Follow Me
Another successful no shopping month! I'm writing this on Christmas so I may buy something between now and New Years Eve from the Net-a-Porter sale, but we'll see! I only got one piece of clothing for Christmas, a pretty greenish-blue cashmere sweater.

I did a pretty good job this year not buying many new pieces. I spent just under $90 all year - not counting gift cards, advertising money spent ($451) and my Wedding look ($1094 - $206 was ad money and about $600 was for my wedding band). I'd say that's a successful year! Hopefully I can keep it up in 2019 but I miss new clothes so much, ha ha!

Last weekend I wore this to go to Dave & Busters with my siblings and their significant others. I had a gift card as a thanks for doing a giveaway with them a couple months ago and decided to share the wealth with everyone so we could have some fun. We were brave to go to the Connecticut Post Mall the weekend before Christmas but luckily Dave & Busters wasn't TOOO crowded because we went right when they opened.

Jacket c/o Joules, Sweater: FRAME Ribbed wool & cashmere-blend (Net-a-Porter), Corduroy Pants: Abercrombie, Flats: Chanel Two-Tone Ballet Flat (eBay), Merces Petite Bag c/o Orox Leather Co.,

I wore this for my family's early Christmas celebration on the 21st. We had to do it extra early this year because I came to Missouri to celebrate Christmas with Christian's family. My first Christmas EVER not at home, so weird! I haven't worn this dress in a while and decided to give it some love.

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Dancing Lights' dress, Heels: Coach 'Nacie' (Marshalls), Necklace: House of Harlow 'Sunburst' (from Lydia)

I finally crossed two places off my bucket list this past weekend when I went to visit my youngest brother. He lives close to Mystic, in Connecticut, so we went to Mystic Pizza! I'm not a huge fan of the movie (I know, I know) but I do enjoy good pizza and this was AMAZING. Christian and I shared the Texas Chicken Pizza and it was so good! We also had some of their fries, which he said were some of the best fries he's ever had.

Next on the agenda was Sift Bake Shop! Christian and I love watching all of the seasonal baking competitions on Food Network - Holiday Baking Championship, Spring, Kids, etc. One season a man from Mystic, Adam Young, was on Spring Baking! He made it to the final three that season and also went on to win Best Baker in America on Food Network. He was known for his beautifully made desserts and the ones in his bakery look like they could be on TV. I wish I could have tried everything but settled on the chocolate hazelnut praline and chocolate raspberry torte. Both were delicious!

Jacket: thrifted, Double V-Neck Cashmere Sweater: Calypso St. Barth 'Gylden' (Gilt), High Waisted Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' High Rise in Supreme (Gilt Groupe),  Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW), Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay)

On Monday Lydia and I met up for our annual Christmas lunch. This year we went back to one of our old favorites - The Chowder Pot. This used to be our main meet-up spot. We'd eat lunch, take photos in Branford's town center, and do some thrifting at her local spots. The Chowder Pot is one of my favorite restaurants, they have the BEST honey butter bread, I made sure to bring one home so Christian could enjoy it. I've been going there with my family since I was young, I always recommend it because it never disappoints.  It was also a favorite haunt of my friend Hayley and I when we lived together.  She was a bit jealous when she found out I went without her, oopsie!

Sweater: Everlane "The Wool-Cashmere Square Crew" in Crimson , Jeans: Genetic Denim 'Shya' in Aztec c/o Piperlime, Boots: Miu Miu (Roundabout), Bag: Emm Kuo 'Calle Bahia' (Roundabout), Necklace: Madewell Stonework Drop Necklace

I can't believe we're a week away from Christmas already! I've been wearing all my holiday and red sweaters lately to keep in the spirit! We had a pretty dreary weekend so this sweater helped to brighten things up.

Sweater: Madewell 'Wallace' (Shobop), Jeans: Free People 'Jax' patched skinny, Loafers: Burberry Prorsum animal-print calf hair slipper (Net-a-Porter), Necklace c/o oNecklace
