What did I tell you? Another mainly dark colored Spring collection, what can I say I like deep hues.  I have been a Carven fan ever since I discovered them, which sadly wasn't that long ago. Thank goodness I started my blog, it has helped broaden my view of clothing.  This collection is full of really interesting shapes and cut-outs which make it stand out from the regular stuff. I also enjoy all the collars peeking out of the clothes, except normally I'm not one to wear collars.

One of the big trends for this year is oversized.  Luckily my mom gave me this old sweater of my dad's, which was made by my Grandmother, that fits the bill perfectly!  My tip for wearing oversized pieces is to go easy with the accessories and wear something a bit more form fitting on the bottom (or top if your bottom is the oversized piece.) A lot of the runways were showing oversized pieces all around, but that's not too flattering for most normal sized women.

I wore this last Monday when I went home for birthday celebrations for my mother and I (her birthday is 2 days before mine). It was just me, my mom, dad, one of my brothers and my sister. We had Chinese food, cupcakes, cake and opened silly presents. I also realized during dinner that I had put my sweater on backwards...oops!

Sweater: Made by Grandma, Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Consignments) $80,   Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop)

Here are some oversized pieces I would love to add to my closet, with some commentary by yours truly.:
Here we have one of the few really Springy collections I enjoyed, usually I am drawn toward the darker collections but for some reason the prettiness of this collection stood out. To me, these are perfect Easter outfits, cute pastel colors, flowers and prints!

I had never heard of Antonio Marras before this year, which is one of the reasons I've been trying to go through every single collection from fashion week. It helps me to discover new designers to follow! What do you think?!

I wore this yesterday to my internship, which I will have some exciting news about soon (don't want to say anything just yet).  It was also my birthday so I wore my Alexander Wang Freja booties because they were my gift last year! I'm so glad it's finally bootie weather, you'll be seeing these a lot again this year!  I also decided to show you guys my huge work bag, I needed to find something that would fit my 17 inch laptop, no easy feat! I found this bag, and one other at Marshalls in my search for an affordable option.  I would have liked the 3.1 Philip Lim Pashli, Alexander Wang Emilie, Alexander Wang Dimanche or Proenza Schouler PS11 but that's not in the budget right now.

(I took these photos on Monday. And I wore maroon tights and threw on my Theyskens' Theory leather jacket yesterday because it was a little too chilly in the morning to go bare legged)

Top c/o LAmade, Skirt: made by mom, Booties: Alexander Wang (The Outnet) gift, Necklace: Francesca's $22, Watch: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop) gift card, Bag: Marshalls $25

It's official, I am getting OLD!!! Well, not really, but as each birthday passes I feel less excitement as it approaches. Gone are the days of family birthday parties and tons of presents. Now it's just, "congratulations, you are a year closer to being a full fledged adult." I definitely do not act like one though, I still love Disney, being a weirdo and all things childish. I will always be a child in spirit even if my age doesn't reflect it.  Enjoy some photos of little me:
I celebrated my birthday with my family on Monday, and here are some goodies I got:
Sex & the City DVD set, Little Rascals DVD set, Owl mug, Lauren Conrad Owl necklace and a container full of 5 pounds of Skittles!
Mulberry's Spring show was another collection filled with amazing prints!  I tried to narrow myself down to showing only two shows from each fashion week, but I couldn't resist showing this!  This collection screamed my name with the beautiful prints and dark hues, I'm a sucker for rich colors. And there were some brights for those of you that love pastels.
