Starting very soon I won't be able to buy as many pieces of clothing as I've become accustomed to. So it's a good thing I got a head start this month and didn't add anything new to my closet. And I've gotten this far so I might as well try to give up clothes shopping for Lent this year, right? One month to go!

UPDATE: Okay, I lied. I just got back from a quick lunch break trip to Roundabout because they were having their blowout sale (80% off clothes + shoes and an additional 20% off clearance). I ended up walking out with a $348 Robert Rodriguez dress for $16.80! Still going to try to go through all of March with no buying though.

I wore this over the weekend to do some shopping with my parents. It was almost Spring-like weather so I decided to wear my new Franco Sarto mules before they'll have to go away for a few more weeks once this warm snap disappears. For their first outing I went with a monochromatic blue outfit and threw on a faux fur vest for an extra layer since it was windy.

Sweater: Alice + Olivia (Roundabout), Vest: Simply Vera Wang c/o Kohl's, Corduroys: abercrombie, Suede Mules: Franco Sarto 'Dolly (DSW), Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay)

I wore this over the weekend to go to my cousin's son's birthday party. You may have seen the back of his head on Instagram over the last 2 years (I don't post his face since he's not my child and I think that's inappropriate for me to do.) It was on the warmer side that day so I decided to wear a three quarter statement sleeve. This is only the second time I've worn this top but it's so much fun! I love how bit the sleeves are at the bottom.

Sweater: Context (Lord & Taylor), Jeans: J Brand 'Mid Rise Photo Ready Super Skinny Jean' (Gilt), Boots: vintage (eBay), Necklace: Indulgems (Gilt), Watch: Platform 9 3/4, Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay)

How was this 8 years ago!!? Insane how time flies by, right? My life has changed quite a bit since I wore this, yet I still own everything in this outfit. Back then I was living in another town with my best friend and commuting to New York City for work 4 days a week. Now (after living with my cousins for 4 years) I'm back with my parents, working from home, with exciting things on the horizon. Stay tuned. *wink wink*

Sweater: Inis Crafts (TJ Maxx), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe) gift card, Booties: No.704b. (DSW), Bag: LAUREN Ralph Lauren (Lord & Taylor)

The original:
I wore this a few weeks ago to meet some friends for shopping and dinner. It was a rainy day but not super cold so I was perfectly comfortable in two sweaters. I was so excited about these jeans when I asked for the for Christmas and I've quickly found out I'm not going to want to wear them much in the cooler months because they look funny when I have to wear them with socks and shoes or boots. The looser fit on the jeans is something I'm not that used to so it feels frumpy when I'm all covered. I feel like in the Summer they'll get more wear since I'll be able to wear less on top and show off my toes on the bottom.

Cardigan: Charlotte Russe, Sweater: French Connection (Marshalls), Jeans: Everlane 'Mid-Rise Skinny',  Ballet Flats: Chanel (Roundabout), Necklace: House of Harlow 1960 'Five Station Blackened Arrowhead' (South Moon Under), Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay)

These photos were taken as it was flurrying before I ran out to lunch with one of my bosses (I'm a freelancer so I have multiple bosses.) It was cold, but not super cold so I decided to wear this sweater since it's one of my warmest and I wouldn't need a coat. I love the oversized knit of this Everlane sweater. I have so many of their sweaters on my wish list. PERFECTION.

Sweater: Everlane "The Wool-Cashmere Oversized Cable Turtleneck" in Surplus, Jeans: Free People, Boots: Cordani (Roundabout),  Bag: Emm Kuo 'Calle Bahia' (Roundabout Resale)

The last day of our trip was also the coldest day, so it was a good thing I had this big sweater for when I got home. Our last day was packed, we started off at Animal Kingdom just before 9am, then headed to Epcot around noon and finally Hollywood Studios around 5! We were on a mission and succeeded. Originally I had planned for us to go on the new Avatar ride but we couldn't get a Fast Pass and didn't want to wait three hours so we decided we could use that time at Hollywood Studios to see the new Star Wars A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show instead!

I think my favorite part of the day was seeing the new tiger cubs at Animal Kingdom! We watched them for at least 20 minutes, sooooo adorable! And yes, that is a popcorn bucket hanging from my purse, haha!
