First up is  Preen Line, I'm loving the mix of colors and textures in the collection. It is definitely one of the more wearable presentations.
Peter Pilotto was also full of the prints we've all come to expect from the brand.  Remember, you can still shop his Target Collaboration!

Before we get started with my outfit, there's some exciting news to share: The Outnet's Clearance sale starts today!  Shop over 2,000 pieces up to 85% off from your favorite designers including Lanvin, Balmain, Alexander McQueen and Isabel Marant. This is THE OUTNET event you can’t afford to miss, I always find great pieces to add to my closet! Since I'm doing the French Wardrobe Challenge I'm going to have to either get basics or find that one special item to be part of my "five" pieces.

I wore this outfit to work a few weeks ago (seen here) and decided it deserved it's own post.  I've done a few all black looks with skirts in the past, but I finally have jeans to do black the model off duty way. I like to imagine that if I were a model I'd walk around like this all the time. It was actually nice and warm when I was taking these photos (50 F) so I brought Layla out with me.  The last photo was supposed to be a full body shot but I thought I should zoom in because she looks funny in the background.

Prabal Gurung. I am so in love with this collection. The mix of silk and knits is perfection, and love all the twisting on the fabric and of course the colors.

Michael Kors has done it again. This collection is awesome, it is all neutrals but the prints and textures make the collection.  I really love how he turns an oversized sweater and sweatpants into something super expensive with a fur vest.

This was another short week, working in the office-wise. After the Oscars on Sunday I stayed over at a friends house and drove back home in the morning so I obviously wasn't going into the city that day. And then we had my regular Wednesday and Friday at home, so only 2 work outfits to share!

The weather should hopefully be getting warmer now. Crossing my fingers we are at least in the 40s rather than the 30s. Does anyone have exciting weekend plans? I don't, but that's fine by me. I need to catch up on all the movies I've been recording. I have been watching so many "new" lately, it's madness! And by new, I mean mostly movies from the 30s-50s.

Tuesday: Dress: Michael Kors (Net-a-Porter Sale), Sweater: ?? (from Christine), Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

Thursday: Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Heels: Proenza Schouler (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's
Don't worry, I don't actually wear these shoes outside in Winter. I walk in flats and change into them once I'm inside where it's warm.  This is a "casual" weekend outfit, I added the shoes to feel a bit more dressed up, but they didn't stay on long.

We enjoyed a freezing cold few days this past weekend, I'm getting rather tired of the cold but at least I still get to wear all my sweaters! I am looking forward to warmer temperatures though, but I would be fine with 60s.

Sweater: Ralph Lauren c/o Marshalls, Tee: H&M, Jeans: rag & bone (Shopbop), Boots: Alexander Wang (The Outnet), Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted, $2!), Necklace c/o Gorjana Griffin, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban "Emma" (Marshalls), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

More fashion week time!  Extending the experience far after it is over.  First up is Diane von Furstenberg's 50th anniversary collection. Such a nice variety; sweater dresses, wrap dresses, and lots of gold dresses.

Then we have Tory Burch.
