*Soma gifted the sandals featured in this post, but all opinions are my own.*

I'm a little (fashionably) late to this trend, but when Soma Footwear asked if I wanted to style a pair of their leather shoes I decided on these pom-pom sandals which have been everywhere this Summer! Better late than never, right? I considered a pair of their ADORABLE printed or beaded ballet flats but in the end I decided to keep Summer fun going a bit longer with the sandals. Each piece, like art, is exclusive and hand embroidered/hand sewed so you know what you're getting is special.

Soma has reinvented the traditional shoe to embody a mix of East and West fashion style identities, with special attention given to comfort and quality. They source high quality leather and have superior stitching by craftsmen who have been in this field for generations. Soma has pioneered the art of incorporating traditionally worn footwear into mainstream contemporary fashions with their vibrant colors, elegant curves, impeccable finish, and commitment to quality.

When these arrived one of the tassels on the ties had fallen off, luckily I was able to just snap it back on. I've found that they're prone to popping off, so you may want to reinforce with a dab of glue.  I might sew mine on to really prevent them from slipping. I'm also horrible at tying things, so forgive the poorly done knots, haha! I'll get better eventually!

Another outfit with my Miu Miu sunglasses from Ditto, I wanted to wear them as much as possible before trading them in for a new pair. Remember: Use code CLOSETFASHIONENDLESSDITTO to get your first month of Endless Eyewear FREE!

I don't have much else to say about the outfit besides the fact that this outfit is way of the top and I love it.  I still don't wear this romper as much as I should because it's a little big and plunges a lot more in the front than I'm used to. (You can't really tell from the photos) You're also supposed to see more of my back, but since it's so big, the fabric fold down and hides the keyhole detailing! GRRR.

Here's a look at a few of the sunnies in My Favorites section. The Jason Wu's are on their way!
Another Thursday, another throwback outfit. I do technically still have the original sandals from this look. But they currently have a different color fabric/tie and I was too lazy to switch back to brown, haha! So I switched it up with one of my favorite Ancient Greek Sandals.

P.S. Happy September!!

Once again I couldn't resist a sale! I ran into Roundabout for a few minutes earlier in the month to bring in some items and it just happened to be the end of their sale, so it was 75% off clothes and 60% off shoes and accessories. I scored a pair of Cole Haan pumps that I had tried on almost every time I've visited the store. I also got a fun printed green tank for only $9.75 (it was brand new with tags!)

I also used some advertising money to buy a couple pieces for Fall. A black cashmere sweater and long sleeve tee from Everlane. I've been wanting both for quite some time, especially since I got my crazy Proenza Schouler pants, so it was the perfect time! Sadly the sweater is back-ordered until October, but I likely won't need it until then anyway.*

Finally I stopped by Lord and Taylor last week because I had a 25% off clearance coupon. I bought a dress and tank for $29 total! Woohoo!

*I was emailed last night and told the sweater is out of stock so they canceled that part of my order. Such a shame since that was why I made the whole purchase! Oh well.

Who doesn't love a tee with a London bus on it?! Whenever I wear this it makes me dream of going back. Luckily for me I'll be headed there in December for New Years! Super excited! But back to the outfit, I wore this to go see Star Trek Beyond. It was amazinggg!! They just keep getting better! Although I'm sure after I watch a few more times I'll be able to judge a bit better and pick which of the three new ones is my favorite.

*Thanks to DITTO Endless Eyewear for partnering with me!*

Love designer sunglasses but too fickle to pick just one pair? Have no fear! Endless Eyewear from Ditto is here! I've been a fan of Ditto for a couple years but had yet to try out their subscription program. One of my favorite things is their DITTO Tool. You take a video of your face turning from side to side so you can try on any of their sunglasses on your face! So cool.

I've been wanting to try their Endless Eyewear program for a while so when they contacted me about testing it out for a few months my answer was easy! The program is super simple: pick a pair of sunglasses, wear them as long as you want then swap for a new pair! Shipping is free and you have unlimited swaps. Don't worry if you get a tiny scratch, your subscription includes insurance if there are any mishaps.

At $24 per month for sunglasses and $34 for prescriptions how can you go wrong? If you like the pair you're currently testing out you can purchase for 15% off. Sign up for Endless Eyewear with code CLOSETFASHIONENDLESSDITTO to get your first month FREE!

Normally I go for classic styles but since there was no pressure to keep them I decided to try out a "wacky" pair by Miu Miu for my first pick! I might try these fun Selima Optique's next, or maybe this Ray-Ban pair.

Top: Highline Collective (Lord & Taylor), Pants: Proenza Schouler (Yoox, also here), Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini), Bag: Chanel (Madison Avenue Couture), Sunglasses: Miu Miu via Ditto Endless Eyewear

And Lydia and I coordinated by accident so we had to take a photo together:
I picked up this tank top on a quick trip into Roundabout a couple weekends ago. I ran in to consign some pieces and took a quick look around and walked out with this for under $10! (and a pair of Cole Haan leopard print pumps...oops!) As you all know I'm not usually a fan of white pants, but this top was just begging to be worn with white. I also really love how deep the opening is in the back, lets me show off those sexy shoulder blades, haha!

Tank: Natalie Martin (Roundabout), Jeans: Mother c/o Marshalls, Sandals: Seychelles (DSW), Sunglasses: Ray-Ban 'Emma' (Marshalls)

Now that all my trips are over it's back to Throwback Outfit Thursdays! Sometimes basic outfits are all you need. This skirt is always fun since I can play with the length a bit because of the design. I usually opt for it to be a bit shorter but I can also make it closer to my knees. And my mouse flats, Jacques and Gus, are always crowd pleasers.

Top: Cullen (Rue La La), Skirt: T by Alexander Wang (NET-A-PORTER), Mouse Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Necklace: SparkleFarm

The Original:
On a rather rainy day on our trip we decided to take a little field trip to Newport so I took the afternoon off work to join in on the fun. Luckily for most of our time in Newport the rain stayed away but we did have a 20 minute span of rain where we ducked into a store. I ended up buying a really fun opal (and I THINK sapphire) owl ring at the Armory Antique Marketplace. Opal is my birthstone and owls are one of my favorite animals so I couldn't resist him!

Dress: Splendid (Net-a-Porter Sale), Sweater: American Eagle, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini)

My mom and I also matched on this day. She wore the zebra print pants I bought her for Mother's Day since she wanted a pair like my Sea New York silk pants.
