Wow, it's been a little over SEVEN YEARS since I wore this outfit. I still have the top half but the bottom half has long since gone. And good riddance! It's so loose and baggy. This updated version is far superior. It's amazing what happens when you have pieces that fit properly. Although I suppose non-skin tight jeans and baggy boots were in style.

Last week I was in Rhode Island for a couple days and headed to Newport for an afternoon. It was a whopping 80 degrees - IN OCTOBER - so I was able to wear my thin cashmere sweater one last time before it goes away until next Summer.

I recently went to the pumpkin patch with my brother and his girlfriend. Sadly it was misting the whole time and raining when we left so the photos of my outfit aren't the best. But I'm going to share them anyway because we took the trouble to take them. Luckily I knew I would be taking another tip to Jones Family Farm's in a few days so I wasn't too upset that we just ran in and out.
This bag is the third piece I've gotten on HauteTrader. I used 400 of my HautePoints to add this beautiful bag to my closet for free thanks to a Free Trade code for Fall! You can still use TradeWMegan for a free trade of your own! Don't worry, I'll be wearing the Missoni dress I got soon!
I've never been that into Louis Vuitton accessories, probably because I'm not a huge fan of their logo all over the bags. They just seem overly "look at my logo!" I would have made an exception for a bag like Mal from ReadyTwoWear had, for some reason this one didn't bug me. So when I saw that this plain, albeit beautiful, bag was a LV I was shocked. The color is gorgeous and it's a vintage bag from March 1994 if I read the date code correctly. The logo is still there, but I like how it is embossed so it doesn't stand out too much. It also comes with a cute little pouch that's perfect for your credit cards.
This particular bag, the Epi Leather Sac D'Epaule, is only available through secondhand markets now, but there are still plenty of bags in the Epi Leather Collection. After some research I found the following information on the line:

Epi Leather was introduced in 1985 as the brand's first permanent leather line, and it's been beloved for its durability and vivid color selection ever since. The leather is dyed, printed with Epi's famous three-dimensional wave pattern and then painted with a color-matching top coating, which ensures the colors are especially bright and makes the leather very resistant to water and wear. There's a reason Epi bags are so popular on the resale market: they require very little care to look virtually new for years.Sweater: Context (Lord & Taylor), Jeans: J Brand 'Mid Rise Photo Ready Super Skinny Jean' (Gilt), Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt) Bag: Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Sac D'Epaule (HauteTrader)
I wore this a couple weeks ago for a blogger's night out event at Park and Oak Restaurant in West Hartford Connecticut. It was a bit of a hike driving for an hour and a half but totally worth it. A few bloggers were invited by chef and co-ownder David Borselle to sample some of their popular dishes as well as some new items that will be coming this Fall! I'll share more about the event below my outfit.
When I got my ChloƩ Faye bag I knew I wanted to wear it with my crazy Saint Laurent patchwork blouse and Free People flares. It has such a fun 70s vibe about it. I decided to go a bit wild with my shoes and wore leopard print to add even more print to the look.

Now on to the food! Park and Oak opened on November 30, 2016 and they have been a hit ever since. I can see why because the attention to detail in the food is amazing! Chef David calls the style American comfort food with a chef's touch. Meaning they make comfort food, but with a twist to make it more creative. They also use responsibly sourced local ingredients to give customers the highest quality product possible. Now let's get on to the food!
We also had a delicious roasted sweet potato with roasted peppers, chili pepper and cojita cheese, but my picture came out too dark.

This cardigan may be one of my favorite thifted finds; at least top 5. I got it for $8 (I think) at a Goodwill and it is SO perfect for Fall and Winter. It's heavy, yet light, if that makes sense. I can throw it on over a tee or tank on cooler days and on COLD days layer it with other sweaters and wear it like a coat. I'm wearing all the same pieces in this look as I did 5 1/2 years ago, these pieces have definitely stood the test of time and will continue to!

My favorite season has finally arrived! We had a bit of an Indian Summer the past week or so and it's been nice to finally need a sweater. Maybe it's the fact that I was born in October but Fall has always been my favorite season. The pretty leaves, the smells, the sweaters...so perfect.
This crop top is one of my favorite Zara buys ever. It's made up of all my favorite colors and is just perfect for Autumn! Rather than wearing it with dark high waisted jeans I decided to go with my lighter wash Everlane jeans and Lanvin studded suede sandals. Keeps it a little more "transitional" in a way. These sandals seriously go with everything. I love the way they bring out all the different colors in my top. I'm still seriously considering buying a backup pair if I ever find another in my size that isn't too pricey.

I hope you're not getting tired of my ChloƩ Faye yet because it's not going anywhere anytime soon. I wore this outfit on a cooler day while I was still trying to get wear out of my sandals. The great thing about this sheer Equipment blouse is it can work for all seasons. If I fold up the sleeves like this it's Summer appropriate and I can wear it normally with a cardigan come Fall and Winter.
