Requested Dress for Less: Coloring with the Boys & Shop With Confidence Sweepstakes

  Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 8:00 AM   |    Post a Comment     Tagged:,,,
Earlier in the week I got a Dress for Less request from Natalia. She asks: "I would like you to create a cute but practical mom look with lots of color. I am a mom of two boys facing the challenge of daily looking cute, but also being able to play with my boys. I can shop at h&m, zara, mango and other random European shops. But as super cheap as possible! Thanks!"

Since Natalia is a mother of boys I went against using heels and dresses in this look since we all know how boys can be.  Now if it were girls, that would be a different story ;) (unless it was a girl like me, I was a crazy young child) I went with plain jeans since they are a staple in any wardrobe and can be dressed up or down. For a night out all Natalie has to do with this look is change her shoes and maybe swap out the scarf for a rings, bracelets, earrings and necklace.  Also, if you want you can switch out the jeans for a maxi skirt. I tried using more color than this but it kept looking like clown clothes so I toned things down. ;)
Prices in GBP, all from H&M: Jeans: 9.99, Cardigan: 7.99, Top: 2.99,  Flats: 7.99, Scarf: - 4.99, Bag:14.99
TOTAL: 48.94
Maxi Skirt: H&M - 12.99

  31. That is a great functional but fashionable outfit. I have two boys, a girl, and one on the way, sometimes it can be hard to be functionally fashionable as a mom!
