Follow Me
A couple weeks ago I was getting rid of pieces in my closet and brought them over for my mom and sister to dig through.  My mom came up with the brilliant idea of turning this old Hollister dress into a skirt.  I love having a mother who sews (she used to make a good portion of my clothes when I was younger.)  I wore it REALLY high up here and threw the sweater my Grandmother made on top. But the skirt goes below my knees if I wear it on my actual hips. So now I have a myriad of ways to wear it.

It's always hard to get rid of pieces, even things you never wear anymore. I try to do it gradually but sometimes I do a big wardrobe cull. But sometimes all it takes is a little bit of re-imagining for a piece to find a spot in your wardrobe again. I have to do that with this leather skirt I bought for $10, it's just too long. I want to shorten it so it is more like this Burberry London skirt.  First I have to find a tailor and make myself go, ha ha...

The Isabel Marant Resort 2014 was released last week and as usual it delivers! Any collection with purple as one of the main colors automatically has my love, but the IM collections are always so cool; disheveled but put together at the same time. Something I wish I could do, it's so effortless!

I hope everyone in the US is enjoying their Labor Day.  We had our family get together on Saturday and this is what I wore.  It is quite rare for me to wear all white (even this isn't totally white) but I figured in honor of the "no white after labor day" rule, I figured I'd break from the norm!  Since I don't wear white often I don't bother following that rule anyway...what are winter whites for if not for wearing white after labor day?!  Do you follow the rule?

Isn't the title for this post clever (aka not at all)...the wet come from my wet hair and the wild is obviously for my shorts!  I also went super light on the makeup; blush + mascara + lipstick.

Happy Friday!! Who is ready for a long weekend? (well, those of you in the US)  Labor day is upon us which means we're at the unofficial end of Summer.  But never fear, we still have a few weeks until it is officially Fall, still plenty of time to wear all our Summer favorites!

This week was pretty eventful.  Monday and Tuesday were CRAZY at work but both of those days I got some pretty fun news!  On Monday I found out I'm one of the final 25 members of Marshalls Project FAB!  They narrowed down from hundreds (I assume,) to 50 who did posts (see all mine) and then whittled that down to 25. I'm so excited to partner with them over the next year because Marshalls has been one of my favorite stores for as long as I can remember.  The other thing was something more private related to a person I run a fan site for.  Many of you can probably guess, but I'm not going to say who or what. ;)

Today's photos from my camping trip are a mix of everything we did. From swimming, frog hunting, pretending to be bugs, and visiting my favorite store.  Notice my new friend, Arthur, in two of the pictures. I am such a child!
