As many of my regular readers will know, I am very into muted colors, nothing too bright. I have two "neon" sweaters in my closet; this one and a green v-neck. Sometimes I just want to blind people with color! On this day I decided to tone it down a bit by pairing it with a grey vest.

Sweater: Madewell (Shopbop), Faux Fur Vest: Ella Moss (Marshalls), Jeans: Free People, Boots:  Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt), Clutch c/o Soul Foundation 'Mulungi Collection', Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Henry Dinky' (Gilt)

Another attempt to stay warm but not wear jeans! I paired my Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress with my new sweater. The color of the sweater perfectly matched one of the colors in the print on the dress - score! Originally I was going to wear flat boots with this look but it made me look a little dumpy, the heeled boots solved that problem.  I also tried the outfit belted to add some definition, not sure how successful it was, but that's why we experiment! (hence why there are a lot of pictures from the same angles, to show the difference)

Dress: Diane von Furstenberg 'Zaina' (Coco's, more on ebay), Sweater: Cocogio (gift), Boots: Cordani (Roundabout Resale), Necklaces: BubuRuby & Isabella M (gift from Lydia), Rings: moms, vintage, Brilliant Imports & Marc by Marc Jacobs (TJ Maxx)

We had our first real accumulation of snow last week, apart from the snow at the Christmas Tree farm in November and a few flurries, so I had to take some pictures before shoveling it off the driveway. (That's a lie, my cousin did it, ha ha) I decided to wear my Weasley sweater from Universal Studios and pretend I was at Hogwarts with Harry and the gang! I also double layered, leggings under my jeans and a turtleneck under the sweater. Plus some knee high socks bunched up over my jeans. Nice and toasty!

Ron Weasley Sweater: Universal Studios / WB Studio Tour London, Turtleneck: French Connection (Marshalls), Jeans: Rag & Bone (Shopbop), Boots: Grandma's, Hat & Gloves: old

It is getting so cold out there! I was getting tired of just wearing jeans and sweaters so I decided to switch things up a bit and wear a skirt and blazer.  The skirt and blazer are both velvet, but the blazer is a dark olive green and the skirt is a muted purple. I often forget to wear my blazers because they are in a closet that's not in my room...the perils of having a teeny tiny room!

Top: French Connection c/o Marshalls, Blazer: The Extreme Collection (Second Time Around), Skirt: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Boots: vintage (eBay), Necklace: Francesca's, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Tights: Simply Vera Wang (Kohl's)

Say hello to my newest closet addition - a DKNY oversized cardigan! This was my one purchase from Net-a-Porter's End of Season sale! I was good and resisted the temptation of higher priced items. While I did spend $94 on it, I think it will last me quite a while as it contains colors I wear all the time. I ordered it last Monday, and it arrived on Tuesday. Yes, folks, a little over 24 hours later! I do love Net-a-Porter's quick shipping! And my new Chanel 'Orage' nail polish was a perfect match for the blue! I love when outfits come together perfectly like this.

Cardigan: DKNY (Net-a-Porter Sale),  Sweater: Everlane, Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Boots: Alexander Wang (The Outnet), Necklace: Indulgems (Gilt)
