I've been "needing" a nice brown basic sweater for quite some time so when I found this August Silk sweater while out birthday shopping with my Mom it was perfect! It's a bit of a looser fit so for it's first outing I wore it with my lace skirt, since the weather is a little warmer.  I can't wait to wear it with skinny jeans and heels/booties!

Sweater: August Silk (Marshalls), Skirt: Made by Mom, Loafers c/o Joie, Sunglasses: Cole Haan c/o Marshalls, Necklace: House of Harlow (South Moon Under), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Net-a-Porter)

Luxe Me Now gifted these slippers for my review, all opinions are my own.

As many of you may know, I work from home full time now after commuting to New York City for over a year and a half (thanks to my kind employers who took pity on the girl commuting for 4 hours a day.)  Since I work from home I spend a lot of time in pajamas. I know, I know, I'm a blogger I should get dressed! I do try to get dressed most days, but sometimes I just want to stay super comfortable in my pjs, albeit luxurious ones.
Ever since Luxe Me Now sent over a pair of their new slippers I've been spending all day in them! Their designs include stripes, fringes and even leopard prints so there's a style for everyone. Their first collection "The European Collection" launched for Holiday 2013 and was sold at Saks! Their "Second Collection" is currently available on their website and on Saks Fifth Avenue.

The slippers can be worn both indoors/outdoors and have a water-resistant embossed rubber outsole with ridges for traction. All their shoes also have a 1-inch wedge heel and a satin-lined quilted Memory Foam Foot-bed for added comfort! Now that is luxury for your feet! The style I'm wearing is the "Fringe with Benefits."

It's almost time to start thinking about holiday shopping, and these are the perfect gift for any of your friends/mothers/girlfriends who deserve a luxurious treat that will keep them feeling special long after the holiday season is over. Whenever they slip these comfortable babies on their feet they'll think of you!

Say hello to one of my birthday presents: a Tory Burch "Brady" cardigan! A couple weekends ago my mom took my sister and I out birthday shopping. We went to Marshalls (two locations) and TJ Maxx! This was one of our TJ Maxx finds, they had a few other Tory Burch pieces but this one was calling my name. I always love Tory's clothes but this is the first piece I've ever owned! FINALLY! Sadly her regular prices are just too much for me.

The sweater perfectly matches my thrifted Ferragamo skirt, how convenient. Sadly the skirt doesn't get much wear because I find it a little hard to style. But at only $10 it was worth it. See how I wore it here and here.

Cardigan: Tory Burch (TJ Maxx), Skirt: Salvatore Ferragamo (Coco's $10 sale), Booties: No.704b. (DSW), Necklace: Indulgems (Gilt), Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Gilt), Ring c/o Kendra Scott,

Ever since I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (way back in 1999) I wanted a Weasley sweater so I could match Harry, Ron, Fred and George! Back in 2008, Entertainment Weekly named the sweater number 7 on their list of 20 Great Pop Culture Sweaters. I learned to knit so I could make my own house scarves, but sadly sweaters were a little out of my league. But last year Warner Bros. finally started selling replicas of the famed sweaters to satisfy my 15 year wish. You can buy Ron or Harry at their theme parks or the London Studio Tour! For this first outfit I went basic with jeans, but I might try to make it more stylish with a leather skirt or something soon.

I bought this on my last trip to Universal at the end of July. I had wanted to buy it when I visited in January and June but they weren't selling them until the Diagon Alley expansion opened. I've been there more this year than I've been to Florida in my entire life. I've only been 4 times, 3 have been this year.  And I will hopefully be going back next January if I'm invited to their second "Celebration of Harry Potter." (which I should be...) Harry Potter sure gets me to go places!

Since it was gross outside, I thought it only fitting to take the pictures in front of part of my Harry Potter collection. Sadly most of it is in boxes at my parents house because I don't have enough room for it all, but these are my favorite/most recent acquisitions. I've been collecting for over 10 years so I've amassed quite the collection. I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but pieces from my collection are featured in a book - Harry Potter Collector's Handbook.
