{shopping} Dressing For Date Night

My next "challenge" for Marshalls Project Fab is Date Night.   I won't be going on an actual date, but I think a blogger date with Lydia and Christine is much better. This past weekend I headed to my local Marshalls to find an outfit for the evening!  Enjoy a photo diary of the morning.

Step 1: Scour the store for items that jump out at me. Then head to the dressing room to eliminate. Here was my final group for round 1. (the sweater wasn't for date night, I just had to have it)

Step 2: Look for items that go with the pieces I ended up with. Go back to the dressing room and try on the looks. Some will work, some won't. Repeat as necessary.

Step 3: Choose your final look. I ended up choosing between these two.  Instead of buying my accessories at Marshalls I decided to style the looks with already owned pieces.  Check back next week to see which I chose!
* Disclosure: I have received free products or value from Marshalls or The TJX Companies, Inc. in connection with my affiliation with Marshalls Project FAB.

  2. cute skirts :)

  3. I love that black pencil skirt, so cute! And that sweater you had to have is totally your style Megan!

  4. I think you did an amazing job. I like to see how much better some items look when worn. For example that skirt looked blah on the hanger but when you tried it on, it came to life!

  5. Love that pencil skirt you chose! I totally would have gone for the printed tops though - i love the shine!
    Can't wait for our date!

  6. Ahhh I LOVE Those polka dot pants!

  7. I hope you got that black skirt! The cut out on the bottom is so unique and lovely!

  8. Love those amazing skirts! THey look perfect for date night---or the holidays :)

  9. Oh my gosh, both of those skirts and that burgundy sweater were amazing! Great finds. I can't wait to see which you chose. Oh and blogger dates are totally just as fun (if not more) than date dates. ;)

  10. Love both skirts, but since they are midi i would mix it with a more sexy top, not too revealing, just something tight or with a nice v neck,.
