This cardigan may be one of my favorite thifted finds; at least top 5. I got it for $8 (I think) at a Goodwill and it is SO perfect for Fall and Winter. It's heavy, yet light, if that makes sense. I can throw it on over a tee or tank on cooler days and on COLD days layer it with other sweaters and wear it like a coat. I'm wearing all the same pieces in this look as I did 5 1/2 years ago, these pieces have definitely stood the test of time and will continue to!

Cardigan: Ralph Lauren (Goodwill), Turtleneck Tank: Willi Smith (TJ Maxx), Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Wedges: Burberry Metallic Mutlistrap Espadrille - similar (The Outnet), Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Ozzie Square Baby Aiden' (Shopbop)

A casual weekend outfit worn to hang around the house and read in the yard. This sweater is another one of my great steals, $8 from Goodwill at least 5 years ago. I also have a feeling this is going to be my jacket of the Summer. I've had it since 2 Memorial Days ago but I've been wearing it a LOT more this year.

Chambray Bomber: Cloth + Stone c/o Marshalls, Sweater: Ralph Lauren (Goodwill), Jeans: Current/Elliott skinny jean in Love Destroyed, Sandals: Sam Edelman c/o ThredUp, Sunglasses: Chanel, Necklace: House of Harlow 1960 (gift from Lydia)

This outfit is nothing special, until you look at the shoes. Sometimes all you need for a great outfit is a killer pair of heels. They instantly make this outfit cooler and it is still, in my opinion, stylish almost 3 years after it's original debut.

Tee: Everlane, Sweater: Ralph Lauren (Good Will), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Heels: Miu Miu (eBay), Necklace:  SparkleFarm (etsy)

Happy Christmas Eve! For this week's throwback look I decided to rewear what I wore on Christmas Even in 2012! That year I went a little more casual than usual with jeans so it was easy to wear the look for my regular day-to-day activities. And this is all the same pieces I wore, except the jeans. I do still have the jeans in this outfit but I wore a new pair instead. Lydia was kind enough to help me with these outfit photos so of course I look way better than normal. ;)

Turtleneck Tank: Willi Smith (TJ Maxx), Blazer: Darjoni (Good Will), Jeans: J Brand 811 Photo Ready Mid-Rise Skinny (Gilt), Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Resale)

More Spring weather allowed me to break out my 3/4 sleeve striped sweater! I love this baby, best Good Will find ever, can't beat $6! I wore this outfit hanging out with my cousins on Saturday before our first Easter get together. Simple outfits are always my favorites. Good thing too because I'll be dressing pretty basic on my vacation next week!

Sweater: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (Good Will), Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Flats: Chanel (eBay), Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Henry Dinky' (Gilt), Rings: old, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lumo 'Violet, Lumo 'Rope', Sunglasses: Ray-Ban 'Erika' (Ditto), Bag c/o Orox Leather

This cardigan is so warm and cozy. I have been throwing it on over my pjs at night to keep me extra toasty so I figured I should wear it in an outfit too! I believe I only paid $4 for it, score!  It wasn't super cold this day so I was okay in this layered look - tank top, sweater and cardigan. I like mixing over-sized sweaters with tighter fitting under-layers, that way I don't look like a snowball, ha ha. Although, sometimes I feel like looking fat and fluffy, so I just wear this.

Sweater: Vanessa Bruno (Roundabout Resale), Caridgan: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (Goodwill),  Jeans: J Brand c/o Marshalls, Boots: R2 (DSW), Necklace: House of Harlow (South Moon Under)

Back in July I filmed a television segment for the show Extreme Cheapskates. First of all, I never thought I would be doing that (read: I am super shy, so talking to a camera used to be out of the question.) Second, it was quite the experience seeing how "reality" shows are created.  Lydia was asked to be on the show so they could showcase the thriftiness that makes her so awesome. Then they asked if she had a friend that would consent to tagging along on a shopping trip with her to be "taught her ways."  She finds amazing pieces for great prices so she doesn't break the bank to make an outfit.

The episode aired almost exactly a month ago, and let me tell you, it has been rather interesting seeing the reaction. A few of my family members just happened to have the show on and saw me, so they called my Mom to tell her how excited they were.  And I told a select few family and friends since I wasn't sure how dumb I was going to look.

See all the pictures from our photoshoot over at Lydia's blog!

(yes, I'm wearing my own shoes and jewelry in most of the looks as well as my own jeans. AND I kept the kimono top/silk top we found at Good Will because it was a fun look!)

Friday again! This week actually went by pretty quickly, which I am glad of. I've been super tired lately and waking up at 5:30 wasn't helping the situation. Thankfully I was able to stay home yesterday too so I caught up on a little more sleep since I was able to sleep until 9. But  now I can have a nice, relaxing weekend! So far no plans, I'll probably catch up on all the old movies I have DVR-ed.

Monday: Turtleneck Tank: Willi Smith (TJ Maxx) $15, Blazer: Darjoni (Good Will), Jeans: rag & bone (Shopbop), Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Consignments), Necklace: Grandma's, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

Tuesday:  Top: Everlane, Skirt: T by Alexander Wang (net-a-porter), Cardigan: Tahari (TJ Maxx), Booties: R2 (DSW), Necklace: Vanessa Mooney (giveaway), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's
I have a nice backlog of outfit posts going for me, we'll see how long that lasts.  Anywhoo, I wore this the weekend before Christmas to go see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug with my best friend.  So good! People always expect me to say Harry Potter movies are my favorite, but it's actually the magical land of Middle Earth that holds my heart in films. (in books, however, it's Potter all the way.)

It was on the warmer side this day so I decided to forgo a coat and wore a sweater with a blazer.  And I had to wear my new favorite shoes even though there was rain in the forecast. Luckily the rain didn't come until I had made it home. I did have a backup pair of shoes in the car ready for action.

Yesterday I posted my Christmas Day outfit, today I'm sharing Christmas Eve. A roundabout way to do it, but that's okay! This London Times dress has quickly become my go-to holiday outfit. I wore it for Thanksgiving and now for Christmas.  I'm also wearing an awesome bracelet watch that Born Pretty sent me before Christmas. I have a thing for animal jewelry so I was so excited to see it is a snake! Born Pretty is also offering everyone 10% off with code MEGANBC10.  You can get anything from a great women’s watch to a new iPhone 5 case.

And: Happy New Years Eve! I hope you all have more exciting plans than me. I'll be sitting at home all by my lonesome.  But I like a low key night so it's fine by me.

Blazer: Darjoni (Good Will), Dress: London Times (from Lydia), Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls), Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom', Watch c/o born pretty

* Disclosure: I have received free products from Born Pretty for the purpose of this post
It seems I have been into layering sweaters over dresses lately.  First last week, now this week. Ha ha.  I wore this last Thursday on my day off to run some errands.  We're getting into that nice pre-fall weather where we can wear sweaters and bare legs and be okay most of the time.  Such perfect weather if I do say so myself! Luckily, since this is a sweater over a dress I could have taken the sweater off if it suddenly heated up.
