Follow Me
Wearing two things that haven't been getting much wear lately; my crazy boots and super soft oversized blazer. I go through phases and I haven't been wearing my blazers all that much lately, but I still love every single one I own and could never get rid of them. I'm such a hoarder! And these boots are so wild that I sometimes find it hard to wear them. Instead I just need to remember they're a statement and I can wear them with anything because they're so crazy!

Blazer: PBM Women's (Coco's $10 sale), Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater: Vince (Marshalls), Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' in blueberry (The Real Real), Booties: Tabitha Simmons 'Elisa' - also in black - for Runway to Green (Roundabout Resale)

What's one to do with a crazy printed shirt? Pair it with printed shoes, of course! This Saint Laurent patchwork blouse is still one of my favorite pieces. At first I felt a little self conscious while wearing it, even though I loved it, because most people find it strange. But now I take pride in the outlandish print mixing! I wore this to check out Roundabout Resale's winter blowout a couple weeks ago. Luckily I walked out with nothing, but I had to look to see if there was anything I had been hunting for (like a Chloe Faye bag.)

Patchwork Blouse: Saint Laurent (eBay), Jeans: J Brand 811 Photo Ready Mid-Rise Skinny (Gilt), Cardigan: Banana Republic, Printed Loafers: Burberry Prorsum (NET-A-PORTER sale, also here)

Time for another look inspired by fashion week! Here's a nice simple, monochromatic look from Brooks Brothers. I went a little bit lighter than their navy but it's still quite similar. All you need are skinny cords, sweater and cardigan in the same or similar colors. Next find a matching bag and loafers, burgundy in my case. Top it off with a scarf tied at the neck and you're all set!

Funnily enough my bag and shoes are the same designer, bought at years apart, in different thrift stores. The bag was $2 and the shoes $4. Some of my best finds!

Cardigan: Kohl's (old), Sweater: Banjo + Matilda (The Outnet), Corduroy Pants: Abercrombie, Scarf: Jason Wu x Target, Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted), Loafers: Etienne Aigner (thrifted)

I've always enjoyed this color combo. Green and purple make such a great pair but I don't see them put together that often. Forgive the wrinkles on the sweater, didn't have time to iron it, haha! It's finally staying light enough for me to take outfit pictures when I go to my parents for dinner. So much better than having to do multiple outfits over the weekends.

Top: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Sweater: Ami Dans La Rue (Shopbop), Skirt: Old Navy, Booties: No.704b. (DSW), Necklace: BubuRuby (etsy)

The original:
I'm writing this post on Saturday the 25th, so hopefully nothing changes over the next 3 days. I've successfully gone the full month without buying any clothes or accessories!! I had done it a few months last year as well but that always included purchases made with advertising money or gift cards. This month it was absolutely nothing!

I'm currently saving up for a trip to Italy this May , so any money I don't spend on clothes is put away into my vacation Capital One 360 account.  I will attempt to behave in March as well but I am on the hunt for silver shoes for my cousin's wedding in April (I'm in the bridal party.) I also have a gift card to J Crew that's been burning a hole in my pocket for a while.
