Sometimes it's hard to decide what to wear, so on this particular(ly foggy) day I had two outfits and switched between them during the day. It was a simple change - swap out a vest for a long cardigan and *poof* a new look! It was also warm enough that I didn't need a jacket, which was nice for the middle of January. Am I the only weirdo who does this? I certainly hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I've had these photos saved for a couple months and am finally posting them...better late than never, right!? Anyway, Oasis and Warehouse both have amazing lookbooks for this Autumn/Winter season.  I definitely have my eye on a bunch of the pieces. What do you think? I'm smitten with all the outerwear, so many gorgeous coats and jackets.

Boy am I glad it's Friday. Weekends really are the best invention ever.  I'm not saying I don't like my job, but sometimes it's nice to have a break from the craziness. This week was indeed crazy, we were super busy, which is good, so I was very stressed.   In other news, my brother is graduating from college this week, it makes me feel old even though I'm only 3 years older than him.  So on Sunday I'll be getting up super early to drive to the ceremony and then the whole family will be going out to lunch after.

P.S. I was very excited on Tuesday because I instagrammed my outfit & DKNY PR Girl tweeted it and called it 'Chic." WOO! That's the second time she's tweeted me in a week! The first was when I posted my manicure alongside my new DKNY wallet, to which she replied "stunning."

P.P.S. If you haven't seen the Dead Giveaway video yet, do it now. Best thing ever. I laugh every time I think about it. My favorite parts: 'we eat ribs with this dude' and 'there's some 'lil girls up in that house!'

Oh London, how I miss it. I always find myself reminiscing about my past 2 trips to that wonderful city and am itching to go back. I went for the first time in July 2011 and then was back again in March 2012 (both times for Harry Potter events,) now I'm going through withdrawals because it has been over a year since my last trip!  This shirt (and all my photos) help me get through the days when I just want to pack up my bags and hop on a plane.  Who wants to go?!

On a totally different note, these jeans used to be longer. I wore them once, then washed & dried them and they shrunk! Weird, right? But I think I like them better cropped like this, don't you? Showing a bit of ankle, scandalous! And, these sandals are 3 years old and are starting to fall apart. I'm quite depressed because they are one of my favorite pairs.  The bottoms are starting to peel (I should probably re-glue them) and strings are starting to come off the straps.

Last Friday Christine, Lydia and I went out for pizza at Modern Apizza in New Haven.  Of course we had to take outfit photos before eating, a fashion blogger must. We found a great spot on the green for photos, but unfortunately there was a frightening woman who kept talking to us while we were taking photos so I was a bit awkward.  After we ate (I had half a garlic bread and half a small pizza and the other ladies shared a pizza...ha ha) we decided to do a bit of shopping. We stopped at Urban Outfitters where I picked up a cute midi ring and "M" earrings.  I also wanted to buy this shirt (or the tank top version,) but it was still too expensive even on clearance, so I'll wait.  Lydia got the same ring in gold and Christine got the same earrings (but C's of course,) yay for twins! To end the night we got some delicious ice cream and then headed home.  Another great evening!

The first part of this week was so lovely! The sun was shining and it was nice and warm, Tuesday it was in the low 80s! Sadly Wednesday night and Thursday were gross and rainy-ish.  I'm going to have quite a busy weekend, but I won't tell you why yet...it's nothing exciting. Just something I'll mention eventually. I hope you all had a wonderful week and an even better weekend!

That's all for today, I'm at a loss for words it seems.

Breaking news: I didn't wear a coat 3 days this week! That's right...it's getting warmer!  I was able to sneak by without a coat from Tues-Thurs by wearing an extra sweater for my walk and then talking it off at the office (Wednesday I didn't even need that.)  Hopefully it stays nice for my long weekend, I have today off and I'm taking Monday off to get some rest.  It's also Easter this Sunday, so I'll be with my Mom's side of the family.  But I see them almost every Sunday anyway so that's not really a big deal.

On Wednesday I went to a Madewell Shop into Spring event with some friends from work. Unfortunately I didn't buy anything. But I had good reason - I bought a new Macbook Pro on Tuesday! Woo! I got a refurbished 17in (because they don't make it anymore and I love the bigger screen) because my current Mac is getting old and slow (I also need more space, it only has 150GB of space, my new one will have 750.) I've been putting it off for far too long and I figured now was the time because who knows when they will run out of refurbished 17 inch models.  I can't wait for it to arrive, I love shiny new objects. ;)

UPDATE: Many of us in the Potter world (and general movie/tv/theatre lovers) learned this morning that Richard Griffiths (Uncle Vernon in Harry Potter) has passed away.  He was an amazing actor and will be missed. RIP Richard Griffiths.

What a week! Work was insanely busy so I am happy the weekend is almost here. I'm spending the weekend at my parents' house because we're celebrating Easter with my Dad's side of the family. We usually do this with holidays so we don't have to go to two houses on the actual holiday, ha ha.

Last night I went home to get my mountain of mail.  The We Are Handsome suit I bought was too big, it was falling off me. So depressing.  So I am still on the hunt for a small.  I also got a gorgeous Skagen watch (image) and a plain black tee from RueLaLa as well as some more bracelets from Ten Thousand Villages. And, in non-fashion purchases, I added some movies to my Disney collection.

This week was back to business, I was so glad to be able to get back into the office.  Work was quite busy but that's better than being bored, right?  Fashion Week has begun and so far I am hoping to get to a fun press brunch on Monday (if I can spare a couple hours away from the office) and we'll see if I get invited to anything else.  Although, my email being on the fritz might pose a problem because my contacts may be emailing me without checking the blog and seeing it's not working....ahh!

I hope everyone on the East Coast is ready for Winter Storm Nemo's arrival.  I don't have much food in the house so if we get snowed in, I'm in trouble!  But I'm sure we'll all be fine, it should be a rather interesting weekend though.

This weekend I'm going to try and do something really fun for the blog, we'll see if I have time though!  I'll also be doing my usual pre-wear outfit posts for next week (unless there is too much snow outside.)  Then I'll be hanging out at home, grocery shopping and maybe baking? What are your weekend plans?

NOTE: Unfortunately I will be unable to access my regular email for 3-5 days because I couldn't reset my AT&T password and they have to send me a new one by snail mail (WHAT?!) Perfect timing too, right in the middle of fashion week...grrr! So until then, please email me via: megan[at]meganbarrow[dot]com

I know Spring feels like months away, and it is, but I could not resist sharing these few looks from the Oasis Spring/Summer 2013 collection, Bloomin' Lovely.  There are 31 looks in total and I chose my favorite 6, so there are plenty more where these come from.

I am quite surprised at my choices, I'm not usually one for such girly colors and floral prints. But I am obsessed with the printed suits below, especially the first one, simply perfect! And the bottom dresses are all equally lovely, the cut of the middle one is beautiful and I just love the watercolor-esque print on the last.

Thanks to the Oasis PR team for sending over the lookbook!
Here's another new item, although I didn't purchase this one. I was gifted this fun Oasis Running Hound Print Shirt a couple weeks ago and it is so fun! It's in burgundy, one of my favorite colors, but has an added touch of fun with the horse and hound print (does that make anyone think of Notting Hill? ha ha)! I forgot to take a close-up because it was so cold! Don't worry, I don't walk in these shoes in the snow/city, I have a pair of "walking to work shoes" and change into my heels at the office. I also look like a crazy person with my gloves, scarf, hat and sunglasses while I walk (my eyes water really easily in the cold so I have to keep them covered!)
