{outfit} Double Trouble

Lately I have been trying to wear pieces in my wardrobe that haven't seen much of the outside world (either because they are too dressy or I don't have much to go with them). This week it's my Burberry London dress from this Summer. I've only worn it twice (to a Wedding and a Christening) so I decided to style it down for work!  It is very thin so I paired it with tights, booties and my super warm Burberry Brit sweater (previously seen here).  Sometimes I wish I wasn't so much of a shopaholic because I already have plenty of amazing pieces in my closet to wear. But shopping is my social activity, otherwise I'd barely leave my house, so it's okay...right? ;)

Even though I love shopping, I'm going to try to cut down substantially for the next few months and, hopefully, buy nothing new (except accessories if I find good ones.)  I always try to be smart with my purchases but still end up purchasing far more than I need. Ex: I have 17 blazers...and hardly any tops (I'm not a fan of tops, I prefer sweaters)

Song of the Day: Double Trouble by John Williams (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Soundtrack)

Dress: Burberry London (Net-a-Porter Sale), Sweater: Burberry Brit (Net-a-Porter Sale), Wedges: r2 (DSW), Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Emma' (Marshalls)

  1. I'm in the process of doing a bit of a wardrobe overhaul myself -- try to separate the stuff that I wear regularly from the stuff that I don't and fill up any gaps...it's actually sort of a lot of work! And you should definitely wear that dress more often, it's so pretty.

  6. I know, sometimes I feel like if I didn't go shopping, I'd never leave the house.

Taking some of your fancier items and dressing them down is a good way to go, you wouldn't want them to feel ignored!
