This weekend I went to another blogger meetup with my buddies Lydia, Christine and Tiffany. We're trying to make it a monthly event and it seems to be going well so far. We started off with brunch at Lena's in New Haven (I had a delicious Belgian waffle!) After that we headed over to the Yale campus to take out outfit photos, such a perfect location and there are tons of great spots for pictures (even more come Summer.)
Next while walking back to the car we stopped in a couple shops. I bought a couple of bracelets (these) at Ten Thousand Villages, a fair trade store, meaning everything is handmade by artists. There were so many great pieces but I resisted most of them because I don't have that much room for decorations in my house. I kind of want to get a couple more of the bangles I bought. Tiffany and I bought all the ones they had in stock, ha ha.
Finally, we headed all the way to Coco's of Madison. We (Lydia, Christine and I) have been there 3 times in the past month: I think we have a problem. Luckily I only picked up two pieces this time. A pretty orange and red sleeveless top for Summer and a fun Ralph Lauren scarf that I bought to hang on my wall (and possibly wear.)
Aaaand here is my outfit. I wasn't in the mood for any clothes (it was really cold) so I threw on my DKNY dress, warm tights and some flat boots.
Song of the Day: Black or White by Michael Jackson
Dress: DKNY (net-a-porter end of season sale), Boots: vintage (eBay), Coat: DKNY (Bloomingdale's Outlet in 2010), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Watch c/o Caravelle by Bulova & Lucky, Necklace: Shop NBC (giveaway)

I didn't know you and Tiffany cleared them out of the bracelets! haha We'll have to go back again when it's warmer. The photos came out so great!!
ReplyDeleteNice pics! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I'm done with this cold weather...brrr
Yes, Yale is such a perfect spot for photos, even though parking is annoying, we should definitely plan to go back. And at some point get a group photo, haha.
ReplyDeleteConsidering it was as cold as death, I think we did a great job. Such dedicated bloggers, we are.
