Monday it was back to the office after 2 glorious weeks working from home. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy going to the office and getting dressed. But when I get 3 extra hours sleep and don't have to do my 5 hour round trip commute I am just so much more bright and happy. It also helps that I don't have to go to bed at 10pm like an old lady. But it was back to business this week.

I discovered a great brand a few weeks ago through work and have been meaning to post about it for a while. It's called Maison Jules and is inspired by iconic Parisian street style, a collection of classic pieces with a modern twist. The line is sold at Macy's stores and is pretty affordable, though some pieces are over $100. Below are some of my favorite pieces (click the image to shop):
Here I am in my one clothing item I got for Christmas. Unless you count a Harry Potter shirt I got, can't go a single Christmas without a Potter gift now can I? (I did get this blazer too, unfortunately it didn't look good on me.) I've had my eye on this coat for a while and luckily it went on sale just in time for Christmas. I emailed my mom a few days before Christmas to let her know it went on sale just in case she had gotten it from my list and wanted to get an adjustment. That's just the kind of gal I am, always looking for a deal, even with other people's money.

How adorable is this Fifi Lapin print iPhone case that Iconemesis sent over? The design features the adorable Fifi Lapin, the fashion bunny! Iconemesis works with artists to produce unique and fashionable iPhone cases. This case is really light but quite durable in the short amount of time I've been using it. I "dropped" it a couple times on the carpet and the case stayed firmly in place, exactly what you'd want. I didn't try that on a hardwood floor, I'm not crazy. I'm used to much larger phone cases (hello, I usually have an owl with ears and wings on my phone) so this was a nice change. It's sleek and thin and doesn't get in the way of what the phone was made for.

I have a nice backlog of outfit posts going for me, we'll see how long that lasts. Anywhoo, I wore this the weekend before Christmas to go see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug with my best friend. So good! People always expect me to say Harry Potter movies are my favorite, but it's actually the magical land of Middle Earth that holds my heart in films. (in books, however, it's Potter all the way.)
It was on the warmer side this day so I decided to forgo a coat and wore a sweater with a blazer. And I had to wear my new favorite shoes even though there was rain in the forecast. Luckily the rain didn't come until I had made it home. I did have a backup pair of shoes in the car ready for action.
