{outfit} Go Red or Go Home

I'm not usually one to wear red but for I asked for this fun Everlane sweater for Christmas this year and decided to go with the red rather than black, white or green (I asked for a different Everlane sweater in green.) I love the wider sleeve and the rib detailing at the end of the sleeves, bottom and  neck. Small details like this make clothes look so expensive, don't you think? It also ha

{outfit} Injecting Some Spring

I wore this over the weekend to go shopping and out to lunch with my brother. I behaved and didn't buy anything, woo! It was still a little chilly but I wanted to add a bit of brightness to my outfit so I wore my bright green sweater under a cape for some Spring layering. I also wore these brighter blue skinny jeans instead of my darker washes. Not totally Spring, but we're getting there! Cashme

{outfit} Trying to Mix it Up

It's still chilly but I wanted to break my rut of wearing jeans everyday so I opted for these slightly flared velvet pants I've had for years. Hopefully soon I'll be able to start wearing dresses and skirts without freezing. Guess we'll see what Mother Nature has in store for us next week! Colorblock Faux-Fur Vest: Romeo & Juliet Couture, Turtleneck: French Connection (Marshalls), Pants: Glo

{throwback outfit} Revisiting February 7 2012

This doesn't look like a first day of Spring outfit. Nevertheless it's what I wore on Tuesday for a couple quick errands and to get my free Rita's Italian Ice! Mmmm. Thanks to eBay you can still recreate this outfit even though it's 6 years old! I found the blazer, top and jeans available from different sellers. Blazer: Gap, Top: Michael Kors, Jeans:  Free People (Gilt Groupe), Boots: Vinta

{outfit} Tiny Details

I hardly ever wear my blazers anymore so I decided to pull one out this past weekend for no reason at all. This is one of my favorites because of the print mixing, color and the added touches of velvet. Such an amazing piece and I scored it for $188 4 years ago! And, as luck would have it, I found one for $200 on eBay if you like it! Blazer: Etro (Roundabout Resale), Cashmere Sweater: Everlane,

{outfit} It's Still Winter

It's still chilly out there, folks! Hopefully Spring arrives soon, but until then I'll continue to get wear out of my favorite sweaters before they go away until next Fall! I wore this over the weekend for a quick trip to Terrain and Home Goods. Getting home inspiration is always a fun Sunday activity. Sweater: Everlane Wool-Cashmere Oversized Cable Turtleneck, Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' High Rise i

{throwback outfit} Revisiting December 10 2013

Just as I thought I was done needing my snow boots we got hit with a Nor'easter last week and had about a foot of snow in the yard.  But that gave me a chance to break them out for this week's throwback outfit! I wore this for a day of working at the house and then headed out to run some errands. I was too lazy to put on makeup so I just dabbed on some red lipstick so my face wasn't so bare.

{outfit} Comfy Casual

I wore this last weekend to go out to lunch with my two best friends. I haven't worn sneakers in a while so decided to throw them on with this basic look. I still feel odd when I wear sneakers, not sure why, but at least these make a statement with their leopard print in calf hair. Not a practical sneaker, but they sure are fun! And, as you can see, we got a nice snowstorm last week and another
