My next "challenge" for Marshalls Project Fab is Date Night. I won't be going on an actual date, but I think a blogger date with Lydia and Christine is much better. This past weekend I headed to my local Marshalls to find an outfit for the evening! Enjoy a photo diary of the morning.
Step 1: Scour the store for items that jump out at me. Then head to the dressing room to eliminate. Here was my final group for round 1. (the sweater wasn't for date night, I just had to have it)
Step 2: Look for items that go with the pieces I ended up with. Go back to the dressing room and try on the looks. Some will work, some won't. Repeat as necessary.
Step 3: Choose your final look. I ended up choosing between these two. Instead of buying my accessories at Marshalls I decided to style the looks with already owned pieces. Check back next week to see which I chose!
* Disclosure: I have received free products or value from Marshalls or The TJX Companies, Inc. in connection with my affiliation with Marshalls Project FAB.

It's funny how outfits work, while putting this look together I wasn't even thinking about where the pieces came from. Later I realized that the majority of my items came from Marshalls. Definitely a one stop shop for great looks! On this day I wore one of the pieces I acquired from Lydia's closet clean out - this cute vest!
Sweater: French Connection (Marshalls), Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Vest: from Lydia, Heels: White Mountain c/o Marshalls, Bag: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (gift), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage & Mom's

Ask and you shall receive! Lauren commented on my last This Week in Fashion post saying that one of my outfits deserved a full outfit post. I agreed and happily obliged!
I always feel so good when I wear this blazer. I hunted on eBay for months to find it in 2005 after Emma Watson wore it. I finally found it that Christmas and then last year I had to find another one because I grew out of the original. I still have the first one for sentimental reasons (it was my first designer buy) and because I can wear it as a 3/4 sleeve. I'm liking this monochromatic look. It makes me want to buy more black pieces so I can do it more often. Or perhaps I should just get a lot more purple and maroon clothes to do that.

Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Blazer: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay), Skirt: Siena Style (Coco's $10 sale), Heels: Dolce & Gabanna (Uptown Consignment), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage & Mom's

Happy Friday! It has gotten quite chilly over the past week, we even had some snow on Tuesday morning. Pretty soon I'm going to have to start wearing my real coat. As you can see I repeated my outfit from Saturday, but no one at work had seen it so I figured why not! I also stayed true to my word (from yesterday) and wore a couple skirts this week!
I'm looking forward to this weekend. Tonight I'm headed to my aunts for a massage and sleepover in exchange for helping her with her website. Then I'll probably head to Marshalls at some point to shop for my next Project Fab posts! Super excited for these upcoming ones!
