Random fact about me: I LOVE Little House on the Prairie.  I finally watched the series a couple years ago (after reading the books when I was young) and instantly fell in love. It's funny, cute and also dramatic.  Plus, I also wouldn't mind living in that time, yes, even without computers and phones. The star of the show, Melissa Gilbert, basically grew up on screen and in the 80s had a really great sense of style.  Below are some of her looks, unfortunately a lot have watermarks.

P.S. Not saying all the outfits are good or that I'd wear them, but she can pull them all off. :)

About Closet Fashionista

Loves to get bargains on clothes and is obsessed with Harry Potter and Disney. By day she is a freelance graphic and web designer. She also has a slight obsession with movies.

You can also find her on the web at her Harry Potter and Matthew Lewis fan sites.

  1. She definitely took some style risks!
I was always a fan of the books, but never got into the tv show.
    Chic on the Cheap

  2. I've never seen this show! I'm always told that I'm living under a rock because there are so many shows and movies I've never seen lol.

  3. I used to watch it every day when I was little! Sometimes my family will have it on and I cringe at how dramatic the characters are in some scenes, a little over the top! Still, the show is really good.

  4. She looks just amazing! Sooo fabulous, love her style!
Would love if you could check out my blog if you get a chance!

  5. Some of the looks can be transformed in nowadays. Unfortunately I haven't seen TV show or read the books.

    xoxo Ra

  6. I had heard of the show, but had not seen it, I read the books though. It's funny to see some of those styles, especially the oversize blazers. :)

  7. Oh my it really is soooo 80's... I don't really like the trends from that decade... I am already recreating some 90's stuff.
