{outfit} The Quest for Erebor

I have a nice backlog of outfit posts going for me, we'll see how long that lasts.  Anywhoo, I wore this the weekend before Christmas to go see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug with my best friend.  So good! People always expect me to say Harry Potter movies are my favorite, but it's actually the magical land of Middle Earth that holds my heart in films. (in books, however, it's Potter all the way.)

It was on the warmer side this day so I decided to forgo a coat and wore a sweater with a blazer.  And I had to wear my new favorite shoes even though there was rain in the forecast. Luckily the rain didn't come until I had made it home. I did have a backup pair of shoes in the car ready for action.

Song of the Day: The Quest for Erebor from The Hobbit 2 Soundtrack

Sweater: Kenar c/o Marshalls, Blazer: Darjoni (Good Will), Jeans: Free People, Loafers: Burberry Prorsum (Net-a-Porter sale), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

  2. I'm such a fan of those shoes! I'm hoping to make it to that film sometime in the next few weeks - I hear it's better than the first installment which I really didn't like (I just felt it took far too many liberties with Tolkien's text).

  3. I'm with you, the LOTR movies beat the HP movies by far, but J.K Rowling's writing will always own my heart. Love the socks + loafers combo!

  6. I thought that the second movie was much better than the first, and it didn't seem like it dragged on either?

Must be cold if you're wearing socks with your loafers (I've never done that before, can't get a handle on it)!

Need to email you back, sorry I've gotten slack xx

  8. I am such a sucker for an animal print smoking flat, so obviously I want to steal those shoes right from your feet! Also, I love that I'm not the only one who keeps back-up shoes in the car because I insist on wearing shoes that may or may not be a terrible choice for the weather. That's totally normal, right? ;)

  9. I love that texture of the jacket. It is so vintage. I think that look is coming back though because I saw some stuff like that at american apparel
