{outfit} In My Life

We had such amazing weather last Wednesday so I decided to wear a sweater my mom passed down to me. My Grandmother made it a LONG time ago and my mom used to wear it all the time, too bad she didn't give it to me earlier this Summer, I could've gotten a lot more use out of it! But no matter, I'll wear it again next year too.

She also gave me two long sleeve sweaters my Grandmother made, one is a pink one she made for my mom, the other is really over-sized because it was made for my dad and he doesn't wear it anymore! Total score because over-sized pieces are on trend this season, and this is even better than buying something because whenever I wear it I'll be reminded of my Grandma.

Sweater Vest: Made by Grandma, Shorts: Zara, Sandals: Target $15, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Watch: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Marshalls) $20, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (net-a-porter) gift card

This post is dedicated to my Grandmother who passed away almost 11 years ago. RIP Grandma.

There are places I remember, all my life, though some have changed. Some forever not for better, some have gone and some remain. All these places have their moments, with lovers and friends I still can recall, some are dead and some are living. In my life I've loved them all.

  1. It's really wonderful that you can hang on to pieces of your grandmother via her clothes - it's why I wear so much of my grandmother's jewelry.

  7. what a great piece! I wish I would have hung onto my grandma's things. She is still with us but lives in TX so I dont see her often. It would be nice to be able to wear something of hers and keep her close by in a sense :)
