Last Monday I showed you my new backyard so I thought it was only fitting to show you my new bedroom today!  I had to combine two rooms because, if you remember, at my old house I had a bedroom and a closet room. Fortunately, my bedroom just had my bed, a small shelving unit and a green dresser. The room is half Harry Potter, half fashion which is very fitting because they are my two obsessions. Sadly only a small fraction of my Potter collection is on display, I have BOXES full of stuff for when I have my own place and can show them all proudly

Harry Potter book cover prints (limited edition, no longer available) and a storyboard from the actual set. Quilt made by my Mom
Clothes!
Sweater shelving unit (IKEA)
My shoe bookshelf, jewelry and London, Paris, Rome & New York prints by Andrea Laliberte
My Chanel makeup collection, Marc Jacobs Dot perfume and some of my more worn accessories. (The left is a photo of my Grandmother who passed away and the perfume she always wore)
My bags (Marc by Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Mulberry and Ralph Lauren), Marc by Marc Jacobs mouse flats and DIY Burberry Prorsum tee
Mr Owl ornament and jewelry
Dresser from Home Goods
Mini bookshelf housing Harry Potter and miscellaneous items. And my second shoe shelf for flats.
2 rare Harry Potter books and my favorite clock
The little corner I "styled" in the living room - aka there wasn't room for these in my bedroom

Happy Friday! I'm excited for the weekend to begin, I have lots of fun things planned.  Meeting up with some friends, shopping and going to my Aunt's house for a sleepover (to watch The Hobbit and get a massage! Woo!) My first week at my new place of residence has been lovely, except for the two gross spiders in my room. My commute still takes the same amount of time but somehow it's easier even though I have to drive for 25 minutes in traffic to get to the train instead of 8 minutes.

Also, I think I am doomed to be single forever.  I cannot handle myself around boys (or people in general for that matter.) Get ready for the most boring/pointless story ever that has me very depressed:
So yesterday on my ride to NYC I sat behind a boy on the train and thought nothing of it.  When we were pulling into Grand Central he stood up and hit his head on the suitcase rack thing and of course I laughed to myself (don't worry, he didn't notice.)  Then as people were leaving the train he dropped his metro card and everyone was just stepping over it so he couldn't get it. So when I got there I picked it up for him and gave it back.  He said "Thanks so much!" and I said "You're welcome" with my cute smile (aka not really) and left the train.

I was walking pretty quickly and weaving in and out of people and all of a sudden he was next to me again and said "I just wanted to thank you again! Most people would have just walked right over it and I never would have gotten it back." All I could muster was "No problem! *smile*" then we were still next to each other for a bit and I could tell he wanted to say something else but I wasn't really looking at him (because I'm shy and awkward)...then we turned different ways.... It was the PERFECT Meet Cute and I ruined it!

Also, here's some exciting news for you anglophiles/Kate Middleton lovers out there. This coming Monday, April 29th, the Issa silk-jersey wrap-effect dress Kate wore in her engagement photo with Prince William will be available at THE OUTNET.COM!  The dress retailed for $535, but they will be selling it for $287.50!
Uniforms. We all have one whether it is noticeable or not. Mine is jeans + sweater + shoes [Update: As Emily pointed out, I should probably add blazer into that mix, haha. It's either a sweater or blazer...sometimes both.]  There are endless combinations and it will always look different. But when I don't know what to wear or am too tired to pick an outfit it is the perfect thing to throw on.  As you can see with the last two photos this look can be transformed just by changing the shoes.  If you work in a more casual or creative work environment you can also wear this combo to the office (as I frequently do.) What's your uniform?

Sweater: Madewell (Shopbop), Jeans: Target,  Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs c/o Sunglasses Shop, , Necklace: Marc Jacobs c/o Shop It To Me, Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), (Heels: Dolce & Gabbana (Uptown Consignment))

Here's part 2 of my details post from last Monday.  So many gorgeous bags, right?! Oh to be rich and have the ability to change bags every day.  Photos from Jak & Jil.

I wore this to go to the Chowder Pot with my best friend (and ex-roomie, sad...but it's not like we'll never see each other again.)  It's time to start breaking out my bright pink jeans again, I'm normally not a pink girl, but I like these. The lovely thing about my new place is I now have a much better backdrop for photos! Score! This actually isn't the first time I've used this place for photos, I shot here on Thanksgiving because there was no one living in the house at that time.

I'm finally revealing my "secret," I moved this past weekend. I'm now living with my 2 cousins (boys...that should be interesting.)  The best part? Our amazing backyard!  The house is also right next to my Grandmother's house, down the street from my Aunt and a mile away from my parents.  Can you tell I like my family?

I've always admired this house because of the brook and forest as a backyard, and now thanks to my cousin buying it I get to enjoy it for a while. It's so nice falling asleep to the sound of the water rushing by.

I hope everyone had a wonderful week, I'm enjoying the fact that it is sunny when I'm going to work at 6:30 am and coming home at 6:30pm. Love Spring!  The only bad thing is the frequent rain storms that we see during Springtime, but they bring the flowers so it's okay by me.  This is going to be another busy weekend and I promise I'll tell you why next week, I just like the suspense, ha ha.  Even though it's not very exciting.

Looks like I was in a dress/skirts mood this week...with the exception of Thursday.  I really wish I wore them more often but it's just so awkward wearing them on the train.  I should just suck it up more, we'll see how that goes.

Also, make sure you enter the Epiphany Chocolates giveaway! Who doesn't want chocolate?!

Mother's Day is quickly approaching so it's time to start thinking about what to get your favorite Mother to celebrate the day. A great choice is Epiphany Chocolates new Pretty in Paisley collection! This collection includes 18 pieces of our fudge and caramel favorites in a beautifully decorated box. At last, all of our luscious ladies in one pretty paisley package: Party Girl (Cake Batter Fudge), Grande Diva (Dark Chocolate Fudge), Queen B (Butter Toffee Fudge), Golden Girl (Butterscotch Caramel), Sweet Carolime (Key Lime Fudge), Lady Smith (Apple Caramel), Holly Woods (Cashew Sea Salt Caramel), The Empress (Maple Walnut Fudge), and Sweet P (Butter Pecan).

I was so excited when my sample collection arrived.  The box has a paisley pattern and then is wrapped with a yellow ribbon and a daisy, so adorable!  I shared the chocolates with my family and we loved them all. My favorite was the 'Grande Diva', I'm mostly a classic chocolate girl.  My mom loved 'Queen Bee' and my Dad liked 'Sweet Caroline.'

I always love seeing detail shots from outfits. Most of the time it is the accessories in your outfit that really pull together the look.  I'm not the best at accessorizing, but I know a good look when I see it. Here are some great details shots from Jak & Jil. Stay tuned for part 2.

The first part of this week was so lovely! The sun was shining and it was nice and warm, Tuesday it was in the low 80s! Sadly Wednesday night and Thursday were gross and rainy-ish.  I'm going to have quite a busy weekend, but I won't tell you why yet...it's nothing exciting. Just something I'll mention eventually.
