{outfit} As Cold As Ice

Last week I played hooky for the day and drove up to my friend's house in Massachusetts. From there we, along with a friend visiting from Australia, drove up to New Hampshire to visit the Ice Castles! I had never been so I was pretty excited. Unfortunately none of us were dressed warmly enough despite our layers. We stayed for 10 minutes before our toes started to freeze, ha ha! But it was so worth it even for that short amount of time. Who doesn't love an adventure?

P.S. I FINALLY found the brand that makes these boots my Grandmother gave me from YEARS ago.  I linked a bunch below. Debating buying myself another pair for when these fall apart because I wear them so often in Winter.

Sweater: Inis Crafts (Marshalls), Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Boots: Vintage Snowland Moccasin Ankle Boots (from Grandma), Scarf: Madewell Houndstooth Patchwork Scarf, Faux Fur Leopard Coat: Sisters - vest version (Marshalls), Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted)

  1. They usually do Ice Castles here every year and this was the first year I didn't go --- it's been like -36 here with the windchill for the last little while and that's just too cold!

  2. It's a shame your outfit wasn't warm enough as it looks so cosy! I can't imagine all the extra layering required in those kinds of temperatures though, haha! :)

Hope that your week is off to a good start! I just posted my weekday wear linkup, I'd love you to join! :)

  3. That is cute look but with sever cold you pretty much have to dress like you are crossing the frozen tundra. But it is cool you did this, and that wall of ice behind you is no joke, it is like the wall on GOT hahaha

  4. The ice castles are so cool! I'm sure they look even more amazing in person. Even if it was too cold to stay, you still got some great photos.
