Since you're here reading my blog I must assume you love fashion. So one of our main questions every time a holiday rolls around is: WHAT DO I WEAR!? Today I'm sharing two different Thanksgiving outfits for inspiration. One is for those of you that get more dressed up on the day. The second is for ladies who go more casual (or, if you're like me, an outfit to wear after you've stuffed yourself with turkey.)
Outfit 1: Dressy
Skirt: Burberry Prorsum (on sale at The Outnet!), Top: Isabel Marant, Heels: Alexander Wang (on sale at The Outnet!), Earrings: Lauren Wolf Jewelry, and throw on a blazer or sweater
Outfit 2: Casual
Sweater: Suno, Jeans: Frame Denim, Pants: J Brand (on sale at The Outnet!), Pumps: Jean-Michel Cazabat, Earrings: Alexis Bittar, Bracelet: Alexis Bittar
And here are a couple of my past Thanksgiving outfits.

This past Saturday I had a date night with Christine and Lydia thanks to Marshalls! They sent a gift card to a local restaurant, Outriggers, and a gift card to buy an outfit! I went shopping a couple weekends ago and narrowed it down to two outfits - see the shopping post here. On the actual day I decided to go with my leather skirt option...sans tights. It was a little cold, but definitely worth it for my fun look!
We started off our date by going to the restaurant to take photos before it got too dark. Then we headed to Marshalls which was only 2 minutes from the restaurant to do some shopping. I picked up a fun Christmas bowl, rice cooker and another little bowl while Lydia did some of her Christmas gift shopping! Then we headed back to the restaurant for our meal, which was delicious!
My two lovely dates for the evening:
Kenar Sweater - $24.99 at Marshalls, compare at $50
Sans Souchi Skirt - $12.99 at Marshalls, compare at $18
Other items: Miu Miu sandals (eBay), Chanel purse, Skagen watch (Rue La La), vintage & Mom's rings, Gorjana Griffin necklace (c/o), Acanthus 'Gemma' necklace (giveaway), old necklace and coat from Lydia
* Disclosure: I have received free products or value from Marshalls or The TJX Companies, Inc. in connection with my affiliation with Marshalls Project FAB.

Less than a week until Thanksgiving! But there are 2 other things to be excited about for next week. Number 1 - a short work week! YAY! Number 2, my favorite, getting our Christmas Tree on Friday! But let's not get ahead of ourselves. First: the weekend! This weekend I'll be having date night with Christine and Lydia thanks to Marshalls Project Fab! Then Sunday I will relax and hang out with the family at Grandma's.
This week I FINALLY got to debut my crazy velvet Balenciaga pants I got for $30 (I know!) at Roundabout Resale in Westport. I always find the best pieces there. Case in point: my Lanvin heels from Thursday. Always get so many compliments on them and I paid a measly $80. Okay...that is technically a lot, but not compared to the $900 price tag. My outfits this week are also full of Marshalls and TJ Maxx finds. As you can see I never pay full price for fabulous!

My next "challenge" for Marshalls Project Fab is Date Night. I won't be going on an actual date, but I think a blogger date with Lydia and Christine is much better. This past weekend I headed to my local Marshalls to find an outfit for the evening! Enjoy a photo diary of the morning.
Step 1: Scour the store for items that jump out at me. Then head to the dressing room to eliminate. Here was my final group for round 1. (the sweater wasn't for date night, I just had to have it)
Step 2: Look for items that go with the pieces I ended up with. Go back to the dressing room and try on the looks. Some will work, some won't. Repeat as necessary.
Step 3: Choose your final look. I ended up choosing between these two. Instead of buying my accessories at Marshalls I decided to style the looks with already owned pieces. Check back next week to see which I chose!

It's funny how outfits work, while putting this look together I wasn't even thinking about where the pieces came from. Later I realized that the majority of my items came from Marshalls. Definitely a one stop shop for great looks! On this day I wore one of the pieces I acquired from Lydia's closet clean out - this cute vest!
Sweater: French Connection (Marshalls), Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Vest: from Lydia, Heels: White Mountain c/o Marshalls, Bag: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (gift), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage & Mom's
