Since September I have been participating in Marshalls Project Fab program (I participated in a challenge in August and was chosen to be one of 25 members.)  Sadly, my post featuring outdoor entertaining, was my last challenge of the partnership. I, along with the other bloggers participating, are super sad that it has come to an end. But, since Marshalls is so awesome, they sent one last package. An outfit styled specifically for me!

Before this year I had not been a fan of white jeans, but for our confidence challenge I styled a pair and they've begun to grow on me; much to Lydia's amusement because I still claim I won't buy more white pieces. Now I have this second pair with a little more edge thanks to the zippers and moto-style seams near the knee. Look forward to some more white jean looks soon!

There are no words to express how grateful I am to the Marshalls team for allowing me to participate. It has been one of my favorite stores since I began hunting for bargains with my mom in my pre-teen years. To be able to actually collaborate with a brand I love is a dream come true. Thank you Marshalls!

With the warm summer weather comes the chance to throw a party—and maybe even take it outside if the weather permits.  My latest Project Fab assignment came just in time for Memorial Day! This Sunday my mom had our extended family over for a party so I decided to help get ready with supplies (and an outfit) from Marshalls!  See some photos of our decor below with credits under each photo. I'm only calling out items I bought, but I'm sure a bunch of my mothers items are from Marshalls too, or you can at least find similar pieces there.

Marshalls makes it so easy to prepare for a party by stocking tons of unique (and also classic) pieces for up to 60% off retail prices! Every time I go into the home department I could walk away with at least 5 things.  This time I had to leave behind an awesome burgundy frying pan, I may go back for it though!

Luckily we had a perfect day for an outside party, Saturday was wet and gloomy but Sunday was sunny and the perfect temperature. This bomber jacket I picked up was the perfect piece to keep me warm in my gauzy dress when it got chillier.  Notice something weird about the outfit? I'm wearing white again!  Guess I'm warming up to the idea of wearing it myself, although I still worry about getting it dirty.

Last Thursday I was able to go to the grand opening of Marshalls' newest store in New York City, located at 2182 Broadway.  The store is three glorious floors. The first is dedicated to handbags, the next floor has accessories and bath/body products and the bottom floor is full of clothes (men, women, children) and shoes! Tons of shoes! You have to check it out if you are ever in the area.

I met up with Megan of TF Diaries and we shopped; both our eyes were drawn to a pair of gorgeous Cole Haan sandals for $49.99 (retail $248.) Sadly they didn't have my size so I'm going to have to scour all the Marshalls in my area to find them! I did walk away with a pair of Rag & Bone Chambray Cuffed Boyfriend Shorts for $49.99 (retail $154) and Mula sandals for $34.99 (retail around $56) thanks to a gift card from Marshalls.

Here's what I wore! Since it was rainy that day I decided to wait to take my outfit photos.

Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Top c/o Oasis, Jeans: J Brand c/o Marshalls, Flats: Burberry Prorsum (net-a-porter end of season sale), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's

After the opening I took a walk through Central Park and went to one of Roundabout's New York locations. I tried on a GORGEOUS Jason Wu dress I've wanted since 2011 (see the proof in this post) but left it behind because it was still too pricy. I'll probably regret it later though, it was still new with tags and 75% off retail. Finally I met up with Laura who I've been blog friends with for over 3 years. She was visiting from London so it was perfect timing! We bought macarons at Laduree and then sat down for some coffee and hot chocolate. It's so fun when you finally meet someone you've been talking to for years, isn't it?

Last Thursday I headed to Westport for South Moon Under's Grand Opening/House of Harlow Trunk Show with Lydia.  I walked away with two gorgeous House of Harlow necklaces (one I bought, the other was in my gift bag) and had my eyebrows threaded at the Benefit Brow Bar - super cool! I also tried on this Eight Sixty top, but resisted buying it because I'm not sure I want it to be one of my "five" for the French Wardrobe Challenge.

I'm wearing my newest top from Marshalls here that I bought along with the other pieces in my confidence post.  I definitely think it's going to get lots of use this Summer!  And without even realizing it a lot of this outfit is Marshalls, but that will happen when half of your closet comes from the store. What can I say, I love getting deals on clothes, it makes me  happy.

I'm linking up with some of my fellow Marshalls Project Fab members to show off some of our Marshalls finds! You can join too with the widget below:

Marshalls is one of my favorite places to shop because I know I will always get a great deal.  I can find my favorite designers - like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and even Equipment - at amazing prices well below retail. Anyone who knows me will be shocked to see this outfit. Why? Because I'm wearing...white jeans. I always said I would never wear them (for fear of getting them dirty/I feel like they're see-through.) I guess this is why they say 'never say never.'  Since Marshalls makes me confident while shopping, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and wear something I was afraid of.  First white jeans, next, who knows! Maybe a date? ;)

While Lydia was taking photos of this outfit I was singing 'I Have Confidence' from The Sound of Music to myself. *I've always longed for adventure, to do the things I've never dared!* Yes, I'm very strange.  Knowing I got these pieces at amazing prices made that a bit easier. Even though no one else knows I'm wearing an Equipment blouse (except other fashionistas) it gives me confidence. Do you ever feel like that? Maybe you're wearing a certain pair of shoes that you got for dirt cheap and that fact puts a bit more spring in your step.  Or is that just me?

Mother Denim 'The Rascal' Crop Jean: $69.99, retail $196
Equipment 'Mina Tie Front' Blouse: $59.99, retail $198
Solitare Top: $16.99, retail around $32
Etienne Aigner Sunglasses: $9.99, retail around $35

Total Spent: $156.96 | Retail: $461 | Savings: $304.04

Also wearing:  Lauren Ralph Lauren sweater (Lord & Taylor), Marc by Marc Jacobs bag  (Saks Friends & Family Sale),  Necklace: Indulgems (Gilt), Guess heels (Marshalls)

Song of the Day: I Have Confidence from The Sound of Music

I couldn't decide between the Equipment blouse I'm wearing and a second top (which was only $17!) In the end I kept both, everyone should splurge once in a while! So watch out for the second top in a future post. Probably with these jeans.  I could have gotten shoes and a bag in place of the Equipment blouse, but I decided to go for it.

Welcome to part 2 of my cooking post! Just some more detail shots showing the cooking process! See more photos in yesterday's post. Once again, a deluge of photos is about to arrive, but with far less copy.

And a couple bonus photos of my doggy, Layla.
