I wore this a couple weekends ago to a blogger Happy Hour at Fork & Fire in Farmington, CT. They have recently changed their name from 4Eat&Drink but is still owned and run by the same team. Manager Jesse explain the appetizer options while Danny made us delicious cocktails. I tried the Spring Blossom which features gin and strawberry.  I particularly enjoyed the BLT Flatbread, wings and pita chips. What can I say, I’m a simple gal who loves her bread.

The event was super fun and we were the only ones in the restaurant so we were free to do crazy blogger things like rearrange tables to get the best shot of the food. So much easier than when you have other restaurant goers disturbed by photo taking; or just staring because they're confused.

I wore my fun firework print Marc Jacobs dress for the occasion and Lydia and I stopped by a local historical society afterward for photos.

P.S. You may also notice some weird circles on my back. I was going to photoshop them out but was too lazy. I went to my Aunt's for a massage before the event and had her do some cupping because my back was hurting more than usual that day. Cupping makes it feel so much better! IF you're in the Wethersfield area be sure to check her out for massage, cupping and energy work! (We're currently revamping her site because this one was made way back when I was in college in 2009.)

A simple outfit for a warm day. I wore this to go grocery shopping so I didn't want to wear shorts - hello freezer section.  I haven't been wearing this pair of jeans much for some reason so I decided it was time to take them out for a spin. I wore them with one of my favorite Summer sweaters - a bit of an oxymoron but this is a tank sweater and it's perfect for hot days. I'm really liking the blue, black and brown combo; who says you can't wear them together?!

I've shared the story a few times before, but my late Grandmother (Dad's mom) made this sweater and 3 others for my Mom and her other daughters a long time ago - decades probably. My Mom actually asked for a second one in another color because she loved it so much. She passed it on to me in 2012 and it's been a Summer staple since then.

Sweater Tank: Knitted by Grandma, Jeans: Jeans: Everlane 'Mid-Rise Skinny Jean' in Black, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini) Merces Petite Bag c/o Orox Leather Co., Sunglasses: Gucci

Wearing my second new purchase of June, these linen pants I bought the same day as my Splendid shorts. I liked these because they aren't as tight as most of my other pants so I can wear them on warmer days. I still have to get used to the pleats/bulkier waist area but overall I like them! Next time I'll wear them with a tighter fitting top, this Ralph Lauren sweater is a little too oversized for them I think. I actually found the sweater on eBay, a first for me since whenever I wear it on the blog I can't find it to share! And one is actually my size so I'm tempted to get it....but I'll stick with my 2 sizes too big one.

Sweater: Ralph Lauren (GoodWill), Pants: AG Jeans 'The Evan' pleated linen pant (Marshalls), Sandals: Lanvin studded suede 'City' sandal (Net-a-Porter Sale), Sunglasses: Gucci,

Welp, I had a bad month. I went to Marshall's with my mom intending to just buy a new set of dishes - which I did - and walked out with a new pair of pants and shorts. But I've been wanting more think pants for Summer and another pair of shorts to add to my rotation. Both are linen/tencel blends and super soft!

I wore this a few weeks ago to attend a blogger dinner at Eli's Tavern in Milford. I didn't want to wear jeans so I decided to wear my fun Proenza Schouler printed pants! I love these but I always style them the same way, black on top and some sort of heel. I think next time I'll pair them with my knitted tank sweater and some flats for a more dressed down look! And, although this outfit has lots of designer pieces, they were bought resale or on discount. The only full price item here are my sunglasses which were a vacation splurge.

Lydia and I tried multiple locations for these photos before the dinner so you get a mix of backgrounds to enjoy, ha ha.

Here are some photos from Eli's. If you go the Gypsy Chicken is reaaaally good!!

Quick post today! Sometimes all you need is a dress and you're good to go. Such is the case with this black floral shirt dress! No accessories apart from shoes and a bag required! I wore this to take my dad out to lunch for Father's Day. We were able to eat outside because it was a beautiful day! Since then, unfortunately, it has been gross and rainy! Hoping it clears up because I'm going camping in Vermont this weekend.

Floral Shirt Dress: Who What Wear x Target, Suede Mules: BCBGeneration 'Beverly' c/o Clinton Crossing, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Natural Selection Mini Messenger Bag' (Saks Fifth Avenue), Sunglasses: Gucci

This outfit is full of super soft pieces. These jeans are really soft and not too tight so they're great on warmer days. And this t-shirt I splurged on a few years ago is UUUUUUUBER soft and thin. The only issue with this tee is it's so thin I feel like I have to wear something under it. So for this look I wore a bodysuit underneath that kind of peeks out around the neck, not the chicest solution, but it worked. Everything in this outfit was also bought on discount which shows you don't have to pay full price to dress in all designer clothes.

Tee: Vince (The Outnet),  Jeans: IRO "Faxy Cropped Jean" (Gilt c/o Wikibuy), Sandals: Lanvin studded suede 'City' sandal (Net-a-Porter Sale), Sunglasses: Chanel
