Here's the last of my Pennsylvania outfits! I wore this to go to the Peddlers Village shopping center and Crystal Cave.  I tried some more Summer layering for this look, a sweater tank over a dress. Worked pretty well! Except I was a little self conscious about the straps of the dress peeking out on my shoulders, looks like another type of strap that I usually like to conceal ;)

Last week I was visiting my sister in Pennsylvania. She lives on a golf course with this cute pond! While I spent most of the week in the house working we did have some fun in the evenings and on Wednesday we visited a shopping village and a cave (I promise, it was cool).

I hope everyone in the US is going to enjoy their day off. I imagine I'll be working on a secret project all day (not blog related) but it will still be nice to not have to worry about real work.

I wore this for brunch in the city with a few friends! I took these photos after I got home so I'm a bit disheveled in the photos, what can you do?  The fishtail braid has become my go-to this Summer. Whenever I don't want to leave it down or put it in a ponytail I just through it up in a fishtail!

Before I went on my vacation Lydia and I hit up Roundabout Resale for their Summer sale. I picked up this adorable Carolina Herrera dress, which was PERFECT for our day trip to Newport! They're very preppy up there and I think this dress fit the bill.  It was very empty the morning we went, which was fine by me, I hate crowds!

I wore this outfit to check out a tiny little "artists guild" shopping thing in Rhode Island. It turned out to be 5 tables with crafty type things, a little underwhelming. BUT there was a necklace that was really pretty made with stones (but a tiny bracelet from the same person was $45 so I didn't bother looking at the price and passed it by.)  After that we went to a fun candy store where I bought some My M&Ms .

I have nothing exciting to say today. I was going to leave this outfit without a description, but that felt weird. Although this is weirder. Moving on: I wore this for my Dad's birthday lunch by the water a couple weekends ago. Easy, breezy and fun!

When I started this blog I hardly ever wore makeup or used skincare products. But throughout my years of blogging I've been gifted samples of all sorts of beauty products and started to experiment with others. Over time my favorite products have changed. Previously I've raved about L'Oreal's Youth Code line and Simple Skincare, but I've moved on to more expensive products recently. Read on to see what I'm loving at the moment.  Keep in mind that I'm a super lazy person, so if I can do this, you can!

Morning Routine: In the morning I use 3 products, 4 if it's the weekend.  I start off with Lancôme Rénergie Eye Multiple Action around my eyes. Next I use Lumene Vitamin C Day Cream with SPF 15. On top of that I'll use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel for a nice kick of moisture. On the weekends I'll add in Chanel's Le Weekend de Chanel.

Evening Routine: My night-time routine is similar to the morning, I have a product for my eyes, a serum and a moisturizer. I begin with Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye followed by Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. Next I use La Nuit de Chanel moisturizer. If I have any blemishes I'll apply some boscia Clear Complexion Willow Bark Spot Treatment. Once again, on weekends, I will replace the Chanel moisturizer with Le Weekend de Chanel.

P.S. If you are on the fence about the Chanel Resynchronizing Skincare line I recommend buying the mini sample size. I started off with that and it lasted about 6 months and when I ran out I bought the larger sizes. I haven't gotten the full size of Le Jour de Chanel yet because I'm so happy with Neutrogena's Hydro Boost which is a similar product.

Pre- and Post-Shower: Back in February I read a post on Brooklyn Blonde about Dry Brushing and thought I would give it a try. I use the Mio Skincare Natural dry body brush before I shower to help easily remove dead skin cells and get the blood flowing. I shower at night rather than in the morning because I hate drying my hair before I go out so my hair either goes into a bun or I sleep with damp hair (I know, I know, not good!)

After I shower I use body lotion all over to keep my skin silky smooth. I'm currently using lotion I bought in Vermont, but previously I've used Bliss Body Butter and Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion.

Makeup:  I learned how to apply makeup at my local Lord & Taylor's Chanel counter so I am a loyal Chanel user.  Many people used to ask why I would spend so much on makeup. My answer was simple: I knew if I spent a lot of money on it I would use it. It was a motivation to myself to use makeup. Plus, the packaging is pretty!

My makeup routine is pretty simple. Step 1: Blush. Step 2: Mascara. Step 3: Lipstick.  If I'm going out or doing something special I'll add some eyeshadow into the mix. There was a time when I would put on foundation every day even though I hated it and was never sure I was doing it properly.  So now I leave it out all together and only use it on rare occasions. I do use Lancôme Dreamtone Ultimate Skin Tone Corrector in the Winter.

See my current favorites below. I have my handful of lipstick shades and a rotation of mascaras. There are a few others waiting for when one of these run out, I don't like to have too many open at once!

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow (79 Spices), Physicians Formula Va Va Voom Volume Mascara, Benefit they're real! lengthening mascara, Lancôme GRANDIÔSE - Wide-Angle Fan Effect Mascara
I wore this over the weekend to do some shopping with my sister and her boyfriend. We went to one of my favorite stores, Mother Earth Gallery. I have to limit how often I go there because I can never go in without buying a new crystal. This trip I bought some azurite. And ignore all the wrinkles, when I put this on in the morning it was fine, but sitting in a car will have some adverse effects on any fabric.

This is what I wore on the 4th of July. It was a little chilly during the day so I was able to wear a sweater over my romper. Probably not the best idea bathroom-wise, since I had to take off my sweater then my romper, but what can you do?

I wore this outfit over the weekend and it's awesome how comfortable we can dress now without actually wearing pajamas. I refuse to wear sweatpants out in public, so these Sea pants are the next best thing! Unfortunately it was threatening to rain all day so it was on the cooler side, but that just meant I got to wear my chambray jacket!

Our last 2 days were spent at Disney. On Sunday we went to EPCOT with another friend and accomplished quite a lot! We went on all the rides we wanted, had lunch in China and dinner in Italy and visited more countries in between! Quite the round the world trip.  This was probably the hottest day during our stay so wearing a tee was probably a bad idea. We just made sure to keep hydrated and ducked into stores as much as we could to escape the heat!
