By now everyone has seen the Phillip Lim for Target lookbook, but today I wanted to share my favorite looks from the collection and what I'm hoping to scoop up on September 15th.  My plan of action is to wake up super early and order a bunch of pieces online and then go to my local Target right when they open and see what we have in store.  The only problem is sometimes my Target doesn't put the pieces out right away (hence my need to order online and then return.)

I'm going to try to get the BOOM sweatshirt, floral shirt dress, cream and black dress,  jeweled sweater and  maybe one of the leopard pieces. I obviously won't get them all, but those are my favorites. I would LOVE the leather jacket but, as it's $250, it's a bit out of my range.

Here is my final Marshalls Project Fab post, for now!  Today I'm sharing the Michael Kors dress I scored for $20 on clearance! I almost didn't see this but found it on my last quick sweep through the dress section. I didn't even bother trying it on and luckily it fit great! I styled it with all black accessories and, since it was raining when taking the photos, I figured why not take advantage and use my umbrella too! I love how the photos look with the rain droplets!

I wore this way back in July on a really hot day.  This crop top has gotten far more wear than I thought it would when I bought it at Kohl's for $6. I wear it as a real shirt on occasion, but mostly as PJs with my grey Soffe shorts.  This was a super lazy day outfit; ponytail, no makeup, out the door!

Crop Top: Mudd (Kohl's), Denim Shorts: Zara, Sandals: Target, Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls), Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop)

Welcome to part 2 of my Marshalls Project Fab posts!  The item featured here is my new Mother skirt. I don't know why I was drawn to this skirt, because it's not something I would normally wear, but it was love at first sight and at only $25 I had to have it!  I decided to style it with more classic pieces for it's first outing, but hopefully as I wear it more I'll get more adventurous (perhaps with some ankle booties and an over-sized sweater?)

I always love hunting for gems at Marshalls, you really never know what you will find. The clearance section is always my first stop at the store, it's where I find most of my favorite pieces.  Then I cycle through the rest of the store after that.  This skirt is definitely one of those gems, it retailed for $178 and I paid a measly $25!  What have been some of your best clearance finds?

Happy Friday! Is everyone ready for the weekend? I sure am! Tomorrow I'm going to the P&G Gymnastics Championship Finals with my best friends and some old gymnastics buddies which should be great fun!  I will also hopefully go grocery shopping with one of them to get our supplies for camping next weekend! And that's all I have planned, a nice easy weekend.  What are your plans?

Here is what I wore for my shopping spree day that included Marshalls and Roundabout Resale.  I spent pretty much my whole clothing budget for the month in one day, so needless to say I won't be shopping for a while. Oops.  I got lots of great things though!  In addition to what I mentioned yesterday, I got a gorgeous two-tone Gianni Notaro purse, Chanel skirt (!!) and Rebecca Taylor dress.  See the instagram video below to see all my purchases.

I'm so excited to be one of the chosen members of Marshalls' Project FAB program! I, along with about fifty other members, will be sharing fab finds from Marshalls.  As most of you know, a large portion of my wardrobe has come from Marshall's (and TJ Maxx.)  It is definitely one of my favorite stores because you can get great designer pieces at far less than retail; I can definitely get behind that!  I've been shopping there since I was young because it's one of my mother's favorite places. You will rarely find us at a mall - too expensive, crowded, etc.  Marshalls on the other hand always has amazing pieces at even better prices!

Last week on my day off I headed to the Marshalls near my dentist's office because I know they have great pieces there (and was going to the dentist anyway, two birds, right?)  I tried on so many things and I actually left the register at one point to go back for something.  I ended up with the following:
  • Michael Kors dress - retailed for $150??, I paid $20
  • Marc by Marc Jacobs Glimmer Finch Tee - retailed for $138, I paid $60
  • Mother Front Slit Denim Skirt - retailed for $178, I paid $25
Here's the first of, what I hope will be, many posts featuring my fabulous finds! For this look I decided to go a bit further into Marshall's territory and only wear other pieces I bought at Marshalls over the years (except my accessories)!

Two Saturday's ago I took a trek up to the southern part of Connecticut to see one of my favorite movies, The Princess Bride, at the drive-in!  I didn't want to go alone so I had Lydia come with me, and it just so happens that it is one of her favorite movies too!  I could watch it all day and not get bored with it and, like most other movies I love, I can say every piece of dialogue and even hum along with the soundtrack (sad, I know.)

Before the movie we stopped at a consignment store where I picked up a cute Calvin Klein overall dress, Apostrophe camisole & Etienne Aicner bag for $15.50! Talk about a good deal.  Then we headed to the drive-in to park our car and were lucky enough to get in the first row! Since we had a few hours to spare we went for a walk to get dinner and once we got back to the drive-in it was completely packed!

Song of the Day: Storybook Love by Mark Knopfler for The Princess Bride soundtrack

Top: Urban Outfitters, Jeans: Free People, Hoodie: Vertigo Paris (TJ Maxx, old), Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs  (Shopbop), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Emma' (Marshalls), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage and Mom's

And some fun photos to show how close we were!

And here is one of my favorite parts of the movie, right at the end ;)
