I really need to get rid of this sweater but I can't bring myself to do it! The unique shape (half turtleneck, 3/4 sleeve and a little loose in the under-arm area) just makes it so fun. It's just REALLY itchy so I regret having it on after a couple hours...maybe I'll let it go after this Winter. I don't have the cute owl necklace anymore (it broke) so I substituted in R2D2! You can always use a little geek chic in your looks, right?

I almost feel bad for being excited for the New York trip I'm currently on. Every now and then I get waves of sadness remembering what happened early Wednesday morning.  I'm still reeling from the results of the election but am trying to make sense of it all. America as we know it will be different as of January 20th. It's changing already. Many of my friends fear for their safety because of the color of their skin, religious beliefs or who they love. It makes me incredibly sad and I can't really put it into words. So all I'll say for now is, we need to fight harder than ever for our rights and stay strong.

The Original:
Last weekend I went on a quick overnight trip with my parents to visit my sister's new house in Pennsylvania. Since it was going to be a quick trip all I packed in my Lo & Sons bag was Star Wars pajamas, a second sweater and second pair of shoes. So you'll be seeing a second outfit featuring these Free People jeans next week!

While we were there we went to a crazy quilt shop and an antique shop. I ended up buying a vintage Mickey Mouse phone and a Lady Baltimore suitcase.

Sweater: Witchery (Jamie-Lee's blogshop), Jeans: Free People 'Jax' patched skinny, Flats: Chanel (eBay), Necklace: R2D2 (Kohl's), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale)

May the Fourth Be With You!!!! Quick post today to say Happy Star Wars Day!!! Will you be watching any? I am planning on watching The Force Awakens with my adorable Sphero BB-8 because he reacts to the movie! (I've been so busy lately I haven't had a chance to watch with him yet, but I did watch twice since buying the DVD) I'll probably watch the original trilogy too while I work, ahh the perks of working from home!

And now, here are some shots from my photoshoot with Kohl's last September! View more here and behind the scenes here! (light saber glows added by me)

And a cute video of BB!
A nice, easy outfit for a day of lounging and baby holding a couple weekends ago. Is this outfit really blog-worthy? Probably not. Do I care? Nope! The purpose of this blog is to show you what I wear on a day to day basis, even if it's just a sweatshirt and jeans!

Update: Just realized it was the perfect day to post this outfit! Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available on Digital formats today! (DVD/BluRay on Tuesday)

Well I'm back to blogging after a very interesting week! I got home last Wednesday night and was expecting to have a post up on Friday but I got super sick on Sunday night and spent my last 3 days of vacation in bed. Talk about a bad way to end a trip! But the trip started off well enough. We spent Wednesday night and Thursday at Disney (Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.) My outfit wasn't the most exciting so I didn't take any "real" outfit pictures, but here are a few that show off the outfit, and some fun Star Wars and Fantasia characters.

Top: French Connection c/o Marshalls, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini)

No throwback outfit this week since it's New Years Eve and I doubt anyone will be visiting the blog today! Also, it's the last day of the month so that means Wardrobe Update time!  I got a few new things for Christmas, but sadly I think only 1 is definitely staying so I only listed that piece for now. I already returned the two things I picked myself because they didn't look great. I made a replacement order so hopefully the new items are a better fit (literally and figuratively!) They should be delivered this afternoon!

[Update: The Madewell order came in, everything was great! They've been added below]

I'll be heading to Lord & Taylor with my Mom today to return a dress she got me. It's really fun and fits me great but I know it won't get a lot of wear. I decided to keep a pretty tan and white cardigan she picked out. At first I wasn't sure about it since it isn't my usual dark colors, but it's so soft and cozy!

I blame my aunt for my regular spending this month. When I went for my monthly massage we decided to go to some consignment stores in the area. I ended up buying two coats and a pair of loafers. BUT I only spent $50, so not as horrible as it could have been.

Overall I think I did pretty good with spending this year. There were a few months where I fell off the less is more train, but these last few months - excluding December - I really only bought one or two things that enhanced my wardrobe. My best purchases of the year, by far, were the DKNY colorblock cardigan and DKNY romper. Both of them got a ton of wear (on vacations and while at home.)

If you noticed, I said last Friday that I wasn't going to see Star Wars on Thursday - opening day. In the end I changed my mind since I was in Florida and my friends were going, I couldn't not go, right?! So I've seen it twice already and can't wait to see it again.  This is what I wore on Saturday when I saw it with my family! My brother said it looked like I had a wookie skin on with my vest. Whatever. I promise, this will be the last Star Wars themed outfit for a while, I know you guys are probably getting tired of them! Ha ha.

Vest: French Connection (Marshalls), Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Flats: Etienne Aigner (thrifted), R2D2 Necklace c/o Kohl's

Happy Monday! As many of you may have noticed from my Instagrams last week, I took a last minute trip to Florida with a friend! I can't turn down a trip when it's cheap! (Free flight with points and cheap hotel!)  I got some more use out of my Universal Orlando Annual Pass, it's definitely getting a nice workout this year.  We spent most of our time there but visited Disney on one day to see it at Christmas!  I only took outfit photos on one day so here we go! (I'll post some candid photos tomorrow)

My friend did my hair in a "zipper braid" (Day 4, our last day) and it came out so cool! I was going to keep it in my hair overnight so I could wear it to see Star Wars the next morning but it got too messy. So sad!

Harry Potter Tee: old, Jeans: Free People, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini)

And a few other photos where you can sort of see what I'm wearing! Sometimes fun takes precedence over blog photos. (and mostly I forgot!)

Day 1 (flight day) // Cardigan: Banana Republic c/o Westfield Trumbull,  Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Free People, Boots: Vince Camuto  (Marshalls)

Day 2 (Disney) // Cardigan: Banana Republic c/o Westfield Trumbull,  Tee: Zara, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini)

Day 3 (Universal + Star Wars) // Cardigan: Max Studio (gift from Lydia), Tee: Mighty Fine Star Wars ''The Empire Strikes Back'' Thermal Tee c/o Kohl's, Storm Trooper Lapel Pin c/o Kohls, R2D2 Necklace c/o Kohl's, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini)

Happy Star Wars: Episode VII, The Force Awakens release day! I'm a horrible fan and I didn't go to a midnight showing, nor am I going today. But I have two excuses. 1. I hate crowds, so opening weekend is bad enough and 2. I'm going with my Dad, sister and brothers since we saw episodes 1, 2 and 3 together in theaters. So we have to find a day that worked for everyone. We are going tomorrow morning at 11:20am!

But, in celebration, here's a Star Wars themed outfit! Empire Strikes Back is probably my favorite of the movies, so this shirt I got from my Kohl's Star Wars Photoshoot is perfect for me. I can never fully decide, it's like choosing between children. I'll be wearing my R2D2 sweatshirt when we go see the movie.

Cardigan: Banana Republic c/o Westfield Trumbull,  Tee: Mighty Fine Star Wars ''The Empire Strikes Back'' Thermal Tee c/o Kohl's, Jeans: Free People, Over-the-Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW), Storm Trooper Lapel Pin c/o Kohls

Sometimes when I'm browsing online stores I see outfits that I can recreate with pieces I already own and save them. I've had the inspiration for this outfit saved since May 2014 and FINALLY wore it...oops! I don't have a black button-down so I improvised with my DKNY cozy and turned it into a shirt. I think my look came out pretty good, what do you think?

Jacket: Evan Picone (Coco's $10 sale) Top: DKNY cozy (Marshalls), Jeans: J Brand (Marshalls), R2D2 Necklace c/o Kohl's, Flats: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Bag: Chanel (Madison Avenue Couture)

Inspiration outfit via Net-a-Porter. MM6 Maison Margiela Wool-blend felt coat, TOME Shirt, Rag & bone Jeans, Acne Studios Pumps, Maison Martin Margiela Ring, Maison Martin Margiela Shoulder bag

Sometimes all you need is a comfortable pair of jeans and an R2D2 sweater.  I wore this on Sunday to hang around with the family. I probably should have dressed warmer considering the fact that there were some FLURRIES....really hoping we don't have another Halloween blizzard this year. That would not be fun! I like snow in December, after that it can stay away, ha ha.

R2D2 Sweatshirt: Mighty Fine c/o Kohl's (sold out online), Jeans: rag & bone (Shopbop), Boots: Candie's c/o Kohl's
