The floral shorts return! I love these babies, and the weird thing about that is they're white! I never wear white, which you probably don't believe since I posted a white skirt yesterday.  But they are my only white-ish pieces...I don't count them as totally white since they're printed.

I also took a photo showing my lovely DKNY wallet because it never gets any blog love.  As you can see I have a slight ostrich texture obsession.  I am ALWAYS drawn to the ostrich pieces in stores and have to stop myself.

Layla wanted to get in the foreground of some photos...

This past Saturday I met up with Lydia to check out Roundabout's sale (50% off! & a sidewalk sale where items were $10-$25.) Since I liked my Thursday outfit so much, I decided to wear it again so Lydia could photograph it. At Roundabout I tried on a bunch of pieces & walked out with 2 things (photo) I won't wear that often but had to purchase. It's like an episode of Resale Royalty I saw a couple weeks ago, sometimes I buy pieces to fulfill a fantasy life I wish I had. But that's okay as long as it doesn't get out of hand.

I bought a pair of velvet Balenciaga pants that retailed for almost $1000. I paid $35 because they were 75% off plus an extra 50% off! I also picked up a gorgeous Tracy Reese dress with a fun scale-like print for $59 (regularly $475 if eBay is to be believed.) At this point I have nowhere to wear it, but hopefully I'll be invited to a wedding or something soon!

After shopping we had a quick bite to eat and stopped at The Historical Christmas Barn to check out their sale. My sister used to work there and they always have really cute stuff. Before we went our separate ways, we took our outfit photos on a cute stone path behind the store. Prepare for a deluge of photos! (I said deluge like Dori in The Hobbit, he says it funny)

I had an outfit post planned for today, but got a fun email from The Outnet last week letting me know that a ton of great Valentino pieces would be added to the site today!  From the press release: Valentino's iconic designs epitomize Italian glamour. Renowned for show-stopping red gowns, delicate lace dresses and luxe leather accessories, this is the label to be seen in this season. Make like Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung and Amy Adams and embrace Valentino's exquisite style - at up to 65% off at THE OUTNET!

Many of you may recall that I got my first (and only) Valentino piece via The Outnet's 2nd birthday sale for $2! It is a gorgeous jacket that retailed for $8,000 - see it in this post. Below are some pieces along with their pricing on The Outnet. I will update them later to include links once they are live on the site!

Bow-embellished leather jacket $965
Ruffled silk and leather gown $1785
Satin-trimmed tiered silk-velvet skirt $1195
Studded Sandal $495

Tiered silk-chiffon dress $965

Twill straight-leg pants $198
I wore this two weekends ago when it was SUPER hot.  I wanted to wear as little clothing as possible without being naked, so I decided to bring back the 90s with this denim mini skirt! I've had it since middle school I believe...but it used to have a layer of ruffles underneath which I have since removed.  I also wore very limited makeup; a bit of bronzer, blush, mascara and lipstick = done! Easy, peasy! :)

Top: Mexx (Coco's $10 sale), Skirt: Mudd (old), Sandals: Seychelles (DSW), Sunglasses: Ray Ban "Emma" (Marshalls)

July is already halfway over...what is this madness?!  Right about now I am in vacation countdown mode, only one week to go and I'll be spending a blissful week in a beach house right across the street from the beach in Rhode Island!

I wore my new Marc Jacobs dress on Monday and I love it! It is super comfortable and I love the fun detail at the bottom. The only problem is it wrinkles SUPER easy (and I don't own an iron...) I'll just have to drive the long 5 minutes to my parents house when it needs to be ironed. I also wore a pencil skirt to work for the first time ever...what?!  But this skirt that I got for $10 at Coco's needs to be shown off, so I wore it with the sweater my grandmother made for my mom (who then passed it on to me) to dress it down.

Monday: Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Gilt Groupe), Flats: Ancient Greek Sandals (FORWARD), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: Urban Outfitters, vintage & Mom's
Tuesday: Top: Michael Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Jeans: Guess (Lord & Taylor), Wedges: Steve Madden (DSW), Necklace: unknown, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: Urban Outfitters, vintage & Mom's
Wednesday: Dress: Jason Wu for Target, Sandals: Madden Girl (Marshalls), Necklace: Marc Jacobs, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: Urban Outfitters, vintage & Mom's
Thursday: Sweater: Made by Grandma, Skirt: J.McLaughlin (Coco's $10 sale), Sandals: Manolo Blahnik (Roundabout Resale), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: Urban Outfitters, vintage & Mom's
Extra shots that I never got to post because I always like too many photos! All of these are by Lydia, obviously, ha ha.
Ever since I got my new Ancient Greek Sandals I've been dreaming up ways to wear them. This week I wore them Grecician style with my new Marc by Marc Jacobs dress (you'll see on Friday!)  I decided to style them the same way for this post, with different pieces obviously.

The necklace I chose is definitely a splurge but it was too spot on to not include! The pendants are Greek warriors, the perfect match for the sandals.  I also gave two dress options, I think the one on the left is more casual and goes with the sandals better. But, if you feel like dressing them up, option number 2 is great.

Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals ($230)
Necklace: DANNIJO ($305)
Arm Cuff: Citrine by the Stones ($188)
Leaf Bracelet: dreamsbythesea ($50 at Etsy)
Left Dress: Norma Kamali ($240 at The Outnet)
Right Dress: Alexander Wang ($277 at The Outnet)

The rain has finally subsided: HUZZAH! Except now I bet I jinxed it, oh well...  Anyway today I thought I would look back at some pieces I've worn in a myriad of ways.  This is the third installment of this feature: Part 1 & Part 2

Ralph Lauren Striped Sweater - I wear this sweater quite often, but it is not something that gets photographed a lot.  Not sure why because it's one of my favorite things.  It's usually a weekend piece and what I throw on when I have no idea what to wear. I bought it at good will for $8 and it's too big so it has a nice slouchy feel.

Purple Printed Skirt - My mom made this skirt for me 2 years ago with fabric we bought at Mood after my photoshoot with The Outnet.  I wear it a lot but it is one of those pieces that I always wear with the same things because they go so perfectly together.

McQ Alexander McQueen Dress - Another oldie, but goodie.  My mom bought me this from Century 21 for my birthday 2 years ago.  It is from the last collection McQueen did so it has a special place in my wardrobe. I've only shown Summery stylings here, but I wear it through the Winter too.

Super quick post today, I hope you all enjoyed your (hopefully long) weekends. It was a scorcher wasn't it? Here's what I wore on the 4th of July! I started with a white tee, but when I got to my parents house I remembered I had a red shirt there, so I switched! Much better, right?  I also wore my new Ancient Greek Sandals! WOO!

Song of the Day: On The 4th of July by James Taylor

Shorts: Zara, White Tee: Everlane, Red Tee: American Eagle, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals "Ikaria", Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: Urban Outfitters, vintage & Mom's

A nice short week this week! Yesterday was the 4th of July, obviously and today is another day off! Long weekends are the best, aren't they?! (I feel like I just said that a few weeks ago, ha ha.)  This week was another nice non-stressful week at work. We were able to just work on projects without rushing. That is always much better than when we have 5 things due the same day!

I have been doing a bit too much shopping lately. I blame the sales... I was still under budget but I need to be a good girl.  So I'm going to try to not buy anything until my vacation, which is in 2 weeks! WOO! I'll be spending the week at a beach house in Rhode Island with my immediate family as well as some aunts and uncles.
