{outfit} Basic Black in New York City

I wore this last Friday for a quick afternoon/early evening trip to New York City to meet up with some out of towners. We walked to a few of the touristy places (Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, etc.) and also went to a place I had recently found out about because they sell Dō cookie dough. It's an underground market near Columbus Circle called Turnstyle. I went in hoping to buy a few tubs of cookie dough but they charged TWELVE DOLLARS! WHAT?! (I didn't remember them being so expensive when I ordered online last year) I only bought one to satisfy my craving. We also had a quick slice of pizza while there to tide us over for ramen at Tabata Ramen later in the evening.

I wasn't in the mood to wear something super stylish so I went the other NYC route, basic black and jeans plus a designer bag for punch.

Sweater: Everlane 'the cashmere crop v-neck', Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' High Rise in Supreme (Gilt Groupe),  Boots: Vince Camuto (Marshalls), Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay), Sunglasses: Gucci, Eyeglasses chain: Tinksky (Amazon), Necklace c/o Uncommon Goods, Rings: Lumo 'Violet', Mejuri 'Stellar', Moon Magic 'Eclipse', Moon Magic 'Petite Double', vintage

  1. Such a great casual outfit! It's a shame that the cookie dough was so expensive, it sounds like it's delicious!

Hope you are having a great weekend! Yesterday I went to a BBQ, and today we are having a party! I'm looking forward to it :)

  3. Those boots look perfect for the city, and a quick trip with ramen sounds delightful. Such a bummer the do is so expensive! Might as well make your own - did you know you can buy pasteurized eggs?
