On our last night in Rome we made sure to take another walk past the Coliseum. So far on the trip we had seen it at sunset, early in the morning and then we finished off with it lit up at night. Such a great way to say goodbye to Rome!
We also found a pretty blue door during the day and took some photos. I wasn't planning on doing an outfit post with this look since I have worn it so many times but I like the pictures. Enjoy!

On our second day we took a day trip to Pompeii. It was quite the journey getting there. Our train from Rome to Naples was fine, but then it was time to take the metro to Pompeii. There was supposed to be a train 10 minutes after we arrived but we stood on a hot, full platform for an HOUR before the right train came. It was insanity. That meant we got a bit of a later start than we wanted (we got up at 6:30am hoping to get to Pompeii a little after 9 but that didn't happen.)
We still made it to all the places we wanted to see and made it to our train back to Rome a couple hours before it was set to leave. Then THAT train was delayed by an hour so we got back to Rome quite late and had dinner around 11pm. But when in Rome, right? Funnily enough, this was one of Christian's favorite meals and we just happened upon the spot since it was close to our airbnb. I'll share where we ate in the guide next week!

Starting my honeymoon posts a couple days later than planned because the photographer (aka my husband, haha) has had a rough back to work week and hasn't had time to edit photos. We're starting at the beginning of the trip - ROME!
I wore this on our first full day in The Eternal City where we walked a whopping 11.7 miles. I don't think our feet ever fully recovered. We started early in the morning at the Colosseum where we were pretty much alone for the first 10 minutes, which was amazing! Then we saw most of the other big sites of the city (we're overachievers) throughout the day. I'll be going more into our itinerary in a travel guide after the outfit photos!
This romper is always perfect for hot weather, I'm covered up but it's still nice and breezy thanks to the cutout in the back. My blue Marc Jacobs bag is the perfect travel purse because it's not too big yet it can fit everything I need (including a water bottle! except that does stick out a bit.) It got quite the workout on this trip so it will get a much needed break for a while.
Also, as a side note, this is the first post at the start of a partnership with Shopbop! I'll be receiving gift cards in exchange for including them in posts from time to time. Super excited as I've been a Shopbop fan for years - bought one of my first real designer purses (my purple Marc Jacobs) there!

Easing back into the blog after getting back from our honeymoon with my September wardrobe update. I was gone half the month on our honeymoon so it was pretty easy to not shop - apart from the couple things on my list to buy in Europe. Luckily I had a surge in blog revenue before we left so that covered what I bought on the trip!
I only intended to buy one pair of Ancient Greek Sandals on my trip but ended up with 2. I bought the first pair in Santorini for 30% off (WOO!) and still had to visit the new Ancient Greek Sandals flagship store in Athens and ended up with a pair there too. But this is the only actual AGS dedicated store so how could I not? The first pair is part of their yearly limited edition collaboration. This year it was with GAS Bijoux so the sandals have cute little charms on them! The second pair is totally different from what I usually buy because they're slides instead of ones with clasps (I prefer those for walking)
I almost broke down and bought my Gucci Marmont purse in Florence because they had the color I want still in stock (no other stores did.) But I don't have enough saved up yet so I'll keep saving and buy it used once I can. To heal the pain I bought a cute little leather purse at one of those leather shops. Probably not the best quality but it's adorable!

Designer collaborations are all the rage these days, everyone from H&M to Kohl's do collections with famous designers. We can thank Target for making it popular, they started the trend 20 years ago. I believe I used to have a pair of sandals from a collection they did with Isaac Mizrahi but they are long since destroyed from wear.
Last month Target announced they would be re-releasing some of their most popular brand collaboration pieces to celebrate 20 years of designer partnerships! I have bought quite a few pieces from the collections over the years and some remain favorites to this day! One of my absolute favorites is my floral Jason Wu dress that has been on the blog countless times. I also love my 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater and sweatshirt - they are re-releasing both of those! You can preview everything that will be available here and shop tomorrow!
Unfortunately since the collection is being released tomorrow, I will be flying to and enjoying my first night in Rome. Such a shame! But I guess it's stopping me from shopping! Speaking of - this will be my last post until October since I didn't want to have blog posts go up while I'm away. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with our travels through Italy and Greece and when we get back I'll share outfits and travel guides! YAY!

I wore this to go to a blogger dinner at Bhog in Rocky Hill. It's a really fun Indian restaurant that mixes in other Asian cuisines. We tried a HUGE tasting menu and left with very full tummies. I definitely recommend it if you're in the area!
Unfortunately this evening there were TORRENTIAL downpours causing traffic and accidents all over the place. It rained for an hour before Lydia and I planned to take our outfit pictures. Luckily, there was about a 15 minute break in the rain when we took our photos. Talk about Mother Nature lending a hand!
(Ignore the red spots on my knee, did some cupping again with my aunt, ha ha!)

I've had this tank for 4 years but I don't wear it much because I've found it hard to style. The slits make it fit weird with certain items so I can't really wear it with shorts. I attempted to in this look but I'm not sure what I think. I need to stick with wearing skinny jeans to offset the looseness.
I also realize I've been wearing this purse way too often, but I go through phases. I'm going to try to swap it for another purse for a bit but I'm sure you'll see it again in Fall because small purses are "in," not that I really pay too much attention to trends.
