I'm assuming that I wore this outfit with a coat and not just this sweater since this look is from January. But it works perfectly for these early Fall days with no extra layers. Only 2 original pieces in this look today, but I do still have the flats. I'm wearing two new pieces. I changed into velvet mules I bought on the way home and my new Everlane jeans that were delivered!

I decided to go blue on blue on blue with a hint of purple and leopard print for a lunch and shopping date with friends. You can never have too much monochrome, right?

I don't wear this top very often because I find it hard to style. I think the last time it was on the blog I wore it with these jeans too. Oh well, at least it's got different accessories this time! Including my gorgeous dark purple Chloé Faye, oh how I love this bag!!! I also attempted an inside-out french braid but you can't really see it in the photos.

I always feel like I'm stepping back in time when I wear these 70s flared Free People jeans. They add such an element of fun to any look. I had wanted to wear this tank top and didn't feel like wearing it with shorts or regular jeans so - flares to the rescue!

Here is another outfit where I only had 2 of the pieces left in my closet. I'm only wearing one in this recreation because I'm not a huge fan of the sandals, not sure why I'm holding on to them still...perhaps it's time to let them go.
Blazer: Jones New York (Burlington), Top: MICHAEL Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Sandals: Mula c/o Marshalls

We didn't get to go to Disney for free this trip, BUT we took advantage of an awesome promotion they had. Annual passholders were able to get up to 6 friends tickets for $80 instead of $170. SCORE! When my friends and I go to Disney we don't play around. It was 12 hours of constant moving from ride to ride getting everything checked off. We ended up only eating lunch and basically forgot to get dinner, oops! Don't worry, I grabbed a Mickey pretzel on the go before I fainted, ha ha.
I was finally able to wear my super cute Mickey bag from Coach at Disney! He was so excited to be in his homeland. (I know, I'm super weird! Deal with it)
Camisole: Eight Sixty, Shorts c/o Banana Republic Factory (Clinton Crossing), Mickey Mouse Bag: Coach x Disney 'Patricia Saddle in Glove Calf Leather with Mickey Ears' (Coach Outlet), Sandals: Glasses chain: Tinksky (Amazon), Sandals: Sam Edelman c/o ThredUp, Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika'

I only managed to take 2 sets out outfit photos while on vacation a couple weeks ago. I ended up spending a lot of time working in our hotel and the rest sweating like a maniac in the theme parks, I only lasted a few hours each outing - except for Disney day - ha ha. This romper always joins me on my travels. It's just so easy to throw on for a day of running around in the heat. It will be a sad day when it gets worn out. Thanks to my three lovely friends Rosie, Amy and Stephanie for help with these photos!

I picked up these super fun gold flecked linen shorts before my Banana Republic Factory styling event for a whopping $8! The first thing I thought to wear them with was this feline print Equipment top. Forgive the wrinkles, I only sat in them for a little bit and they wrinkled right up.
When I got to my parents both of my brothers had interesting thoughts on my look. The youngest said I looked like Ace Ventura. The other told me I looked like an 60 year old woman. That was probably brought on by a combo of the shape of the shorts and the eyeglasses chain. But whatever, I dig it! Personally I'm reminding myself of Ellie from Jurassic Park or someone about to go on a safari.

Here's a full redo of an outfit from 2010. I was almost going to wear different shoes but decided to just go for the original and add in some new accessories. This dress actually should have left my closet years ago since I never wear it. I hate the fabric it's made out of. BUT...I keep it around for my Willy Wonka Halloween costume in case I ever need to wear it again.
Dress: ASOS, Jacket: Mudd (Kohl's), Shoes: Simply Vera Wang (Kohl's), Necklace: BubuRuby (etsy), Opal Ring & Earrings: Grandma;s

I tried to behave a little more this month since I spent quite a bit in July. Buuuut that all went to heck when I decided to bite the bullet on a purchase I've been wanting to make since last year: a Chloé Faye bag. Technically I've wanted it since Summer 2015 but last Fall they came out with MY COLOR and that sealed my fate! I've slowly been saving up to buy one but it was slow going for a while and it's almost impossible to find a brand new dark purple bag. This is the biggest clothing purchase I've made, apart from my Chanel 2.55 purse back in 2012.
I've been scouring eBay, The Real Real, Luxury Garage Sale, and Vestiaire Collective for at least 8 months. During that time I came across maybe 1 or 2 bags in passable condition. That's why it was a little easier for me to justify buying it before I had fully saved up. I took the remainder of the money I needed out of my Australia vacation savings account and now I'll just build that back up to where it needs to be over the next 6 months. So while I was bad, it's not a huge deal since I basically robbed a vacation that won't be happening for at least a year to pay for a bag. Don't you all love reading about how I justify my huge purchases?
Other than that, I did add a few other pieces to my closet, but all were gifted by brands, so no issues there! Let's see how I behave next month.
