This Week in Fashion

  Friday, February 10, 2012 at 7:30 AM   |    Post a Comment     Tagged:,,,,,,,,,,,
It looks like there were 2 themes with my outfits this week. I decided to make it a scarf week since I have quite a few and hardly ever wear them. My newest is my blue Jason Wu for Target scarf (worn on Monday)...LOVE it! But, as you can see, I also wore a lot of purple. I haven't had a purple-centric week in a while, I usually try to mix it up with other colors, but we all know how much I love purple. I was also very good and stuck to my wearing makeup every day rule! It always makes me feel so much more confident, I don't know why I don't just take the extra 5 minutes to put it on...I blame laziness.

I was invited to an event in NYC tonight but I'm not sure I'll be able to make it because it is such a hassle to get to the city after work for only a couple hours. I really want to go but, as you know, I'm also scared of catching a cab on my own. Then Saturday I will be doing some house chores. And Sunday is roommate day! My roomie and I are going to spend the whole day together because even though we live together we hardly see each other... Do you have any exciting weekend plans?

Speaking of weekends, you may have noticed that last weekend I didn't post on Sunday like I usually do. I've decided to take both Saturday and Sunday off blogging because traffic is pretty slow because most people are out doing things (unlike me).  I hope you can all survive the heartache I know you are all experiencing right now. ;)

  1. I love purple too and your new Jason Wu for Target stuff looks great! Some of my stuff that I ordered online is starting to trickle in so I'm excited :) If you do end up coming to NYC tonight, I'll be out and about at a couple blogger events so let me know if you want to hang! :)

  3. Sometimes low key weekends are really nice - yours sounds good. I also stopped blogging on weekends last year, it's nice to give yourself a weekend.

  5. Haha, scarf and purple week. It totally works.

I know how you feel about going into the city for just a few hours, especially after work when you are already tired. Still, it would be really fun to go.

I think for fall fashion week we need to plan something -- plan to stay over night for at least one night so that we can get the real (fun) experience. Right? We live so close, yet keep missing out.

  15. Okay so, since I don't have a lot of time, have not commented in forever, but in case I didn't say - love your haircut. And you got some great buys from Jason Wu, I wanted that blue skirt you didn't get as well, is it funny I was actually going to ask you if you could pick up some things on my behalf? Haha probably good for my pocket that I didn't.

ANNNNDDDDD how exciting that you got your chanel! It looks lovely :) Have you worn it out yet? xx

PS. Don't be scared about getting a cab in NYC - it's super easy, I don't even live in the US and I was able to do it!

  32. Don't be afraid to catch a cab! I was terrified to catch one when I started going there for work, so I eased into it by catching one at cab stands when I could, or other places I knew ther would be some and I got more and more used to doing it. I was a regular pro by the time I lived there. I'm not saying its not intimidating, but if I can do it so can you!
