Follow Me
Well today is my Mom's birthday but yesterday we had an early celebration of mine which is on Tuesday.  We had some cake and I opened a few presents.  My sister got me a ring and necklace.
My mom and dad gave me a couple Christmas decorations that I've had my eye on since last year (my mom actually bought one of them last year in the after Christmas sales and hid it from me, ha ha).  I'll show you those later.  My mom and I also went shopping for some clothes but sadly I found NOTHING...it was a total bust.  I did find some cute flats at DSW though.
I think my problem is I can't properly shop when I know someone else is going to pay for it, I just feel so bad that I make myself hate everything I see.  Oh well, I don't really mind not finding things, it saved my mom some money, ha ha.

In closing, look at this cute card from my parents:
UPDATE: The Outnet is having an awesome sale this weekend! Get 20% off EVERYTHING with the code SHARELOVE20! Get shopping!!! I may be bad and get myself the Alexander Wang Freja Booties as a birthday gift to myself...

This week was full up ups and downs. The weather was pretty nice and work was okay, so far, let's hope nothing goes wrong today.  This Sunday is my mom's birthday so I'll probably be heading home in the morning for a full day of family fun, which I love ;) On Saturday I will probably just relax and watch some movies. What is your weekend looking like?

On the other hand we lost one of the best visionaries the world has ever known, Steve Jobs.  Without him we wouldn't have Apple, Pixar and countless other things.  I don't want to go on too much about it because I'm pretty upset about it so I'll end with this quote:
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.” [Stanford commencement speech, June 2005]

Here is my outfit from yesterday, it was SO nice outside, I was going to go for a walk after dinner but then it got too dark...so depressing. I wanted to call this post Plum Seduction, but this outfit (and I) am not exactly seductive so that wouldn't have worked. Anywayyyy, this is the first time I've worn this cardigan that I got from ShopBop with a gift card I won in August.  I am glad I can finally start wearing these Michael Kors pants more often too, I've only worn them twice since I got them at the end of July, they were too fall-ish.

I had some difficulty with my jumping shots, none of them were coming out sharp enough...very sad, but lucky for you guys I'll be posting some bloopers on Facebook soon! ;)

You all know how much I love Harry Potter and Emma Watson [duh I run a HP Fan Site], but I hardly ever post photos of her, so sad! But that changes today, I am so in love with the shoot she did for Elle France.   She looks so pretty and edgy, its definitely one of my favorite shoots with her.  The shot where she is sideways is AMAZING, the movement is so cool.

Sadly this is only the second time I have worn this Valentino jacket.  There are 2 reasons... 1. It is too big so I feel weird and 2. It is REALLY nice and I don't want to ruin it.  For those of you that don't know I got this jacket for $2 at The Outnet's 2nd birthday sale!  Also, I am SO in love with these jeans, I know I already said that in another post but it has to be said again.

It was 6pm when I took these pictures so they aren't the best quality since I was losing light, grr! And sorry for the photo overload, as usual...

[UPDATE: I don't want to get the jacket altered because it's to intricate and I'm deathly afraid they will ruin it, AND I've never been to a tailer before because I'm scared of people :p I may seem outgoing on the blog but in real life I am afraid of everything, I have social phobia]
Last month I was sent a couple lookbooks from We Are Handsome.  I have always been a fan of this brand because it is so cool and unique! I love how they use photographs as their prints and aren't afraid to be bold.  I would kill to own one of the one piece swimsuits. The following are my favorite prints and pieces from the current lookbooks; Vintage and Memoirs. Which are your favorites? Mine are the wolf, owl, bear and 'the garden.'

Here's a quick non-fashion post for today. I wasn't going to post anything today but I figured, why not?!  Anywayyyy...last night I decided to try out a new recipe for dinner, Grilled Apple Chicken!  Here are some fun pictures I took while making it:
I also made Roasted Garlic and Olive Oil couscous by Near East (aka it's a box mix).
Here is the finished product! I had a Gala apple with my meal, ha ha.
And here is the aftermath....UGH! It took FOREVER to clean the grill and it was disgusting and still dirty, though not this bad...I need to try again later...
Okay, so this was a bad month, I went shopping in NYC on the 3rd with Jamie-Lee and I gave myself a set amount I could spend without feeling guilty but, of course, I couldn't find anything. So I decided to let myself be bad the Sunday and Monday after instead and bought a few things that I'm not counting in my spending:
I also got a Marc by Marc Jacobs sweater from Gilt Groupe because when our intern left he sent me a gift card! (YAY for Paul!) BUT sadly it was too big and they didn't have a small for me to exchange so no more sweater...

I was also VERY bad and bought stuff from the Missoni for Target collection, but how can you pass up Missoni for under $60?! But sadly everything I bought was too big for me so I had to return it all except for a pair of flats for $30.

I have been doing this spending challenge for a full year now and I think it is time for me to stop doing my monthly recaps. [unless you guys still want me to] I think I have learned to curb my spending and only buy what will go to good use so I am also lifting the unspoken no shopping rule, but I will continue to watch what I buy and be careful with my spending.
