{outfit} Those Hard to Find Basics

  Friday, June 5, 2015 at 7:30 AM   |    Post a Comment     Tagged:,,,,,,
This outfit features two new basics that should get a lot of wear this Summer! First up is the navy tee which I have been wanting for quite some time but was never able to find. You know how it is, the perfect basic is so hard to find! The same with these navy sandals. I have a bunch of navy pieces but no navy shoes so I searched high and low and ended up splurging on my FIFTH pair of Ancient Greek Sandals. What can I say? If you like a brand, stick with it.

Have you bought anything in Net-a-Porter's End of Season sale yet? I'm still holding out for lower prices, but you can see my favorite pieces here. I bought this skirt during last year's sale and although it has only made it on the blog a couple of times it has been worn quite a bit!

Tee: Madewell, Skirt: Carven (Net-a-Porter Sale, also here), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Clio' (Nordstrom), Necklace: Marrin Costello

  1. The perfect basics are so hard to find! That tee looks SO soft and comfy. I'm going to have to check out the sale, your picks are to-die for, especially that cross-body bag.

  3. Its funny how you'd think if the pieces are "basic" they're gonna be an easy find..
I love the sandals and you'll get your money's worth :)

  4. Love the skirt. It reminds me of the Wrath of Khan, when Carol Marcus shows Kirk the world they created with the genesis device. I know it is obscure but that is what it reminded me of.

  5. Glad you finally found your navy tee, and the sandals are just the perfect, simple, classic kind of shoe you can wear forever. Plus you know they fit well, so totally worth the splurge.

  6. Basics can be hard to find sometimes but it is always worth the search when you find the perfect one. I find that I tend to buy multiples when I like something too - my favourite slouchy tee I have in 4 colours and some striped versions too...haha! I just love them every time I wear them.
