combo because she thinks the stripes are too casual and the lace is too dressy. Oh well, kids will be kids, right?

P.S. How is it already JUNE?!

Sweater: Club Monaco (Clinton Crossing Premium Outlet), Skirt: made by Mom, Sandals: Manolo Blahnik 'Catalina' (Roundabout Resale), Sunglasses: Chanel

Two days left in the month, hopefully I don't buy anything new this weekend! But if I do, I'll update the post. After my vacation I tried really hard to not buy any clothes (or other unnecessary items) to help recoup my bank account.

I ended up having to buy a few bits and bobs, like a new battery for one of my computers, (ugh) and I couldn't resist a Madewell sale, where I bought 2 basics with advertising money! They haven't arrived yet so I have no photos. But I behaved for the rest of the month!

This shirt has to be one of my best thrifting finds. It's 100% silk and I paid $1 for it. At the time I wasn't sure if I liked/wanted it but it was such a good deal that I bought it. So glad I did, it's so easy to just throw on and it's actually perfect for Summer, even though it has sleeves. I wore it on vacation in North Carolina 2 years ago and it was in the upper 90s (36C+)

I was a little risque with this look and left 3 buttons undone, although you can't really tell in the photos (except one.) Ever since Alexander Wang did the playsuits with opened up button downs I've wanted to try it out. This was a great way to ease into it. One day maybe I'll brave the full look.

As you'll notice, my face and nails are completely bare. I've been giving my nails a break since getting back from vacation at the end of April, it's still odd for me to see my nails without polish. But they won't be bare for much longer, have to paint them for my next vacation! My bare face is due to pure laziness on a Sunday.

Top: thrifted, Jeans: Rag & Bone (Shopbop), Sandals: Sam Edelman c/o ThredUp

I was really enjoying the weather at the beginning of this month. It was warm enough to bare my legs, but not so warm that I couldn't cover up my arms. It was the perfect time to wear this thin long sleeve dress sans tight and jacket. Such a simple outfit, but one that I really like.

Dress: Edun c/o ThredUp, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (also here, here & here)
