Ahh Friday, my second favorite day of the week. Saturday is obviously my favorite because you don't have to worry about anything: no work the next day, you can do anything you want during the day and stay up late. Sunday is okay, but like Meg Ryan says in Kate & Leopold, it gets spoiled because you know you have to go to work Monday. I've got quite a large amount planned for this long weekend. Probably starting with a trip to Marhsalls on Saturday, then going to a fun gemstone place with my sister, and on Sunday getting my nails done with my best friends and we will probably go out to eat and see Frozen after.
Right when I get back into the groove of going back to the office 4 days a week I have a crazy week ahead of me. Next Monday the office is closed, I'm going in on Tuesday, then Wednesday I'm working at home and then I'm off Thursday - Monday for my trip to Florida. I'm headed to the Harry Potter Celebration weekend they're having at Universal. My sister and I planned to go months ago and bought our tickets and then earlier this week Universal emailed me asking if I would like to cover the event for my site, magical-menagerie.com, score!

If I lived in London I think I would live at Harrods. In the two times I went there I could have spent pretty much all day in that store (maybe even a week). Like they say in the Parent Trap, you could get lost in there. I was checking out their website the other day and came across a ton of great pieces by Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, two of my favorite designers. Luckily I own one piece by each of them (well, McQ by Alexander McQueen), but would love to add any of these to my wardrobe. What are you craving at the moment?
Stella McCartney: I am just loving all the neutral colors and animal prints. Any of this could fit seamlessly into my wardrobe. DYING over the shoes, aren't they perfection!?
Alexander McQueen: These pieces are mostly my "dream life" wardrobe. If I had unlimited money and went to tons of parties, this is what I would wear.
* Disclosure: This is a PR collaboration, I was paid for the post, but all opinions are my own.

Oh look, it's my new necklace again. Told you I didn't want to take it off! I wore this on an unseasonably warm day, but that still called for double sweaters. Hopefully you aren't getting sick of these Burberry loafers, you'll be seeing them for quite some time. Definitely one of my favorite buys last year, as is this Everlane cashmere sweater!

My favorite things posts are usually reserved for clothing or accessories. But today I thought it was fitting to share one of my favorite stores, Roundabout Resale. Roundabout opened in Westport, CT in 1989 and expanded to New York City in 2008 and currently have two stores there. They recently announced they will be opening a third store in New York City this March. Information on the store is as follows:
And a gorgeous Tracy Reese dress that is waiting for the right occasion. Maybe my cousins wedding this Summer, but there is the slight problem of it being white-ish. But I think it's far enough from a pure white dress that it will work.
And here is some more basic information on Roundabout for those of you who are interested:

Roundabout, New York's leading purveyor of luxury resale and discount couture, is pleased to announce the Spring 2014 opening of a second Upper East Side location at 1100 Madison Avenue (between 82nd and 83rd Streets) having acquired the lease of the space currently occupied by Lumas gallery.I have gotten some of my favorite pieces from Roundabout at amazing prices. I mainly wait for their sales but sometimes I go in and just can't resist splurging on a one of a kind item. Below are some of my favorite buys:
Chloé boots, Cashmere cape, Etro blazer, Manolo Blahnik pumps, Chanel blazer, Chanel skirt,
Cordani boots, Rebecca Taylor dress, Lanvin pumps, Balenciaga pants

Owners Laurie and Richard Perren created Roundabout 25 years ago with the goal of having the best consignment / resale store in the country. With their unique business model they not only offer an amazing selection of pre-owned designer items from America's best closets, but through direct relationships with boutiques, showrooms and designers they are also able to sell current and past season "new" items at a discount of up to 70% off original retail. From cutting edge Alaia to classic Chanel, Roundabout is able to stock the finest labels in fashion at incredible prices.
By providing customers with a similar luxury shopping experience as neighboring high-end retailers, along with the assurance of impeccable condition and quality, Roundabout is able to obtain a higher selling price and therefore a higher return to the consignor than the current fad of online resale sites. Roundabout pays 66% of the selling price to consignors of Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton handbags and 50% for all other merchandise.

Another day, another outfit, another blazer. I do love my blazers, definitely an addiction. Whenever I see a new one I want to buy it, most of the time I resist. A couple weeks ago I inherited this gorgeous topaz and diamond necklace from my Grandmother and I never want to take it off. It is so gorgeous and makes me feel like I always have her with me. I can visit her whenever I want since she lives next door, but it's fun to have a piece she used to wear.
I'm still getting used to my short hair so, for this outing, I tried a mini french braid in front to keep the shorter hairs out of my face. I find it easier than using a barrette, I can never get them to stay properly. BUT then when I take it out I have crazy kinky hair. Funny that I used to WANT my hair to look like that back when I was in middle school. It was all the rage! So for gymnastics I would french braid my hair, and then take it out for school the next day.
Blazer: Gap (Coco's), Sweater: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Jeans: Michael by Michael Kors (Marshalls), Flats c/o Joie, Topaz Necklace: Grandma's, "M" Necklace c/o Gorjana Griffin, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's
