Stop the presses! I broke my jean streak and wore a skirt! I paired it with a super comfy sweater and over the knee boots to minimize chilliness.  The only problem with this skirt is it is SUPER high waisted, we're talking inches above my belly button. But I can take a bit of discomfort in exchange for a pretty skirt.

Coat: TJ Maxx, Sweater: Madewell, Skirt: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW), Necklace: House of Harlow (gift from Lydia)

Funny story. I bought a pair of jeans from Free People this month that looked BLUE but when they came they were DARK GRAY. Just goes to show you that product photos can be misleading. After they came and were a different color I decided to google them and found the same jeans on Bloomingdale's where, surprise surprise, they were shown as gray. Luckily I still like the gray and it's probably better for me to have a color other than blue because I have so many blue jeans. [see comparison photo below for giggles]

Also, apparently I didn't miss Roundabout's final clearance in their sale! It happened a couple weekends ago so Lydia and I took the trip to Westport. I was pretty well behaved and only bought one thing. A beautiful Jason Wu snakeskin blouse! It was brand new with tags and the retail price was $1395. Roundabout's price was $389 but take off 65% and the additional 10% off and it came down to $122. Still expensive, but much easier to handle.  March is going to have to be a no shopping month though since I'm trying to be really good this year!

And here we are with outfit number 2 featuring my Saint Laurent patchwork blouse! For this look I paired it with dark jeans and crazy boots. It was actually warm enough without my jacket, but the wind made it necessary at some times.  You can see the effect the wind had on my hair, there were a bunch of shots with my face obscured by hair, very attractive!

This is what I wore to go to Roundabout with Lydia this past weekend. We were pretty well behaved with me buying a Jason Wu blouse and Lydia picking up a great jacket and blouse! We both had other things we wanted but we resisted the temptation to buy more because of the deep discounts. So hard.

Blazer: Evan Picone, Patchwork Blouse: Saint Laurent (eBay), Jeans: Mother c/o Marshalls, Boots: 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Peggy' (Barneys Warehouse), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' (Ditto), Necklace: Acanthus Jewelry

This has always been one of my favorite outfits. It's super cozy, but stylish and has 3 of my favorite colors to wear: teal, purple and burgundy! Not much else to share today, so enjoy the small amount of copy.

Top: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Cape: cashmere (Roundabout Resale), Jeans: Free People, Boots Alexander Wang (The Outnet), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La)

I'm still trying to resist wearing coats despite the fact that it's super super cold out. I do wear gloves but I've been layering up to avoid coats as much as possible. I don't know why, because I love all my coats. I think I must be in denial that it's finally Winter weather. I'm still  on the hunt for a backup pair of these boots because I love them so much. Sadly I haven't had much luck on eBay or Poshmark. If you happen to see these boots in a size 8 anywhere, let me know! (They're called the "Davilla" boot)

Sweater: Witchery (Jaime's blog shop), Vest: Simply Vera Wang c/o Kohl's, Leopard Jeans: Current/Elliott (RueLaLa), Boots: Vince Camuto (Marshalls)

I can't get over my obsession with this sweater. It's like a security blanket for me. If I don't know what to wear I wear this. If I'm going on a plane in the winter/fall, I wear it. Some items I'm quick to purchase even if they're expensive and I end up hardly wearing them. Such is the case with a lot of items in my closet, sadly. I am getting better at not buying things just because they are on super sale, but I've got a long way to go before I made good purchases all the time. However, this was totally worth the $94 I was hesitant to pay last January during the NAP sale.

Cardigan: DKNY (Net-a-Porter sale), Sweater: Everlane, Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Boots: Candie's c/o Kohl's

Sometimes when you get a new piece you want to wait for the perfect occasion to wear it, but sometimes that takes MONTHS. So rather than waiting forever to wear my new Saint Laurent patchwork blouse, I wore it last weekend to do some shopping with my parents. I look like a crazy hippie (compared to all the sweatpants and Uggs) in this outfit and I kind of love it. People in Home Goods probably thought I was insane, but I'd rather be overdressed than be in sweatpants. It was also FREEZING so my Dad and I shot these pictures super fast so I wouldn't turn into a popsicle without my jacket on.

Vintage Suede Jacket: William Barry - Brandon Colorado (Vintanthromodern), Patchwork Blouse: Saint Laurent (eBay), Flare Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Boots: Tabitha Simmons (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: BubuRuby, Sunglasses: Chanel (bought in Greece)

And here's a weird video I did while shopping in Home Goods. So many mirrors!

It was a cold one last week, folks! I definitely needed these three layers last week and I wore leggings under my jeans too. All the pieces in this outfit are the exact ones I wore almost 3 years ago. It feels like just yesterday that I scored this amazing oversized blazer for $10. Gotta love moving sales!

Blazer: Vintage PBM Women's (Coco's), Sweater: Ami dans la Rue (Shopbop), Tee: DIY (inspired by Burberry Prorsum), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Booties: no.704b. (DSW)

I hope those of you that celebrated had a lovely Valentine's Day. I spent my day bundled up at home watching movies because we experienced SUPER cold temperatures this weekend and I wasn't in the mood to go anywhere.  Here's what I wore a couple weekends ago after yet another snowstorm. Another men's department find, this time from Marshalls a couple years ago.  Why is it that men's sweaters are so much softer than women's?! This thing is like a blanket and I love that the sleeves are extra long.

Sweater: Marc Jacobs (Marshalls, men's section), Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Scarf: Madewell, Boots: Grandma's, Sunglasses: Chanel (bought in Greece)
