This week started off nice and easy but yesterday some garbage happened at work and I had to stay late...so annoying! Oh wells...that's what happens in the real world. I wore a lot of red this week, so funny how that happens, do you ever end up wearing the same color scheme for a few days. So far I have no plans for the weekend apart from going to my Grandma's on Sunday for our weekly lazy day. I might go see Beauty and the Beast in 3D with my mom and sister but we haven't decided yet.
And my roommate has people coming over tomorrow (including my other best friend) so that should be interesting...something crazy always happens when she goes out. I've been woken up at 2am plenty of times to her jumping on me saying she loves me, ha ha...gotta love drunk people. I personally don't drink, but that's mostly because I hate the feeling of alcohol...it burns, ha ha.

People are always talking about monochromatic outfits so I decided to wear a duo-tone (meaning 2 colors) outfit! Yesterday I decided to be a little wild and wear my velvet Tahari pants with my Alexander Wang booties. Since my bottom half was a bit extreme I wanted to keep things simple on the top. I'm also trying to wear more jewelry, every day I am going to wear the same 2 rings (along with my watch) and then add a necklace or something. Need to get into the habit of accessorizing, I never do it. I even wore a darker shade of lipstick, not like you can tell. But I felt weird so I wiped it off before work, ha ha. I like VERY simple makeup if you haven't noticed...I also don't wear it half the time because I'm lazy.

This is how I actually wore my hair today. I tried my old standby of taking my shower at night sleeping with my hair in a bun. This was the first time I tried it since cutting my hair and thankfully it still works!
And here is my usual audience watching me take photos. There were many other viewers today (people walking pets) too...very awkward. [UPDATE: It isn't my cat]
P.S. Sign the petition to stop sensorship on the internet. The SOPA and PIPA laws are supposed to fight piracy but they will end up doing much more than that, we need to stop them from passing!

As we all know Clemence Poesy is one of my girl crushes, she is gorgeous with impeccable style...makes me so jealous! She was the cover girl of Glamour UK's February issue and I am in LOVE!

Why do I always seem to pick the days where it is FREEZING cold outside. I'm not totally in love with this outfit, it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, but I decided to post them anyway so me freezing my butt off wasn't wasted.
The shoes I wore were a little tall for these pants since I've grown quite a bit since I first bought them so that bugs me a bit...but I enjoy the general look I was going for. I also decided to accessorize a lot more than usual with a snake necklace, turtle ring and some smaller rings I inherited from my mother/grandmother (I can't remember whose they were now...) One is a spoon ring, does anyone else have one of these babies? I LOVE them, they're made from old spoons and you can resize them easily. Its cool to think that my ring could potentially be from the early 1900s, sadly I don't know exactly what year it's from.

And here is a blooper shot from when I was trying to get a shot of my rings, but I like it anyway.
Aaaand here is where I sit every morning before work. I get up at 7am and comment on blogs until I'm ready to get dressed or take outfit pictures. Then I leave for work at 8:20, so I pretty much spend an hour doing blogging stuff instead of sleeping in. See what I do for you guys? :p

Today I thought I would share with you some of my current lusts. Many of these pieces are way out of my price range, and some I would never be able to wear, but that doesn't stop me from drooling over them. I am TOTALLY in love with the black, high-waisted Balmain skirt...it is perfection. What are your current lusts?
It's funny looking at how diverse all of these pieces are. But that's true to my style, I'm a little bit of everything. Girly, edgy, quirky, serious, fun, etc. What I wear really depends on what mood I'm in or what I'm doing, I always love to switch things up. I hate when people think you have to stick to a certain style, that's not what fashion is about. I think fashion is about playing, taking risks and wearing what you want no matter what other people may think. I may be a super shy person who doesn't talk much, but I feel like when I get dressed it is how I express myself.

My favorite television show, BBC's Merlin, is finally back on in the USA for it's 4th season and Friday was the second episode. [it airs Friday at 10 on SyFy for those of you that want to watch] I can barely look away from the tv when it's on, which is a rare feat... I could have watched it along with the folks in the UK, but I prefer to watch it legally, ha ha. So if you watch it and have seen the full 4th season DON'T SPOIL ME! :p Do you watch Merlin?
I have been obsessed with this show since the first episode aired for a few reasons 1. I love the King Arthur legend, 2. The boys are cute and 3. The clothes the girls wear! Since this is a fashion blog I should probably show you the pretty clothes (and perhaps a few of the handsome gents as well)
Katie McGrath plays Morgana and Angel Coulby plays Gwen. Sorry for the photospam, couldn't pick my favorites...
And here are some of the sexy gentlemen [my favorite 3]: Merlin (Colin Morgan), Arthur (Bradley James) and Gwaine (Eoin Macken).
And as some added cuteness the little boy who is in Hugo was in the show:
