This dress is one of my favorite buys from Roundabout but I think it's only been on the blog once or twice! For shame! The story of how this dress entered my closet is quite long. Here's the readers digest version: June 2011 it is featured in a Closet-Worthy post. In May 2014 I spotted the dress in one of Roundabout's New York locations but left it since it was still $500. In August of 2014 the dress made it's way to my local Roundabout in Wesport and was part of their Summer blowout sale so I spent $136 on a dress that retailed for $1,995. And it was brand new with tags. SCORE!

I wore this for the first of our two Easter celebrations. My family splits the holiday so we aren't rushing to two houses in one day. I wore this to celebrate with my dad's side of the family.

Dress: Jason Wu 'Okal Print Dress' (Roundabout), Sandals: Prada (The Real Real), Necklace: Marrin Costello

I still remember the day I wore this outfit. It was from when I used to work in New York City and two work friends and I went to a shopping event at a Madewell store. I didn't buy anything, but we did get some tasty froyo! I wore this for a less exciting occasion - to the bank to order some Euros for my upcoming trip to Italy. (WOO!)

Sweater: Madewell (Shopbop), Jeans: Target, Heels: Dolce & Gabbana (Uptown Consignment), Jacket: Theyskens' Theory (Nordstrom Rack)

Almost every year since I got this dress I've found myself wearing it on Easter. It's the perfect piece to celebrate the day and Spring. This Easter felt like Summer with temperatures in the 80s! We actually had to turn on the air conditioning at my Grandmother's and couldn't sit outside for too long because of the heat.

Dress: Jason Wu for Target, Heels: Simply Vera Wang c/o Kohl's, Necklace: Francesca's

Normally when I wear cardigans I keep them unbuttoned but this cardigan is on the shorter side so I decided to button it all the way up and wear it as a top. I think I like it better this way. I wore this when the temperatures were still pretty mild but warm enough to wear sandals. The pom poms on these went with the sweater so well so I couldn't resist pairing them together. I'm still HORRIBLE at tying these and am always stepping on the tassels.

Cardigan: Marc Jacobs (Roundabout Resale), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: M.i.h Jeans 'Tomboy' (Net-a-Porter), Pom-Pom Sandals c/o Soma

This is what I wore to celebrate my Dad's best friend's birthday over the weekend. It was a pretty dive-y place so I figured why not wear my crazy printed top to blend in with the mismatched decor. It was still a liiiiittle chilly so I threw on a fuzzy sweater to keep warm.

I hope everyone who celebrates has a Happy Easter this weekend! We're having one of our family celebrations today and a second on Sunday. I enjoy spreading out the celebrations between 2 days instead of having to rush over to another house on the actual holiday. Plus I get to wear two outfits!

Patchwork Blouse: Saint Laurent (eBay), Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' (Gilt), Sandals: Lanvin (Net-a-Porter), Cardigan: Calvin Klein, Sunglasses: Chanel

Happy Throwback Thursday! I'm almost starting to run out of looks where I still have all the pieces (and aren't totally ugly outfits,) so I'll need to resort to recreations soon. Uh oh!!  But I like this feature so I'm going to continue with it for as long as I can!

Top: French Connection c/o Marshalls, Skirt: Made by Mom, Mouse Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Necklace c/o Groopdealz

We're slowly replacing thick layers with thinner layers and letting the toes out to breathe. Hopefully the temperature keeps inching up these next few weeks! I always forget how nice the color of this shirt is until I decide to wear it.

Vest: Ella Moss (Marshalls), Top: Altuzarra for Target, Jeans: Mother (Marshalls), Sandals: Franco Sarto (DSW)

Who doesn't love a good blazer or curling up with a good book? This blazer wraps both into one. I don't wear it much since it's such a statement piece but it's one of my favorite blazers.  I wish I wasn't still wearing blazers at this point in the year, but what can you do? Sometimes Winter just wants to stick around.

For this outfit I was inspired by Farfetch's brand new Style Guide. They have an article on why velvet should be your go-to fabric and I completely agree! It's one of my favorites to wear because it's luxurious, fun and soft! It can be worn in any season now thanks to all the different styles that are offered. Velvet now comes in slip dresses, blazers, pants and more!

It's also my blog's 7th anniversary today...how crazy is that?!! In the beginning I never planned on sharing my outfits, and now look at me! 4 times a week!

Blazer: Paul Smith (Roundabout), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: J Brand (Gilt), Boots: 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Peggy' (Barneys Warehouse), Necklace: BubuRuby

On Tuesday I shared by Washington DC cherry blossom photo diary and today I'm sharing my only outfit post from the trip. I was in DC for 3 and a half days but only explored on Saturday and Sunday since I worked from my friend's place on Thursday and Friday. I meant to take photos on Saturday but I kept forgetting because we were having so much fun running around the city.

Unfortunately the lighting isn't the best in these photos because there were so many shadows due to the flowers and I had to find spots with no people (which was a challenge.) But I'll take what I can get!  The day was BEAUTIFUL, it finally felt like Spring.

Sweater: Abercrombie (crewneck version), Corduroys: Abercrombie, Boots: Vince Camuto (Marshalls), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika'

And here's a quick look at my travel outfit on Thursday. As you can see, I'm working hard on the train on the way into the city. I had a long afternoon of travel mixed with work when I wasn't on a plane or walking in between modes of transport. Sometimes you gotta work in weird places.

Sweater: DKNY (Net-a-Porter sale), Jeans: Free People, Tee: Piperlime

This particular throwback needed a MAJOR update. The original, while a good concept, did not work. The jeans were too baggy and the boots did nothing to help that fact. And since this sweater is an extra large I needed everything else to be form-fitting to offset the oversized look up top. I also don't have the original jeans or boots anymore. (I might have the jeans saved in a box because they were one of my first designer buys after seeing that Emma Watson loved the brand, haha) I wore this a couple weekends ago to see Beauty and the Beast with two friends.

Sweater: Tahari (TJ Maxx), Tee: Simple Retro, Jeans: J Brand c/o Marshalls, Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW), Sunglasses: Chanel (bought in Greece)

The Original: Sweater: Tahari (TJ Maxx), Jeans: Sass & Bide (eBay), Boots: Vintage (eBay
